"It's wrong to claim Victor, but it feels so right." When my best friend on the force Federico was killed in the line of duty, I swore to him as he died in my arms, I would take care of his baby brother, Victor. I never went back on my word. When Victor moved back to our hometown after college, he needed a place to stay. The kid was going to live next door to a crack house in a bad part of town, but I knew his older brother would haunt me if I allowed that to happen, so I demanded he move into my spare bedroom. When he showed up on my doorstep, his transformation from an awkward teenager to a striking young man floored me. Victor was everything I had ever wanted—smart, smoking hot, and innocent—but there was no way he could handle a rough around the edges cop like me. I kept my paws to myself, until one day Victor told me he had never been with another man before. He wanted advice on how to get a boyfriend, and how to keep him. That broke me. I'd show Victor how to please a man, all right. Me. Making it Fit is the first book in The Making It Series, and it is trope heaven. Roommates, fake boyfriend, opposites attract, first time experience, cops, older/younger, and my favorite, love at first sight. This scorching novella will make your ereader sizzle, and your heart melt.
Ian writes LGBTQ fiction, mainly romance. Growing up, he could never find many books portraying guys like him, so now he's helping to fill the shelves with gay-friendly tales. He tends to write more romance, because he loves nothing more than a happily ever after.
I got a little tired of Chad and his hot and cold attitude. I also didn’t like the fact that Victor was conniving to get Chad to take his virginity. And the sex scene was really pretty silly. How could a virgin take someone that big with so little prep?
What the ever living fuck. There's a big'ole production about this guy having a huge, gigantic, MOnstErOUS cock and then all he does to prep is sweet, innocent, viRGiNAL lover is use two fingers to.. 'make it fit'. The entire book was sooooo annoying but this really pushed it over the edge for me, the dude coming untouched couldn't even help this mess bye gurl bye

The way the authors genuinely went out of their way to make this a police propaganda 🤣 It's too funny, just. Specifically making a Black female character saying she never felt unsafe in the force? Oh please.
Leaving this aside, the book was... silly. It honestly made me laugh - sometimes in a good way, sometimes... Not 😂 The sex scene at the end had such a build up and yet wad so bad. Leave aside unrealistic but it was written so badly. How some people manage to publish books writing like this is beyond me.
This is intense, entertaining and dramatic. When Victor decides that it's time to give up on his acting career and go home, he ends up living with Chad, his deceased brother's former partner in the police department. He had lived with Chad previously, 5 years before, after his brother was killed and before he moved to New York. When they met Victor was a 13 year old shy child, but Victor was drawn to Chad, and gradually developed a crush on him. And that's what drove him away, he couldn't stay around Chad knowing that he could get killed any day. Victor still has the same feelings for Chad, and tries to get his attention, but Chad doesn't show any interest. Chad is interested, but he had promised Victor's brother he would watch over him, not claim him. The storyline is filled with twists that keep you on the edge of your seat. Victor is very innocent and sweet, Chad is jaded and rough around the edges. Victor is perfect for Chad. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
Making It Fit is book 1 in The Making It series. I love this beautifully written emotional, age gap, first time, sweet story about Victor and Chad. Though Chad promised Victor's brother he would look out for him, Victor had to grieve the death of his brother in his own way, he left town. Now, five years later, Victor finds himself needing to go home as New York has become too expensive for him to live. Chad is pleased Victor is coming home and offers him a bedroom in his home. Little do the other know that they have been crushing on each other for awhile. I love Victor and Chad together. It took a bit for them to figure out their feelings for each other but ended up with their happy ending. This is a new author to me and I look forward to reading more of his work. I definitely recommend this book.

