Nathan is the first book in the Heroes of Daisy Hills series which allows the reader to learn more about both Daisy Hills and the small towns residents. This book is about Police Chief Nathan Walker and baker Audrey Hamilton. Audrey owns and runs THE SWEET TOOTH bakery with draws both residents and visitors alike to it's doors for not only it baked goodies but also the best coffee in town. These two are so perfect together and were getting closer a year ago when there was a big bolder dropped in their path. That bolder ended up being Audrey's brother Wade was arrested by Nathan for armed robbery at the local bank. Audrey blames Nathan as Wade was the only one arrested and ultimately jailed for five years while the other men who were there and got away were never found. Since then Nathan has kept his distance from Audrey and the bakery but today that changes, after all it has been a year. Nathan man be "Chief Hot-enough-to-melt your panties" but Audrey is a huge iceberg who has laser focus and is not about to let the man back in her life even if she does want to melt like butter for him. But Nathan is determined to do a full court press to make Audrey realize just how right they are together and is not about to let a little thing like her withering stare keep him away. It is a good thing to when later that evening as she is closing an armed robber walks in the front door. Audrey may start to take him down with her own form of weapon, a wooden rolling pin, but it is Nathan who finishes up as he is back to watching out after Audrey. When the robber gets away it is the perfect excuse for Nathan to watch over Audrey even closer, like right next to her on the couch, and show her once again exactly how good he is at taking care of her.
This story was a wonderful mix of romance, action, suspense, drama, family, friends and some very smokin' hot and steamy passion. I also liked the introduction to some of the other Heroes of Daisy Hills who are going to get their own books. Plus I really loved Summer Maxwell, who is Audrey's bestie and employee. That woman had me laughing more than a few times with what came out of her mouth, but she also is a bestie would cares for Audrey and wants to see her happy and loved up. I really loved this first book in the series and am looking forward to reading the rest as they come out.

Nathan is the police chief in Daisy Hill. He has the hots for Audrey at Sweet Tooth Bakery every since he moved to Daisy Hills. They were getting closer each time he stopped by and then he had to arrest her brother for robbing the bank. Audrey has been angry and want talk to him anymore. It’s been year and he is tired of this situation. He is in love with her and he needs to take action. Everything gets put into overdrive when someone tries to rob the bakery. Now Audrey needs Nathan and feelings start to escalate. Will Audrey be able to be happy? Will Nathan continue to help Audrey? Will the past stay in the past? It is an entertaining, enjoyable read. It has lovable characters and it is filled with a little drama, a little attraction, a little passion, a little love. a great read!

Nathan and Audrey had been close before he arrested her brother for armed bank robbery a year ago. He still parks outside at night to make sure she is safe while she closes the store and cleans up, making sure she gets home safe. One night, after he surprised her by coming into the store for coffee that morning, a robber confronts her. She hits him with a rolling pin and Nathan tackles him, but he gets up and dashes. Nathan and Audrey start talking and etc. again, becoming closer than ever. The characters and the storyline are very entertaining, with intense emotions and feelings. The romance hits a few snags yet, but still hits more high times. A few twists make the story more intriguing. Very well done.

First things first; I really like the cover of this book!
Nathan is the first book in the ‘’heroes of Daisy hills’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Nathan and Audrey were once briefly together until Nathan arrested Audrey’s brother. Audrey loves Nathan but she also hates what he did. Will Nathan get a second chance with the woman he loves?
The chemistry between Nathan and Audrey is clear to see and I liked them together.
I thought the conversation between Audrey and her brother was quite sweet.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

Nathan continue to love Audrey but she wouldn’t give him the time of day. One night as she’s closing up her shop someone breaks in and tries to rob her. She’s saved by Nathan. Nathan has never given up on Audrey and knows they are meant to be. Audrey is an independent woman and knows the chemistry between her and Nathan is explosive. Nathan has always cared for Audrey and after her being almost robbed he’s overly protective of her but will the past stand in their way? I great short read with likeable characters that have a sizzling chemistry. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Nathan is playing the long game..biding his time until he can win Audrey back. He gets his chance when Audrey is a victim of a crime. Nathan is her knight and saves the day. She starts to bend little by little and she can't deny their chemistry. Low angst and high heat with a sweet romance between the couple. Nice HEA with a HOT epilogue.

