Ruthless Games #3

Sweet Salvation

Rate this book
The lies will come crumbling down… and the bodies will start piling up.

Once upon a time, I saved Marcus Constantine’s life.

Then he, Theo, and Ryland saved mine.

But that’s not enough anymore. It’s not enough to just survive. I want a future with these men. I want peace and happiness.

And the only way to find it is through war.

We’re done playing defense. This time, the game won’t stop until the blood of our enemies runs as red as the roses on my tattoo. Because it’s a different game now, and we make the rules.

More and more, I think Marcus was right. Our souls really are bound by blood.

These men are a part of me.

And God fucking help anyone who threatens them.

This is the final book in the Ruthless Games series, a new adult reverse harem romance. It contains steamy bedroom scenes, violence, and dark subject matter. Please venture between these pages at your own discretion.

Wow... great, great closing to this Trilogy. I really had no idea how this was going to go. And I was sure someone I really cared about, would not make it out.

This was a very unconventional tale of all things Love and Loyalty, but it more than worked.
And the last 2 chapters and Epilogue, plus the free bonus scene you get with Marcus, was what truly pushed this final book to a 5 star read for me.

All of the 3 books are very quick reads, but packed with tons of story.

I would definitely recommend this Trilogy.

Thank you Debbie for corrupting me with these unorthodox, yet worthy males🤗

For Ayla, Marcus, Theo and Ryland it's all about the end game. Can they beat the main bad guy and all the other players in the game of death? For them to have a future they must team up with others and dig up secrets all while not getting exposed and killed.
I was on edge the whole time trying to figure out how they would make out on top.
loved this series so much it was dark, gritty and sexy. All characters were amazing.

I have never been more upset for a series to be finished, but also I’ve never been this happy. Every book in this series was pure perfection and the final one didn’t disappoint.

This final book tied up all of the loose ends we can picked up throughout books 1 and 2. Sometimes you can predict what is going to happen in a final book based off of the first two but Callie threw so many curve balls I just stopped guessing what would happen and just read!!!! The book was fast paced so I didn’t have to sit wondering for long and there was so much action to keep me entertained.

The guys stayed their dominating selves, however I did love seeing them open up more to Ayla and confessing their feelings to her. Ayla became even MORE of a badass and watching her character progress throughout this series, especially with her disability, was beautiful.

Plus, the STEAM!!! Oft. I definitely worked up a sweat reading those scenes!

Callie Rose has proved yet again why she is my ultimate unicorn author. I can’t wait to see what she next has in store for us!

Not what I was expecting

Here’s the thing, I’ve read well over 200 books this year, not all of them were great, but I was HIGHLY anticipating the final book of this series for SO long and it fell ridiculously flat for me.

I accidentally started reading this series before checking to make sure it was complete. I’m too impatient to be left on a cliffhanger so I was really disappointed in myself because I HAD to know what was going to happen next!
I was invested. Point blank. Period.
Sad-freaking-face y’all...

Here’s the breakdown..
*The Good*
— The storyline wasn’t bad. The turns the plot took were creative and while a few things were predictable, I wasn’t disappointed I figured it out before the characters.

*The Bad*
— There was a level of corniness in this book that I just couldn’t get over. Major eye rolling happened. Ayla isn’t weak per se, and of course it’s important to promote a persons ability to overcome physical limitations, but the level of corniness throughout the dialogue overshadowed the attempt to give her character the strong willed vibe that she needed to have in the world she was dropped into. It felt really forced. At least for me.
This was something I didn’t feel through the first two books.. like AT ALL.. so it’s really hard to put my finger on the exact reason I felt this way through this book. All I can boil it down to is I just felt a disconnect with her character this time around. And I re-read the first two books before starting the third!

— Other than the disconnect from the continued character building I have a few *face palm* points that I need to mention👇🏼👇🏼
• I hate, LOATHE even, when in books and movies characters wake up next to each other and immediately start to get it on. I’m a stickler for hygiene, especially of the oral kind.
Hygiene is sexy, amirite??
So every single time there was a shower and no mention of teeth brushing, or when they would wake up after a full almost 24 hours of sleep, after not being back at their own house where their toothbrushes for sure are, and just start eating each other face... NU UH 🛑 pump them breaks and take care of your muck mouth before you “suck on his tongue” girl! 🥴
Maybe these details don’t bother other people as much, but these situations definitely contributed to my inability to get into or stay in that trance-like reading state during those steamy scenes.

I want to feel like I just can’t read the words fast enough and thinking about morning breath kills it for me 🤷🏻‍♀️.

• I also REALLY hated the way she handled meeting a certain character in this book. I can’t say too much because I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone, but her level of “stand-offishness” honestly made me angry. I’m not saying she should have blindly trusted this person, because that would have been unrealistic for her character, but some sort of human emotion would have been nice. It was almost like the more she came to terms with this character the more indifferent she acted. She just glazed right over it when I feel like it should have contributed to her life, to the plot, in a larger manner.