This author, knows how to create a character in silent lust! I was in costant giggles reading of Chad's agony. Frederico, Chad's partner was killed on the job. He had previously asked Chad to mentor his younger brother, Victor whom he thought may be gay. 5 years after Fred died, Vic reached out for help. Chad insisted he stayed with him. Vic, looked just like but better than Frederico. Chad, went into immediate lust and his Daddy mode was triggered. Victor, a virgin, lusted after Chad in his hotness. Chad feels morally obligated to honor Fede's request to watch over Vic. He lusts of being over Vic. How long will Chad last? Does Vic know he has control of Chad's button? This is truly a 'tango' read! The dance constructed by this author is divine! Well done! I received an ARC from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Police officer Chad has lost his partner and best friend in the line of duty. He has promised to look out for Federico's younger brother. But Chad sees Victor as a sexy, irresistible young man whom he is having major trouble staying away from. It isn't easy when Victor comes back home after failing to kickstart his acting career in New York and the only place Victor can live is in Chad's house. Chad finds out Victor is still a virgin and Victor wants to change that as soon as possible. They both try to ignore the huge attraction building between them both. Will they succeed? Who will Victor choose to lose his virginity? This is a new author for me and I loved the story. The emotion, the issues both Victor and Chad face, the arguments for and against them getting together. What will happen between them? Highly recommended read.
I love this author’s work and always look forward to the next one. I liked the contrasts in here. With Victor being such a sweet innocent guy and Chad a rough and tough cop you get the opposites attract as well as a little of the age gap. There is some dangerous parts that I felt the author handled perfectly to keep you in suspense. And the ending let me know how they were doing in what I thought was a very realistic true to character way. I was lucky to receive an advanced reader copy. By the way, at the end is an excerpt from Recreational Love which is part of The Boys of Oregon Hill series. I really enjoyed that series and it was nice to read and remember the feels. You should totally check it out.
This was a good story. Chad is very much a tormented hero as he tries to resist Victor all grown up. They did have some great tension between them as he was trying to get his mind around the fact of his attraction. Oh sweet Victor. He just wanted Chad but with no experience whatsoever he didn’t know how to even tell if Chad liked him that way. It was sweet for the most part. I enjoyed the side characters, and the main characters most of the time. The tension was top notch and the dressing room scene? Phew! So hot. But it did get frustrating dealing with Chad’s drastic hot and cold and his indecision. I totally get Victor’s response to it. And I didn’t like the “acting” Victor did to get Chad’s attention at the beginning. Other than that it was great and I enjoyed it.
Loved this book! It’s a sweet brother best friend love story. Victor has to run back to his home town and into the arms of he childhood crush. Chad promised his partner and best friend that he would take care of his brother if he died. And 5 years ago that happened. Now Victor is back and living in his house. And he’s finding him hard to resist since he grew up. This is a great cat and mouse chase love story. And Victor the sweet virgin isn’t the mouse. This book was refreshing and sweet and I can’t wait to read more from this author in the future.

Chad had been partners on the force with Victor's older brother who was killed. He promised Victor's brother that he would watch out for and take care of him and in taking that to heart he takes Victor in when he returns to town and is planning to move to place that was not safe. Living together proves too close proximity for Chad to keep his hands off Victor but it turns out that that was good as these two are good together. Chad kept his promise. And it turned out that they realized their chemistry was not just physical but that they had real feelings for one another.

Victor was Chad's deceased police force partner's younger brother. He swore to his partner, Federico, that he would always look after Victor. Victor lived with him after Federico's death until he moved away to go to college. When Victor calls to let him know he is coming home, Chad immediately offers him his room back. He wasn't expecting is feelings towards him to be different when he sees how he's grown up while away. Victor has always had a crush on Chad and with his friend's help sets out to win his man.

