Solve Lind dopiero gdy był już niemal dorosły zorientował się, że jest jednym z dotkniętych Ludzi lodu. Dzięki swym zdolnościom dostawał wszystko czego naprawdę pragnął choć jego życzenia były egoistyczne. Nie wahał sie przed przestępstwem. Cynicznie wykorzystywał swą tajemna moc by zdobyć bogactwo i piękne kochanki aż do czasu gdy dowiedział się że urodzi mu sie syn.

Dragens tænder is a strange sort of story.
It is the story of Sölve yes, but in reading it multiple times, I think I've come to see it more as a way of introducing the main character of the next four or five books, that it, Sölve's son Heike.
But first, Sölve. He's different to like, partially because he is (or at least described as) perfectly evil and cruel. He truly is one of the cursed members of the clan - as he slowly discovers, he doesn't look like it you see, at least not the first many years of his life.
But probably mostly because he is inherently told about, and most of his life is summed up in short paragraphs. When his story finally begins to get shown a little more and his character gets more fleshed out, it is also when we start to get closer and closer to the end of .. his story.
The reason this doesn't pull away from the reading experience, in my book, is that for me it works. It works because he doesn't really realise that he is cursed until he is nearing his 20s and to be honest, it would be boring to hear of his childhood then.
And what is shown, throughout the book, is his burning wish to be evil. As it states: "he could have said he was chosen, but Sölve knew instinctively that wasn't the case" and so, he sets about to try and track down the resting place of Tengel the Evil.
At the end, I do feel pity for him though. Just a little.
As for Heike, he is, without a doubt, one of my favourite members of the clan. And I love the fact that he is a vital part of so many books to come. I think it is impossible not to care for him, what with the start he gets in life. Though, I think that is a smart move on Sandemo's part, because I get that he, like the clan's great Tengel the Good, will meet a lot of obstacles and fear and hatred due to his monsterous looks and this time, we very much get to see it first hand. That it is from the hands of his father makes it so much worse. But I also think that he is a quite lovable 5-year-old in his own right.
As I always do, I look forward to reading the next book and continuing Heike's story.

Wiem, że mamy tu poważny i smutek wątek straszliwego znęcania się nad dzieckiem, ale szczerze mówiąc, historia Solve, który jest święcie przekonany o swoim geniuszu, ale nieodmiennie wybiera najbardziej nierozsądną z opcji, mocno mnie bawiła. Nie wiem nawet, co komiczniejsze - jak postanowił uwieść bogatą dziedziczkę, ale zgapił, że dziewczyna niczego nie odziedziczy, bo ma 14 (słownie czternaścioro) starszego rodzeństwa, czy jak męczył się prawie pięć lat z niechcianym przeklętym dzieckiem, którego nie miał jak porzucić, a kiedy mu uciekło, to zamiast docenić ten fakt i pobiec w przeciwnym kierunku, spędził parę dni szukając go bezskutecznie po lasach, aż znalazł własną śmierć.

Vet inte vad jag ska sätta för betyg. Kanske lite lågt som det är nu, men jag störde mig så mycket på Sölve som drog ner allt likt ett blysänke på en fiskelina. Missförstå mig inte, Margit är oerhört bra på att skriva karaktärer som man både gillar och ogillar. Men här gnagde det in i min läsupplevelse på ett sätt som jag inte riktigt uppskattar. Annars så är det mesta sig likt tycker jag. Välskriven handling och karaktärer, vad man än må tycka om dom, och jag uppskattade även handlingens mörker, något det var ett par böcker sedan man senast fick uppleva. Som vanligt så är det till trots tillräckligt för att jag ska vilja fortsätta och det är väl häri som Margits begåvning som författare ligger, att man liksom vill läsa en till bok trots att den man läste innan kanske inte tillhör en av favoritböckerna i serien. Samtidigt ska jag inte sticka under stolen att jag för varje bok jag läser i serien, alltsom oftast tänker tillbaka på seriens första böcker och hur bra dom var, och kanske även längtar att vi i någon av dom återstående böckerna ska hitta tillbaka till det som gjorde dom så bra.

To chyba jedna ze słabszych książek z serii straszny misz masz zaczynający się od powolnego zepsucia Solvego, którego całe życie poznajemy w tej książce oraz jego wędrówki jako już obciążonego członka rodu ludzi lodu. Ogólnie jest to książka dość smutna szczególnie biorąc pod uwagę to jak zostało potraktowane dziecko, które pojawiło się gdzieś w połowie książki. Ale tak jeszcze daleko na południe jeszcze nie dotarliśmy bo byliśmy w Wiedniu a następnie na terenach Słowenii.