Also the ending and bonus scene were just blah. Nothing spectacular.

I’m not writing this review to discourage anyone from reading this book because, let’s face it, if you’ve read the first two and don’t read the third.. you’re a monster. This review is honestly kind of me trying to sort out how/why I feel disappointed in the conclusion of this series. Also, maybe if I temper your expectations a little.. the book will turn out really great for you.

I honestly hope you enjoy it more than I did.
Happy Reading.

It's taken me way too long to finish this series because rather than wanting it to end, I've kept putting this off and re-read the first two lol.

Callie Rose is definitely one of my favorite RH authors. I love her writing style as it's always polished and so smooth to read. She does a great job of creating a solid and interesting plot, but also blends the relationship building aspect between the characters throughout the story without it just being about sex. There's a decent amount of steam, but you know it's more about love than just lust. I really appreciate that.

I'm so sad this was only a three-part series but what a glorious and satisfying wrap up. I loved Ayla's character as she was tough, resilient, and didn't have much to be happy about, but wasn't jaded, and full of belligerent anger and attitude. I looovvveeeed how the relationship developed with the guys as well.

Theo is definitely on the list of forever favorites. He was amazing. Marcus and Ryland were solid as well and I thought they made a really solid brotherhood. I can't help but feel Ryland didn't get as much time with Ayla, but it reflects a little on his personality type and so it's not totally unbalanced. There clearly was equal love between all of them.

I enthusiastically recommend this series.

This series was everything. I'm still baffled as to why the ratings are so low and there are so many negative reviews for these books but to each their own ig. Personally, I absolutely adored Ayla, Marcus, Theo and Ryland and this series is def one of my fav RH series atp. I especially loved the disability rep - something we don't get to read about often...makes my heart so happy honestly. However, if there was one thing that I didn't like/would have liked to see more in these books, it's the single POV through Ayla's eyes. I really would have enjoyed diving into the guys' minds and seeing their thought process/how they fell for Ayla. But no worries, that aspect not being present does not diminish my love for the books. One thing I know for sure tho is that I should always read books with moderate/slightly lower ratings because I actually do end up liking those stories the best lol. Other than that, I do look forward to reading more books by Callie Rose since I'm utterly in love with her writing ajsjsjjsk🥹❤️

P.S. GET YOU MEN WHO FUCKING WORSHIP YOU AND THE GROUND YOU WALK OK LIKE MARCUS, RYLAND AND THEO🧎🏻‍♀️🤰🏻

This is my review for all 3 books in this series.

I listened to the first book of the series on audible and didn't really love it. I didn't particularly connect with any of the guys, I did however like Ayla.

But I have been on a mission lately not to abandon books so easily. It's kinda a big problem of mine. So that and how much I liked Ayla made me start the second book. This series is such a good example of why I shouldn't abandon books cause I would have missed out on such a good story. This actually ended up being one of my favorite why choose romances. And even though I didn't really like Marcus in the first book, I did end up really loving him.

So sad this series is over but it was perfectly drawn out and written. I loved how smart Ayla was and how she figured out what was really happening. I love that she finally found her brother and that they were able to have a relationship even after everything they went through. I love that the men kept their words and shared the power between the 6 of them. The ending had me laughing and I love that they have a kid exactly like her. Definitely recommend for spice, action, and romance.

How did I almost forget to review this book???

Callie outdid herself with this whole series and this book wraps everything up with a gorgeous bow! I don’t know how to leave a review without a spoiler but I will say.... an imperfect character being as badass is what makes this story so amazing!

Blood and family thats what the last book in this series was all about to me. All loose ends were tied up and a big secret was uncovered. So basically the last book went out with a bang as you'd expect considering the fast pace of the rest of the series. It was definitely given the ending it deserved and i couldnt have loved reading it more. Absolutely bloody brilliant!

Meh....I need a pause from all this violence, or maybe I need a break from Callie Rose and her dark reverse harem books, which begins to blend all together in my mind.

Bah, insomma niente di che e sicuramente devo prendermi una pausa da tutta questa violenza e dai libro di Callie Rose che ora mi sembrano tutti uguali.

My feelings:

“I could drown in this man, I think. I could fall into the depths of his soul and never resurface. Never want to.”

I really enjoyed this book. I grabbed this off amazon when it randomly popped up for a “you might like this”. And I did. Like really really did.

“Seems fitting, doesn’t it? Under the statue of an angel, we’ll have a meeting with the devil.”

This book was a lot steamier then the first. We finally get a few MMF,MMMF chapters…. Hot dam! Bring some swimmers its getting a bit wet in here!

“This is mine now. Ours. Someday I’ll watch Ryland or Theo fuck your perfect ass while you ride my cock. Would you do that, angel? Would you let us have all of you?”