I'm sorry, but this was so silly. Chad constantly talking to himself and his dick out loud was ridiculous enough, but the sex scene was pure fantasy. How can you spend so much time talking about one guy being a virgin, the other having a monster cock that is too big for most people, and then have sex after using only two fingers for prep?????? That was just laughable, and the dirty talk was not it. Also, Chad sometimes talks about himself as if he's some paranormal creature, but he's literally just a guy. His hot and cold behavior was very much not hot, and Victor's games were just... meh. And when I read the words 'virgin seed', I wanted to scream 🙃
The overwhelming attraction between Chad, a tough muscled cop, and Victor, a sweet younger man, is instant and powerful. Trouble is Victor is untouchable in Chad's eyes and so the dance, games, and flirting begins, Victor is determined to win Chad over but he is terminated to resist. This was a really entertaining story, keeps you on your toes, there's a few 'oh no he didn't' moments, just great writing. Also, be warned, the sex scene at 70%, and goes on sooo long, is one of the hottest I've ever read.
This book was hot and I wanted to love it but it sincerely irritated me that the two main characters would NEVER have come together if not for all the meddling from the secondary (Shonda, Chad's partner; Gavin, Victor's actor friend) and tertiary (the sales agent from the shopping trip scene) characters. I'm sure that was supposed to "read" as cute but for some reason it just seemed like a bit much. Not my cuppa but overall, I liked the story. I don't see myself re-reading this one but I'd be willing to try more by these writers.
I was hooked from the start. The sexual tension between Chad and Victor was intense. The constant push and pull in their relationship had me on edge a lot but it kept this an entertaining read. I had a couple of LOL moments along with a lot of smiley faces. Not a lot of angst or drama. When finally it came to "making it fit" in the story, things were working well for the guys. No more doubts, no games...all love.

This was an easy quick story to read. Both men wanted the other but was ether afraid to be embarrassed, thought it was wrong, or was scared to approach the other. All of the characters in the story made sense and their personalities felt realistic. Both the main plot and sub-plots fit together to keep the story moving and to show more depth in the main characters. I do not remember any grammatical issues catching my attention. Nicely done.

DNF!!!!!! 76% could not keep reading even though it was just getting spicy.
I’m usually ok with the characters being oblivious to each other’s feelings, but this one was just ridiculous. One being too insecure/innocent while also being manipulative? and the other being a martyr. How to tell when it’s really bad writing. Character talking aloud to himself instead of internal thoughts. Simple spelling errors. Repetition of lines that really only needed to be said once for the theme to be clear. Conflict between past thoughts and current thoughts (beyond a reasonable change/growth)
I enjoyed the storyline of Chad and Victor with their age gap romance. The characters are well developed each with their own quirkiness that definitely adds humor to this book. I was glad they were able to work through the guilt and express what they really felt for each other, more than a passing fling. Good.ending as you get a small insight into the next book in the series.

Making It Fit by Ian O. Lewis and Luke Jameson was a great book. Chad and Victor had great chemistry, and I loved when they went shopping together. The story was hot, fast-paced, and has a virgin just trying to drive his brother's best friend past his breaking point. I loved Chad's caveman tendencies and the python he has hiding in his pants.

I loved this work, I couldn't put it down. I loved the chemistry between the characters and watching them finally come together was such a steamy scene it had me heating up. I loved the plot, the ups and downs, the internal struggles within the characters, everything. I look forward to more in this series.
I give this a five out of five stars.

I could not wait to read this story. Chad and Victor had a few issues to work out, but that is half the fun. Some of the scenes in this story had me almost in tears. One of my favorites was the shopping scene.

Making It Fit was cool, funny, and hot. Ian O. Lewis is a new author to me, but I will definitely be looking up his books. I can’t wait for the next book in the series. Victor and Chad was just right for each other. Especially once he got over his feelings of guilt and insecurities. Victor made me laugh. I loved his attempt at seduction. I can’t wait for Gavin’s story.
Victor and Chad were exceptionally hot together, and I loved how they just kept ratcheting things up until neither man could deny his need for the other. I would have liked to have seen them talk about Fede with each other, to remember good memories with their shard grief, but I never felt that either man reacted in an unrealistic way.
Incredibly cheesy. How they go from barely knowing each other to madly in love I’ll never know.
Also, if you’re to do anal with a cock bigger than any porn star? You’re gonna need more than two fingers of prep and the fact that he just shoves it in? What the fuck dude.
Also, him telling his dick “down boy,” every five seconds got annoying.
After five years, Victor was moving back home and was going to live with his dead brother's best friend Chad. The only problem with that is Victor has cared for Chad since he was a teenager. I enjoyed this book.
