Tangled Web is book 6 in the Cortell Brothers series, and it is recommended they are read in order.
Andrew I left behind my hacker ways and decided to become a P.I. Of course, I was more of a cybercrime P.I. than an actual investigator. But when her file fell in my lap, I knew I couldn't walk away. Not yet. She had the body of a vixen and the eyes of a killer. I was terrified. And yet strangely attracted to the woman. Was it sane? Not at all. Every time I saw her, I was sure I would end up dead. But there were worse ways to go...
Lorelei I was finally free. Well, almost. My husband had left me with a bit of a mess. And his kids...don't even get me started on them. All I wanted was my money, but that wasn't going to happen until I could get my hands on my dearly departed husband's trust. In the meantime, I needed someplace new to live. So, I pointed my finger at the map and ended up in the cutest little town. I just needed to make some friends, to blend in. I could do that, and I knew just where to start...

“I should have asked you for help picking out my colors,” a female voice said from behind me. I spun around, only to come face to face with the one and only femme fatale, Lorelei. I felt like I had swallowed my tongue. She was even more gorgeous in person. Her long, dark hair hung down her back and over her shoulders in silky waves. And those big, brown, gorgeous eyes stared at me like they held all the secrets of the world. I was mesmerized. She had this adorable nose that was so cute and small, but it was her lips that really drew me in. Soft, plump…desirable. Holy fuck, she was my wet dream, standing right here in the flesh. I was sunk. “Uh…” Finally getting my brain to kick in, I shoved my hand forward and introduced myself. “Andrew.” Then I internally smacked myself. I was investigating her. I couldn’t introduce myself to her. Then she would know who I was. Except, she wouldn’t know who I was because she didn’t know who I was. I was just a guy in the hardware store. Unless she really was a black widow, and she was scoping out her next target. What if I was her next target? Oh shit, I started to sweat, the beads forming on my forehead and under my pits. It was an unnerving thing to not know if you were the next target or just a rando that she met in the store. “Is that your wife?” I glanced back at Sofia and briefly thought of saying yes just to throw her off my scent, but then what if that put Sofia in danger? What if she wanted to do away with her to get me to herself? Fuck. “No, that’s my brother’s woman. I’m just helping pick out paint for our apartment.” “Your apartment? You all live together?” “Well, it saves money. I could move out, but I want to help them out while they get ready for the baby to come.” I closed my eyes, irritated that I had just let it slip that I had money. Stupid, stupid, stupid! “That’s so sweet. You’re a very nice brother.” “Yeah, one of seven.” “Seven? Wow, your parents must have been either very excited to have kids or—“ “Don’t say it,” I cringed. I had already heard it before, how they were so horny. I didn’t need to hear it again. “I’m—“ “Lorelei,” I said, before I could think better of it. Her eyes went wide and wary and she pulled her hand back. “How did you know my name?” Shit, how did I know her name? Goddamnit, I sucked at this in person investigation stuff. That’s why I stuck to computers. I was good with the virtual world, but I sucked at the in-person investigations. I should have had one of my brothers here. They would know what to do. “Eric!” I shouted too loudly. “Uh…my brother, Eric, mentioned having a house to renovate for a woman that moved into town. Lorelei,” I chuckled nervously. “And new people in town are few and far between. Wild guess,” I laughed again. She looked like she wasn’t going to buy it, and my mind started spinning on all the different ways I could get Sofia and I out of the store safely. Did she have a gun on her? Maybe poison? No, that was ridiculous. She would have to offer me a drink first, and then mix in the poison. Plus, she didn’t actually have a drink on her, which meant she would have to buy one. Then she would have to find a way to mix the poison in without me seeing, which could be complicated. Or was it? If she was a black widow, maybe this was second nature to her. “—doing a great job on the design.” I shook my head, confused since I missed everything she had just said. “Sorry, what was that?” “I was saying that I’m glad I found your brother. He’s already doing a great job on the design. My house is in tatters, so there’s a ton of work to do.” I nodded, way too much for it to be normal. I had to stop myself from nodding. Just stop doing it. Fucking stop! I finally got my head to sit still on my shoulders. She was staring at me now like I was a fucking psycho, and maybe I was. I was standing here looking like a lunatic in front of a gorgeous, yet very deadly woman. Well, that was still up for debate. Shit. “So, are you doing all the work yourself?” I asked with a croak. “No,” she laughed. “Remember? I said I hired your brother?” I smacked myself in the head with a doh. “Right. Gotcha. I bet it’s a great house.” “It is. I mean, it doesn’t look like much right now, but it’s going to look great when it’s done.” “I’m sure it will. I’d love to see the before and after.” “Really?” Her eyes lit up and I realized that I had just fallen into her trap. Her web. Oh, God, she really was a black widow, and I had just invited myself along to be killed. “You should come out some time and take a look at it. I would love some input from another male perspective. Your brother is all about making it my own, but I wouldn’t mind a second opinion on some things.” “You know, I’m not really a design expert or anything.”
