I loved the darker tones in Spirit Witch, and it really serves as a turning point in the series. Benner ups the ante here with an even greater demonic threat, this time on the entire town of Mountain Shadow. No one is safe, and Fiona realizes she's responsible for the outpouring of demons invading the town.
And while she realizes that she must save Mountain Shadow, Supernatural Hunter Gabriel Pierce warns her of dire consequences, even if she wins this one. Once you reach the end of Spirit Witch, you'll realize that it doesn't matter what Fiona does to save the town; an even greater threat always looms.
It will leave you begging for Book IV, which Benner has stated will be released in the Summer of 2021.
So good to come back to Fiona and Gabe. I listened to the first two books on audible and really enjoyed them. Having switched to reading Book 3 with words and not on audible has not dimmed how much I like this series in the least. After a reading slump I came back to Kindle and have loved Book 3 and reading about Fiona and Gabe again - plus the gang.
Things have definitely exploded in the town of Mountain Shadow and everyone has to step up their game if they are going to make it through unscathed.
I like how the relationships in this series play off each other in a natural way. Tarah has a knack for building worlds that are fully shaped and easily imaginable, with a great cast of characters.
I had a hard time putting this book down to get stuff done. I’d put it down and find myself wondering what the characters were going to do next or how the current problem would be solved. This book picks up right where book 2 ends and some questions are answered. I am not a fan of love triangles and was a little worried how the dynamic between Fiona, Wesley, and Gabriel would play out and for how long but Tarah doesn’t drag it out and I appreciated that. I feel like Fiona become more confident in her abilities as a witch in this book and makes some hard decisions. I am excited for where this book leaves off and the possibilities of where the next book could go. I can’t wait for book 4.
Geez! My heart is pounding through my chest right now! I really cannot believe this book ended like that! Didn’t help I was thinking there were only 3 books too, but I am not going to complain about another book in this series! Love the character progression, and the little curveballs throughout the book that were unexpected! Love this book! ❤️❤️
Spirit Witch is the third book in the Witches of Mountain Shadow series, and it does not disappoint. The stakes are higher than ever before, leaving Fiona to step up her game. I’m enjoying getting to know this cast of characters better with each book and am looking forward to reading the fourth installment.
Thanks to Agatha, the traitor witch, when Fiona kills Agatha's partner in evil deeds, it allowed a witch to return to life. And since Agatha made a deal with the king of demons to grant that life, the king expects Fiona to open a portal from the underworld to earth. How can Fiona beat the king of demons?
Another edge-of-your-seat story from Tarah Benner. I can't wait to read Book 4 to find out how Gabriel turns The Brotherhood around from their path of destruction!
Everything about this one was amazing! Was hooked from the start and cannot wait to read what’s next- a little too slow of a slow burn romance for my taste but hopefully that will change soon!!!
