Here's a delightful book for fans of 007. James Nolan & Simon Ward have put together a great collection of quotes from all the official James Bond films from Dr No to No Time To Die. Some of the lines (not only from Bond, but also other characters in the films) have been quoted endlessly before, but there are plenty more that take the reader by surprise. Illustrated throughout with a fine collection of photographs from the films.

This book might be best for James Bond fans who have seen every movie but I found the quotes to be mostly unenlightening, especially without knowing the context for why they were said in the films they are quoted from. The book's title is misleading in my opinion. There were very few wisdom quotes, the wit quotes may come across better in the films than in written form. Most of the quotes seem neither wisdom or wit, just random.

Exactly as it says, the Wit and Wisdom from the Bond franchise.
Put together nicely in a 128page long book, this is a must for any die hard fan.
Had me laughing at some of the quotes, whilst also bringing me back in touch with some of the films I haven’t watched for a long time.

007 perfect. Five out of five.

The Wit and Wisdom of James Bond had some amusing quotes that serve as a refreshing reminder to those who watched the films before. Yet, reading them outside the context of film, the humor & wit could be lost. Most of the entertainment of the delivery of these quotes were in the context of the films they were in.

Still, this little book did what the title says. I did feel that too much focus was spent on the more recent Daniel Craig films.

But I digress.

3/5. Exactly what it says. No more, no less. Some quotes without the context may not make sense to a casual Bond fan. Could have been done a bit better IMO.

Great little book with exactly what it says in the title.

Covers 'Wit and Wisdom' up to No Time to Die. There are a few more quotes I would add from the movies, but I guess there always will be personal favourites that are missed.

Easy to get through. One to re-read regularly I think.