The last brother to fall down the rabbit hole and find love.
If I thought this family was insane before this book tops it off. The title makes perfect sense because per usual for Cortell Brother, the last man standing found a woman who had a strange past and instead of talking with her, Andrew has other plans that almost keeps them apart forever.
After everything that has happened to this family I can say I'm glad that we've reached the end of the journey and all the men have found the women to share their life with because I don't think world would take another entanglement from this family.

Andrew Cortell, the last of the Cortell brothers to find his other half is finally dragged off the market. His comical love story was the last of the Cortell brothers’ books, but not the last of the characters in the series. Thank you for that!
Lorelei Henning is a woman looking for a new lease on life away from all of the drama and pain of her past. She needs to make new friends and get the people of the small town she moved to on her side and what better person to start with than the sexy guy giving advice about paint colors to a woman in the hardware store?
I have loved the Cortell brothers and their family since the first book with Eric and Kat’s story. These boys sure know how to drive their mother crazy and entertain their entire town along the way. Andrew’s love story is full of crazy circumstances, funny situations that include the entire family, tragedy and misunderstandings. I love the characters in the stories and the situations these guys seem to find themselves in on so many occasions, but most of all, I love the loyalty, kindness, loving family that the Cortell’s are and the women that complete each of these men. Jack got a little out of hand, but that’s to be expected, and I really hope his book is coming soon. I really want to get inside his head and hope that he finds his way back to the man he was. I love reading these books because they always bring out so many emotions, mostly humor, but there are also some tears. I loved the ending of the book and I think it was probably one of the best endings I’ve read in a long time. I give this book a 5-star review and will be watching for more books by Ms. Lagomarsino. I’ve loved every book I’ve read by her.
Tangled Web might be my favorite book in the Cortell Brothers series. The first chapter intrigued me and I spent the rest of the book trying to figure out how things were going to pan out for Andrew and Lorelei. This author always manages to write male characters that are hilarious and quirky all that the same. I think this was the last book in this series and we definitely ended on a good note.
I'm just going to put this out there. When I first started reading this book, it began with Lorelei telling her the beginning bit of the story. I'm telling you this because as I started reading, the first thing that popped into my head was "This is our heroine?", I kid you not. Then, of course, it becomes Andrew's turn of events, and if you've been following the Cortell brothers then you know there is an almost slapstick comedy of events. I already love the series and 'Tangled Web' is just that, a tangled web. All the brothers are brought into this one and Reed Security has a surprise. Read the blurb and, if you're like me, you'll shake your head and decide right then and there you want to read this book. Just remember, Giulia has written them to be read in order so if this is your first book of the series, do yourself a huge favor and start at the beginning. You'll be so glad you did.
