Free at last ,free of all good and evil
free at last, of her own self
riding herself off, all that bound her
to a land which forces the sea into tears”
Priyasha Sharma .

In woman you find -mom ,wife ,daughter, an entrepreneur ,professional, a loving soul and many more shades they can still be.

This anthology displays some promising and heartening stories of women that will take you to a myriad of emotions. It features both poems and short stories written by writers all over the world.

A woman cannot be labeled as one.She is more. She is divine .She can be proud, purposeful and fulfilling. The protagonists cross national boundaries ,traditions ,traveling through perspectives to weave multitude of stories .Some of them are oppressed ,someone ambitious ,they break glass ceilings whilst some are ripped souls and caged ones trying to portray how it feels to navigate life in this society.

I remember one such similar anthology from Inkfeathers and this is not any different. My best wishes to the writers have contributed their works towards the anthology.

As the name says, this anthology has captured the various shades of a women, be it the issues, emotions, challenges or success stories that they have. As multiple authors pen down what is on their mind, we can see a few works that are very distinct from the rest and deserves attention of a wider audience, for they are examples of what women could achieve, the capabilities and the strength they possess and an eye opener or a gentle reminder to the kind of injustice women go through and how they deal with it.

Most of the Poems are simple yet potential enough to make you think of it. Most of the short stories have a very unconventional narrative and authors have provided us with many different types of anecdotes mostly from their lives, adding more power to the stories being told.

We are all exposed to a lot of content related to Women on social media, yet I feel we should read this one for it has a distinct feel to it.

*4.5

This anthology was so good. It touches on so many topics, truly showing all the different shades of a woman/womanhood. There are happy pieces and angry pieces and sad pieces. I rated each entry and then took the average and it turned out to be 4.01 which is pretty good for an anthology. Of course as in any anthology, there were pieces I disliked and pieces I really liked. But overall, I think there were far more of the latter. The organization is also good, and the chapter titles are clever. Would highly recommend it!