Audrey and Nathan's story is brutal. A year ago, their feelings and passion was starting to bloom, until Nathan had to arrest Audrey's brother. From then on, Audrey wanted nothing to do with Nathan, even if her feeling for him did not go away. Now that time has past, and Audrey has had time to come to an understanding, maybe, Nathan is going to get what he wants.
This story have a fire to it, Audrey is strong willed and does not have a problem putting Nathan in his place. This is a great story and I can't wait for the rest of the series.

After a yr of staying out of her way he was going to get her trust back. One night she forgotten to lick the door to the bakery, she was getting robbed, luckily he was there to help save her. Things changed again for them and he told her how he felt about her. She needed to talk to her brother and apologize to him about hurting him. All is well.

I love all the books by Kali.
They are the ideal getaway from everyday life.
I think this one’s my favorite so far!
I love some good steamy scenes, a hero worth saving scene and some drama.
Nathan fulfills the role of hero very well and Audrey is a fierce but sweet girl.
Can’t wait for the other stories.
Read this one and you wont regret it, trust me!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Kali Hart always brings a great story to light. The characters Nathan and Audrey were strong and brought enough heat to the pages to keep you warm on a cold afternoon. There is the usual hitch in the love story and of course the HEA. You won’t be disappointed. I just fell in love with these guys.

Nathan arrested Audrey's brother and put him in jail. Since then, Audrey has had no use for him...except for one hell of a hot attraction. When Audrey needs help, Nathan is there to stand by her.
I loved this story a lot. Men in uniform are hot in general, but I thought Nathan's protective nature was mega cute. I really like Kali Hart's stories, she has a knack for finding hot guys and everyday circumstances that turn into something beautiful.

Aubrey owns the local bakery and Nathan is the local sheriff and they have started a sweet romance and all is going great until he has to arrest her brother for robbery. One year later she still ignores him but he is not giving up on her so then her shop is robbed and he comes to the rescue (turns out to be one of her competitors). She then realizes that she actually loves him and even her brother in jail tells her to go for it. Loved the story and great characters.

Intriguing storyline of Audrey holding a grudge over Nathan for a whole year for doing his job. Well developed characters with a great backstory that offers many opportunities for them to get together. I enjoyed Nathan’s patience and understanding, but could still see him hurting for being rejected time and again. Good ending for them to get everything sorted out, that left all people involved satisfied.

An entertaining enemies-to-lovers book one in the Heroes of Daisy Hill series! It is well written, engaging, steamy, funny, and well developed with drama and some danger. The characters are likeable; the chemistry between them is undeniable and off the charts. Definitely recommended!

Loved!
Audrey is still angry with Nathan for arresting her brother a year ago. Nathan refuses to give up on her. When someone tries to rob her he swoops in and saved the day and things happen. I could understand how Audrey was angry at Nathan, but she was overreacting a bit. Good ending.

Oh I love a good police officer in a romance story and I love it even more when he saves the leading lady in the story.
When they rekindle their love for each other nothing keeps them separate.

Another cute, insta-love story from Kali Hart. This couple caught my attention in the Daisy Hills B&B series and I am so glad to have their story. Loved how their relationship was written with plenty of steam, some drama, and a wonderful ending. Looking for to Knox's book now.

A great book
Who doesn't love the idea of falling in love with a police officer. Audrey and Nathan had a rough time getting together due arresting her brother for robbery. She held it against him because he didn't arrest the other guys. You'll have to read the book to see how it goes into detail. It's a very good story. :)

Small Town Heroes for The Win
I read this series totally out of order but I still loved every moment of it. The angst between Nathan and Audrey had so many layers. The whole backstory of them flirting and then her brother getting arrested by Nathan. It made for a good love story.