WOW.......What a brilliant final book to end another fantastic series......and possibly the start of another series. Loved the dynamic between Lorelei and Andrew, I laughed out loud all the way through.....and the end, very seven brides for seven brothers, I Loved it 😍 keep up the great work Ms Lagomarsino - even if a bear does eat your hands.

Tangled Web is book six of the Cortell Brothers Series. The focus is on Andrew Cortell and Lorelei. This book could be read as a standalone but I recommend starting at the beginning of the series to have a better understanding of the other characters and what is going on at this point in time with their family and small town.
Andrew is a mixture of arrogant and immature. He is caring, intelligent, but he can also be a total jerk. But I must say he has grown and come along way since the beginning of the series. He's a lot more responsible and level headed then people realize. He's also fiercely protective of his family and that includes their significant others. It was pretty comical watching him get twisted up over Lorelei.
Lorelei is mysterious, gorgeous, full of secrets, and harbors a lot of pain. She's mastered keeping a stone cold poker face and turning off her emotions. Trust is something that doesn't come easy for her. We learn that Lorelei is not what she seems. She's multi-talented and is a ton fun to hang out with. She goes with the flow and is easy to hang out with if you're not prying into her personal life. She's been tainted by a series of unfortunate events, but now it's time to break the cycle; whether she's ready or not.
I found this book to be the most humerous in the series. It had classic Cortell brothers banter, family drama, and a good dose of Karma for Andrew. The women were hilarious in this book as well. The story was unpredictable, well thought out and wrapped up the series in true Cortell fashion without any loose ends. I appreciated that their drama wasn't dragged out and the story kept moving along. I'm sad to see this series come to an end but knowing we'll see the Cortell crew in the upcoming spin-off series helps. I'm looking forward to more shenninigans in their small town and what's to come for Jack!
I really am pretty sad the last Cortell brother is married. Couldn't Ma Cortell have had a couple more sons? This final book in the Cortell Brothers series was both hilarious suspenseful (don't ask me how Giulia Lagomarsino combines the two so well, but she does) and gave a mega HEA I did not see coming.
I'm glad that Andrew and Joe retained some of the goofball ways they humored us with the earlier books. Phrases like "spill the tea" and "quiche girl" were just part of their characters. Even though both "grew up," as the series progressed, their positions as youngest and goofiest of the Cortell brothers remained. Andrew, although quite brilliant, still managed to have me laughing as he ran the gamut of emotions and protectiveness over all the females in his life. But he still came out a hero.
Lorelei is a mystery. Giulia does a fantastic job of keeping the reader in the dark regarding what Lorelei is up to so that when the big reveal happens, it is a big PHEW on the reader's part. I loved Lorelei and Andrew together and how she just took his skittishness in stride. And honestly, it made for some of the best slapstick I've read in a while.
Giulia writes the most hilarious books about men being over the top and their antics as they try to out-man each other. The Cortell brothers and their tie-in to Reed Security have been a pleasure to read, and I hope there are more offshoots of both series soon!
This is the sixth and final book in the Cortell Brothers series and it gives readers the awaited story for Andrew Cortell and Lorelei, the woman who will make or break him. Andrew is a private investigator/hacker looking into the possibly suspicious demise of a man by his wife, Lorelei, at the bequest of his son. Lorelei is a woman, not without her secrets, who is looking to start over and get her life back when she runs into Andrew. From their first meeting, there is an attraction but it seems as if being around Lorelei is like an accident waiting to happen. This is one witty, entertaining read from beginning to end. It will suck you in and never let go. There are bits where you will be laughing your head off and others where you will feel as if you are on a roller coaster of a ride. Nevertheless, this is one journey that you need to go on and do it asap! It can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading the series in order as you may miss some of the dynamics at play. I highly recommend this book and the rest of the series.
Andrew is the funniest brother. He completely cracked me up. I found myself laughing so much during this story.
Lorelei, I really wasn't so sure of. I didn't understand her, much like Andrew didn't, but I saw a did of her that have me hope.
