This book will help you understand yourself and the type of attachment you need when in a relationship. I liked that the author explains the different types (secure, anxious, avoidant, etc) in simple terms that the reader can easily follow. I thought the author's discussion was also.thorough and well written. The author then moves into looking at communication within a relationship. As the author notes, good communucation skills help us navigate problems that arise and resolve them in a way that helps the relationship ecolve and move forward. Overall, I am very happy with this book.
An eye opener for me when I read this was how human attachments are linked between caregivers and infants. How these attachments develop from that age impacts how a person interprets their relationships with others. An interesting read for healthy development of relationships.
This book is full of awesome information about attachment. It includes so much guidance like how to form bonds and helping you to decipher if you are too attached or too detached.
While this book has a lot of good information, it wasn’t well edited. The amount of times I felt like I was reading my 3rd grad classes work while reading this book was insane.