19 tom sagi to historia Solve Linda, chłopaka, który został dotknięty złym dziedzictwem, ale nikt z rodziny nie wiedział, że coś takiego tkwi w jego duszy. Ziarno wykiełkowało dopiero w dwunastym roku życia. Objawiało się ono w tym, że jeśli chłopak czegoś bardzo mocno pragnął to przychodziło to do niego z olbrzymią łatwością. Niezależnie czy chodziło o przedmioty czy ludzi. Oczywiście zaczął to wykorzystywać w tych złych zamiarach.
Nie chcę zapeszyć, ale chyba po mocnej tendencji spadkowej zaczyna się etap wzrostów. Ten tom, tak jak poprzedni, trafił gdzieś do mnie i przypadł mi do gustu. Pierwszy raz autorka pokusiła się bardzo mocno pochylić się nad dotkniętym członkiem rodziny i przedstawić jego losy w zasadzie od początku do końca. Postać Solve nie jest do polubienia. Nie będziemy mu kibicować, ale zarazem byłam bardzo ciekawa wydarzeń w których uczestniczy oraz konsekwencji jego zachowań. Nawet jeśli zakończenie jest oczywiste to gdzieś cała ta otoczka sprawiła, że był to poczytny tom.

Usch Sölve är en sån hemsk karaktär. Berättelsen är dock spännande och man vill veta vad som ska ske näst. Det Sölve ger berättelsen på ett större perspektiv är att man får veta mer om hur det kan bli och hur någon som är drabbad (ond) tänker. Vi har inte fått höra så mycket från det perspektivet innan.
Men tyckte det var så hemskt att följa alla elakheter som Sölve utsatte Heike för. Jag hoppas verkligen att han får det bättre efter. Ser fram emot att läsa vidare och veta hur det går för honom.

To chyba będzie jeden z moich najmniej ulubionych tomów Sagi o Ludziach Lodu. Solve był odpychającym bohaterem, nie czytało się o nim przyjemnie i nie kibicowało mu. Niewielu było dotychczas takich bohaterów u Sandemo, a patrząc na Solvego i jego wyczyny - może to i dobrze, choć wiadomo, nie wszyscy mogą być Tengelem Dobrym.
Jednak ten tom wprowadza Heikego, który w kolejnym (już przeczytanym) przeze mnie tomie będzie grał pierwsze skrzypce, więc "Zębów smoka" nie mogę spisać całkowicie na straty.

That was quite a ride. Not sure if this book is 5 stars worthy but it was enjoyable. Nothing to complain about. Finally we have a long awaited evil character. He does a good job at his role. However he's not without a flow, in my opinion it makes him a great character. Definitely one of my fav characters in the series.

Kul med nya miljöer! Gillade bäst början i Sverige och Wien. Ännu en bok som känns ”typisk” för serien och helt ok. Men gillar bättre när man går följa de goda och inte den drabbade!
Sölve är ju en jobbig typ och bara hans namn känns usch nu. Fortfarande svårt att hänga med på vem som är vem i släkten också. Inte heller Heike känns så rolig, hoppas det ändras :)

Lite mörkare än vad böckerna varit på sistone, men Sölve (och i förlängningen Heike) är ack så trista karaktärer. Ingenting händer egentligen i boken, man får följa Sölves entusiastiska fall som människa och framför allt hur han tycker synd om sig själv när han egentligen bara har sig själv att skylla.

Sølve is one of the most evil characters so far. The way he treats his unwanted son, Heike, is just beyond cruel and makes your skin crawl. Its really cool how these series take you all over Europe now. Siberia and now Slovenia. I haven't lost any interest and will keep reading until I have finished all 47 books.

najgorsza postać tej sagi. Nigdy nie przeszedł na stronę dobra. Niby swym wyglądem nie przejawiał cech złych ale był zły.

The story of Heike begins here, a LEGEND among the Isfolk. Heike had a rough start but survived. He meets Vandreren a mysterious man in robes and makes his way to Italy and onto Norway. Heike in one of the characters you will look up to with honor. Great man and great story. I feel that he is one of the rammed (cursed) characters you get to really know in child. A story of Child abuse, mysterious men and one guys quest for a colder place to live. Epic book!

A strong and sad book! This made me want to take care of all the abused and homeless children in the world! How anybody can treat a child like Heike is treated in this book, is beyond me.