Andrew was destined to find his one, because all his brothers fell at the feet of a woman, but his protectivness over all the women really had me swooning. As crazy as it was, he truly had a big heart.
I love the Cortell brothers and seeing each one of them finding their HEA. Their stories are always interesting to read about. Although they can be read alone I would recommend reading all the series in order bc all the characters are in each other’s books. I can’t wait to see what Is next
Tangled Web had me hooked from page one, the combination of humour and intrigue made it hard to put this book down.
I’ve loved Andrew in this series so far and it was great to finally get his story. Lorelei’s life left me with burning questions from so early on I was desperate for answers. Together they made for a great couple and I liked the originality of how they came into each other’s lives, it’s certainly different from what we’ve seen in this series so far. They each have their own secret agendas when it comes to the beginning of their relationship and it’s resulting conflict with this overwhelming passionate attraction that they share throws them off guard and hooks the reader into wondering what could happen next.
The shenanigans these brothers have found themselves in so far in the serious have been hilarious and ‘Tangled Web’ is no different. When you find yourself laughing during the second chapter you know it can only get better. Giulia weaves some truly comedic scenes into her plot with how involved Andrew gets in his brothers’ lives and the completely over the top ridiculous need these brothers have to protect their women but she takes it one step further by throwing Lorelei into the middle of ones of these moments and it became one of my favourite scenes.
The sense of family is just as strong in this book as it has been throughout the series, I adore the way this family comes together when one of them is in need. However, the ending stole the show. Mrs Cortell swoops in and takes control of the situation, her grown children, and their partners. Add in the surprise visit from some of our favourite Reed Security members and the ending tied in perfectly with the absolute craziness that is the Cortell family.
I have really enjoyed this series; the cast of characters and their stories are not ones that I will forget easily.
Tangled Web is the 6th and final book in the author’s Cortell Brothers series where six of the seven Cortell brothers find love. The seventh Derek found love with Claire in an earlier series. I’ve enjoyed this series enough to binge read it at the cost of putting off some new releases by a few of my favorite authors. But I can’t say I loved it. The 5th book Priceless Ink was the only one I would have said was better than just good. Unfortunately I thought this book had a lot of potential with a really interesting story line, but too often came up short of that potential. In Tangled Web Andrew the last of the unattached Cortell brothers falls in love with Lorelei a recently widowed beauty whom he has been hired by her eldest stepson Bartholomew to investigate for the possible murder of Arlen his father and her late husband. Bartholomew hopes to throw enough shade on Lorelei to convince the cops to exhume his father’s body and do an autopsy hoping to prove he had been murdered. If he can prove it, he can get his hands on his father’s trust that left all of his vast fortune to Lorelei. The author gives us every reason to believe Lorelei did in fact murder her late husband and possibly a few other people before him. At 47 the extremely wealthy Arlen was twenty years older than Lorelei but still seemingly too young for a heart attack. They’ve only been married for a year but his will is drawn up leaving all the money in trust to Lorelei and none to his three adult children from a previous marriage. We learn early on that as a young teen Lorelei killed her terminally ill mother in a Kavorkian style mercy killing. She had motive, opportunity and certainly shows no remorse at Arlen’s passing. She has also left a trail of questionable deaths in her wake, including a former fiancée who died in a car crash under mysterious circumstances. I kept thinking despite all the evidence to make us believe she’s not only more than capable but did kill Arlen, the author isn’t going to give us a cold-blooded killer as a female protagonist to live happily ever after. I mean Carlotta now Carly the former Mafia princess and skilled assassin in the third book, Wanted Dead or In Love has no qualms about killing people but she only does it to protect herself and those she loves. After Bart hires him and gives him a file on Lorelei, Andrew first runs into Lorelei while shopping for paint with Sophie and is immediately terrified of her even though he has no reason to believe she knows who he is and they are in a very public place. This happens on and off throughout the book with Andrew and his brothers afraid to be alone with Lorelei. Which made no sense to me because Lorelei may have been a killer but she didn’t have