If the power grid collapses, will you be prepared?

With nothing but time on her hands until she testifies against her employer, Gloria spends her days watching the news and trying not to worry. When reports surface of an imminent geomagnetic storm, she can't ignore it.

When the odds are stacked against you, will you adapt in time?

Raymond trusts his wife’s instincts. When she voices her concern about a potential EMP, he knows just whom to ask. Rather than put his fears to rest, his contact only amplifies them.

As society crumbles, everyone is put to the test.

It’s a race against time for both Gloria and Raymond. Will they secure everything they need to bug out before
the rest of the city panics? Or will TEOTWATKI wreck their plans?

The EMP is only the beginning.

Not Minor Details

The author claims there are "a few minor details" that have been taken advantage of. Minor details like cars that still work, water will still be pumped to your house, a Camry pickup (?), etc. The mistakes and misinformation is almost criminal.

The only reason the book escapes a one is that the basic story and writing are good. The author needs to find an editor/Beta reader who knows that it's artillery which has units called "battery's" and infantry have units called "company's".

So I didn't notice that this was a prequel and not book 2 for "No Ordinary Day." I was disappointed by the very short length and felt it should have been part of the first book in the series. Just not seeing why this had to be separate. I like the series and will continue at whatever point there is a true book 2, but this very small tome was unsatisfying.

Always use a leash!

Great start to a new series. Looking forward to book 1. This Prequel introduced some of the characters for the upcoming new series. Love the dog! Get the books and leave your review.

Interesting take on EMP

Well written and quickly brings reader into the situation. Looking forward to the rest of the series. Shows that good story lines and characterizations trump sex and violence.

Survival begins

It was interesting to see how this series began, even if I read this book last. Seeing the apocalypse begin and following Gloria and Raymond as they rush to be safe was almost an eye opener. A great read!

Should be listed as book 1

Interesting catch-up story. Good as background filler. This is an interesting story line and not quite so violent as some of the others.

EOTWAWKI. Borrowed this eBook with Kindle Unlimited on March 29, 2024. Good intro to series. Husband and wife deal with CME and EMP disaster. More works then is expected with large CME.

Readable but irritating

The story is good if lacking imagination. The characters are fairly well developed but while they start smart, they do really stupid things and I lose respect and struggle to continue. Tiny dogs are unlikely to run off and only ignorant people would leave their supplies unattended. The story lacks depth as very little happens and then it’s over. More a novella.

Nice start to a series. Not a lot happened in this one, I think it was mostly character introduction and an explanation for what happens in the first book. I will be reading that soon.