the same kick ass abilities as Carla that would allow her to physically overpower or kill a grown man and she didn't kill random people. If she was killing people she was doing it with stealth, not in your face brute force. While stranded together during a snowstorm at the home Lorelei has purchased and is paying Eric to rehab, without heat or electricity Andrew comes to the conclusion that there is no way Lorelei can be a killer. Of course a night of insanely wild and dirty sex may have influenced his decision. That sex scene may have been the hottest in the series and that’s saying something considering other than Sophia none of these ladies are inexperienced or shy in the bedroom. Considering how carefully Lorelei had worked to cultivate a certain public image of herself first as a loving wife and then as a grieving widow, it made no sense that only a couple of weeks after burying her husband she got involved in an affair with another man. Andrew and anyone else wouldn’t have to be Columbo to conclude if she had really loved her husband she wouldn’t be taking another man to her bed before his body was barely cold. Unfortunately for both Andrew and Lorelei, later after overhearing a phone conversation between Lorelei and her friend and lawyer Callum, Andrew becomes convinced Lorelei actually is a serial killer. I honestly felt like from the time Lorelei is arrested for the murder of her late husband the story goes downhill. The humor in this story was hit or miss for me. The grocery store scene was admittedly hysterically funny worthy of something Pippa Grant or Lucy Score would write. But a lot of the rest of it just felt like the author was trying too hard and for me just wasn’t that funny. Like the guys being over-protective of the pregnant women. That might have been funny if it wasn’t motivated by Kat miscarrying Angel at 8 months. Jack harassing the brothers might have been funny if it hadn’t been motivated by his grief over the death of his wife. Like every other book in this series, especially being the end of this series the ending felt rushed and too abrupt like the author couldn’t wait to move on to her next book. Honestly I don’t think Logomarsino is a bad writer. She definitely shows she has talent but I often felt like something was lacking in her stories. Sections that didn’t feel fully fleshed out or just felt rushed. When the series starts Derek and Claire are not married. In this book they are. When did that happen? Things that just didn’t make sense even for a contemporary romance where common sense often has to be discarded in order to enjoy the story. Like Lorelei being a suspect in Jerry’s murder because they found a strand of hair in his car. She was the guy’s fiancée, why wouldn’t she have been in his car on many occasions? All of her characters (except Derek and Claire who always seemed to have a screw loose) seemed to switch between acting like reasonably intelligent people to acting like total morons. Especially the men. Take the Carly character. She started to turn Carly into the same type of violence loving psychotic character she made Derek and Claire. I mean that whole scene where Carly is trying to determine if Lorelei is a serial killer by asking her about whether she likes to play with guns, knives and bombs. Seriously? Given how Lorelei’s supposed victims were murdered how did that line of questioning even make sense? And the original Carly character would have known that. And she never would have complained about living the peaceful family life she’d always dreamed of having. After reading the six books in this series I’m not certain I’ll go back and read more by this author. If they hadn’t been available on Kindle Unlimited I doubt I would have read all six of these books. Lots of readers absolutely loved this series. I just wasn’t among them. But you might be.
Fun, sexy mexy, plenty of action and yes at times tears.
This is by far the best series and the offspring series I have read this year.
The complex threads that Giulia weaves her stories, and her characters keeps you coming back for more. You will be riveted to the pages and find that hours have passed by the time you manage to pull yourself away.
You will laugh your arse off when you are not sweating through the action.
In this last installment of the Cortell Brothers, Andrew finds himself hired to investigate a woman accused of murder. Giulia does it again with her outstanding writing full of laughs, heartbreak and love.
Andrew as we know was a hacker and now deals in cybersecurity as a cyber crime PI. He has been hired by a disgruntled son who believes his stepmother killed his father for his money. Andrew tries to tell him he is not a PI but more of a cyber PI. He takes the case and has a hard time finding evidence but what he does find leaves him feeling uneasy around her. He does end up helping her to get closer to her and find more information. What could possibly happen when a beautiful woman and a handsome man get together? Will the truth come out about all the deaths that are associated to her?
Lorelie just lost her husband to a heart attack but doesn't seem too upset about it. Her stepson believes she killed him. While the trust is being held up she decides to leave her home and she ends up in a small town. She buys a run downed house. She hires Joe. Andrew's brother to fix it up. Along the way she meets Andrew and she starts to like him. She invites him to help pick paint for her new house and things progress from there. Will she tell him about her past? Will her past catches up with her?
Giulia never disappoints with her writing. She has a way of keeping you interested with the banter, craziness of the Cortell brothers and love that they have for their partners. This story had me laughing at the means the brothers use to keep the pregnant ladies safe.
This whole series is a must read. Although they are standalone books, reading them in order helps with character development. Can't wait to start her next series.
I have to say that there isn't a book that goes by that I'm not HIGHLY impressed with Giulia Lagomarsino's talent for writing books that are so original in the hysterically funny moments without any of it being duplicated & I've been reading her books from the jump. It's finally time for Andrew to find his lobster, and I can barely write this review without dying laughing all over again since the heroine, Lorelei, starts off as shady, but the heart wants what the heart wants despite his being scared of her which had me spitting out my drink (I know it was an amateur move since I already know that no drinks should be consumed while reading this author). However, things change as time goes on until another twist comes out of left field to start the insanity all over again, and he's lucky that Lorelei is so forgiving since I would have totally hurt him but that's just me (yes I'm being super vague because I'm not about to ruin anything). The cast of supporting characters are of course top notch adding even more humor to the mix (the grocery store nearly did me in as it took me forever to stop laughing hysterically), with a couple of cameos that delighted me to no end. You don't want to miss out as everyone needs this author in their lives so get to one clicking! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
She was alone--sort of. Her husband was dead. His kids were grown except the one in college. Finally, she could be on her own with no one depending on her in a place of her choosing while waiting for her substantial settlement. Time to make a new life with new friends. Andrew.
He was changing his ways. Hacking had been more than lucrative except...well time to make some changes and becoming a PI seemed the way to go. When his customer wanted typical PI services and not just cyber-related he was reluctant to take the case. However, his brother was remodeling the house she just bought. If what his client said about her was true his brother could be in danger. Then there was how hot she is.
Another romp with the family and the town. Readers of any other books in the series will look forward to the love-advice and actions. One hint three of the sisters are pg. Over-protective you ask? Oh yeah. Also, you'll get to see an all-new slant on cart races.
Loving a dangerous woman is not a first with brothers. This is a new one. Enjoy watching the relationship ride on the biggest roller coaster ever. Plenty of steam, humor, and more, with an ending to satisfy all. (of course, it isn't going to be traditional)
The story has laughs, pain, secrets, and heartbreak.
If you have not read the below, I would recommend reading those books(s) first. Maintenance Required (The Cortell Brothers #1) Collateral Damage (The Cortell Brothers #2) Wanted Dead Or In Love (The Cortell Brothers #3) Textbook Approach (The Cortell Brothers #4) Priceless Ink (The Cortell Brothers #5)
This is Lorelei and Andrew’s story. Andrew was a hacker who turned PI. She came to town to blend in. Andrew gets her file and is smitten but can tell she is bad news. Only as usual with this family he just can’t stay away. He is drawn to her, but can he help her. She needs to find her dead husband’s trust so she can get her money. He has crazy and so are his kids. She is a total mess. Add in the craziness of the town and this story will have you laughing out loud. Add a little but of mystery and you are all set to keep turning the pages.
I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. But all and all it was a great story.
This is the 6th book in the Cortell brothers series. At first i could'nt get into this book i found it a little slow to start, but stick with it as it gets better. The story is about Andrew and Lorelei. Andrew is a PI and is hired by Bartholomew, which is Loralie's stepson. He is hired to investigate the alledged murder of his dad. Once Andrew reads the notes hes given, he assumes her to be a Black Widow, her past seems to be littered with dead people mostly males who all died young. Andrew meets her by accident and then goes to help her pick out colours for her new house. In true Cortell style he falls in love with her, not before a few things happen to him convincing him shes trying to kill him. Once he realises that they are accidents that can be explained, he starts to look deeper into things. Loralie is arrested, Andrew goes into a depression. The family rally round to get him out of his funk. The story ends with a wedding. Im not going to say whos.......
Wow! What a way to end the Cortell Brother’s series as Andrew finds his HEA. His story was not what I expected at all with Lorelei as the woman he would fall in love with. I wasn’t sure if I liked her at first but author Giulia Lagomarsino’s storytelling had me wanting to keep on reading and I ended up really enjoying this book. This story had the usual witty dialogue, bantering and funny moments that you come to expect from the Cortell brothers and their women. Andrew was his typical funny self as he tried to rationalize his feelings for Lorelei to the woman he thinks she is. I enjoyed Lorelei’s interactions with the other women especially the grocery store scene that was hilarious and had me laughing so hard. Andrew and Lorelei’s love story is definitely a tangled web that had to be explored and the truth had to be uncovered. The ending was absolutely perfect for all the Cortell brothers.
So sad to say this is the last book for the brothers. Andrew is the last brother to get himself a girl. He was a hacker Turned P.I. A guy comes town asking for his help to find information on a his step mom that supposedly killed his father. Lorelei is the step mom. Husband dies and she comes to town and buys a house that Eric is fixing up for her. Andrew meets her and falls flat on his rear. Lol then realizes this is the woman he’s looking into. He tries to get close to her and they wind up together and all hell breaks loose. This book was hilarious and crazy. The girlfriends are all a trip. ( I love them ) and guys , well if you read all the others then you know. The banter between them is real people lol. Thank-You so so much Guilia for letting me on this crazy train ride with all the characters. I loved them all And I’m going to miss them too. READ THIS SERIES LADIES…..
This is the sixth book in the Cortell Brothers series-it can be read as a standalone but you'll miss many of the jokes and backgrounds of the other couples. Andrew Cortell finally gets his story! We meet Lorelei, a woman with a mysterious past. Andrew has a job to do with her, which is tough when you're scared she's going to kill you! The situation with Lorelei has me going through all the possibilities-just like the brothers did-and I was desperate to find out what was going on. Lots of humour in this story, of two people who are very attracted to each other, despite not knowing enough about each other to commit in a meaningful way. I loved the plot, which kept me wondering until the end. A light-hearted suspenseful love story with a dash of murder!
I received a copy of this book. My honest opinion is voluntarily provided.
So as we know, all good things must come to an end, and it is with sadness that we say goodbye to the Cortell Brothers in Tangled Web, well for now at least.
This is the story of the final brother Andrew and Lorelei and comes with all the usual twists and turns of any of Giulia’s books. We see plenty of laughter and antics from all the brothers. A few murder investigations, some near misses, and help from two surprising sources.
I must admit it took me a while to get into this book but in the end, I couldn’t put it down. It wasn’t how I expected the series to end but wait until you see what Ma Cortell had planned, a blast from Reed Security past, and the usual official of proceedings. Thank you, Giulia for a great series, and I can see a few more coming from this.
I received an ARC copy of Tangled Web and am leaving this review voluntarily.
Ok I'm going to have to say that this is probably my favorite of the Cortell brothers I just love Andrew when he and his brothers are around each other its like their talking a whole other language and Eric thinks it was just Joe and Andrew and their millennial talk ha. This book had me wanting to read it after I read the blurb little did I know what I was getting into . A black widow/serial killer with a bag of peas and death flowers (lily's) and don't forget your medication oh lord this had me rolling. Lorelei is the new person in town and a mystery and this lil town loves their Cortell brother's and the crazy chaos that follows them. That ending was epic I couldn't stop laughing as this is the last brother it's the final story in the series and boy am I going to miss them. This is definitely one to not miss.
Every time I think that the previous book can't be surpassed, I get proven wrong.
This book was just a full on roller-coaster.
Andrew is the last Cortell standing. He is a hacker who is trying to go straight and also trying to tone down the Millenial speak while he's at it.
Lorelei is a recent widow who is trying to put the death of her husband behind her, while also hoping to get her trust released. But don't be fooled by her because according to Andrew, Lorelei is a "black widow".
Hilarity ensues while Andrew tries to get to the bottom of who Lorelei is, while trying to dodge our good sheriffs and also the town facebook page.
Add in the whole Cortell clan and a murder mystery, and you have a recipe for an epic time.
They got married and that too all of them together(I am practically jumping)........Weren't we all wondering when will these guys get married I mean it's been two years since Kat came and we met all the brothers and they just wouldn't. Eric with two failed ones and Robert with a fake one. and guess what they had five kids on their way..five.. yes. if you would ask me to decide which one is my favorite in this series, I would rather die than choose one. they are all so great. I especially love the banter and the fuss they create over a small thing and stick to that. And my God this is what we got in the last one too. I am really really content with the end although I really felt bad for Jack at some points and how Josh thought he was somehow responsible. And how in this book Jack was trying to find reasons to arrest Cortell brothers and that one time when the girls tried to escape the guys. jUST TOO DAMN GOOD....

*****5 Tangled Stars ***** Where do I even being with these Cortell brothers. This series is completely amazing each brother are so so different but the love you read between them is incredible. Andrew and Lorelei story is just as crazy as the rest of the brother’s. Lorelei is trying to put the death of her husband behind her, while also hoping to get her trust released there’s a plan that she must complete. Andrew is a hacker or PI depending who giving you the information. Andrew is hired to do a job figure out the Black widow getting away with murder. Expect to read in true Cortell fashion how their love story comes about. And the ending we all have been waiting for!!!
This is the 6th and final book about the Cortell brothers’ and is the youngest Andrew’s turn to find the woman who is his perfect match. Andrew has put his hacking ways behind him and is now a private investigator, and Lorelei is a mystery who has just moved to this small town to have a fresh start and make new friends. Bring into the mix all the crazy shenanigans and overprotective brothers, as well as the Reed security guys and this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed. This is a well written story which is humorous, entertaining, and with witty banter, emotions, family, suspense, drama, misunderstandings, and love, which all leads to a steamy and all-consuming tale. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Oh how I loved how Andrew couldn't help himself around Lorelei he was worried he was going to die but she was too irresistible for him which led to plenty of laughs as he warred with himself in his head. I will be honest at first I was very wary and didn't like Lorelei and what she might do to Andrew but the more you go to know her the more you knew there was far more to her apart from being a suspected black widow. The crash course she gets about the Cortell family at the supermarket had me in fits of laughter as anyone would get whiplash with how everything happened but it was the perfect way to meet the ladies. This had loads of laughs, a lot of distrust, a bit of heartbreak when the past comes to light and good lot of love that keeps you turning the page.
Past books they called Andrew a genius. A man tells him about 3 deaths and when Andrew "investigates" he decides that the heroine is a murderer because 3 people she knew died and that can't be a coincidence. Wtf????? I knew 3 people that died in one month let alone how many in my lifetime. Am I a murderer because of the amount of people I knew that died of overdoses? I mean, I knew them really well, like all my life some of them. I must have killed them. But then wait, my other friends must be in on it as well since they knew them too. Andrew is in no way a good PI if his overactive imagination can rule his thoughts lol it won't matter how good this book is or how much the brothers make me laugh, I doubt I'll give more than 2 or 3 stars based on a really DUMB "PI"