This book takes off where the 2nd left us. We found out the viper was in fact Luca, and that the game was all fake. After attending an event at Luca place one night, they manage to steal some information from His computer before Luca announces that they have been kicked out of the game and are to be killed.

“I’m not done, angel,” he murmurs quietly. “We’re not done.” Then he kisses me.”

The run for there lives with he help of Dominic, who turns out to be Ayla brother Caleb. They all banned together to kill Luca and save themselves from the other gangs chasing them. When Luca is dead they team up together and form a sort of truce gang for the city and each control a section.

“I had this stuffed animal called LaLa when I was little. It’s like my earliest memory. My mom took it away and fucking burned it. I never understood why. But now I do. Because it was mine. Not her son’s. It was from my old life, and she couldn’t let me have it.”

I really enjoyed this last book, it was fast paced and had lots of developments as we went along. Only negative side was the ending was wrapped up really quickly and it left me wanting more.

“This is the kind of love they talk about in history books as the reason wars are started. The reason empires rise and fall.”

Highly recommend

eh - lil annoyed

After going back-and-forth with the other books between a 3 1/2 to 4 stars, this one was a solid three stars for me.

**Before I go on, please note there are spoilers so if you don’t want to know what happens, do not read any further. **

So again, I give this author props, because I kind of liked this whole plot. It was very twisted and dark. I mean, this is a book this isn’t real life. I like how the relationship continues to evolve with all the MCs. I’m not a prude by any means, you can’t be when you read reverse harem, but sometimes there’s just a time and place for sex and some of the times and some of the places made me roll my eyes.
Now don’t laugh, but hygiene people! This is how UTIs happen 🤣

Here is my biggest issue with this book and why I didn’t like it more than three stars …Ayla focuses and lives to find the brother she was separated from for all these years. When she finally finds him, the indifference and impersonal relationship she ends up having with him is absolutely absurd. Given everything the men she is involved with do, have done, what she has done and the environment and situation her brother had it’s just plain old stupid and makes her nothing short of a hypocritical biatch. IMO the author f’d up going that route.

The epilogue was, meh oh and I think that’s what made me even more pissed off with the situation with her brother.

After the revelation of the last book, the guys are training Ayla to fight and protect herself in preparation for the upcoming war with Luca. They're trying to gather evidence linking him to the Viper. Marcus is still engaged to Victoria and looking for a way out of it. Ayla is still searching for her missing brother.

This was a fast read that I finished in a few hours. The story was mostly enjoyable but I didn't feel the connection I did in the other two books. Ayla found her brother and I figured that out before everyone since it was fairly clear where things were headed when a certain person showed up. I wanted more connection between the siblings and wish the epilogue had expanded on their relationship. Really liked Victoria's bad bitch attitude and loved that she got her HEA.

And that’s how you wrap up an amazing series! Callie Rose does it again, bringing her A game to the table with Sweet Salvation.

In this final installment, we see Ayla, Marcus, Theo, and Ryland come together in full force to take on Luca and pry Halston out of his ironclad grip. We delve deeper with some unlikely allies and so much comes to light within these pages!

This is a faster paced, high action book that delivers on all accounts, believe me. And the steam? Melted Kindle worthy. Ayla and the guys will leave you wanting for nothing.

This is such a great series and I absolutely loved it and the characters. I don’t want to say goodbye to them!

This book wasn’t quite what I expected when I finished the second one, but it held up really well! It was full of action and romance, with some twists that I guessed at pretty quickly.

Marcus, Ryland and Theo were as great as always, and Ayla continued being kick ass. I’m glad they were able to have some allies. I do wish that there had been more alliances and they had ganged up on Luca more. I think that part went by quickly.

The book does go by pretty quickly, and there’s a lot of action consecutively. The epilogue was really sweet and I’d love to see more of them.

A perfect ending to series!!

This series started off a little slow for me but I’m so glad that I persevered with it because the plot was amazing, original and had me hooked!

It was curve ball after curve ball and I didn’t see any of it coming. Callie Rose kept me on my toes the whole series and I was here for it.

I also loved that heroine had a disability and this just proved that no matter your circumstances you can still be a boss bitch!!

A story that started off with obsession and turned into family, loyalty and a whole lot of lovin.

I think this was a great ending to this trilogy. I think the plot of the book was good I just didn’t think that the spicy scenes were timed right for some scenes. Like they didn’t really flow naturally from the plot and it felt like it was just thrown in to add the spice. Also there were a couple of scenes where Ayla maybe shouldn’t have been able to do certain things considering her disability. It felt like the only time Ayla really struggled with only having one arm was during the spicy scenes. Other than that I thought this book was really good. I also loved the epilogue! So sweet and just perfect for these 4!

Omg this book has it all and then sweetly wraps the series up in an amazing way.
This book will take you on some emotional rollercoaster rides throughout, with things that come to light and also with what occurs in the book.
In this book we see Ayla, Marcus,Theo and Ryland try to find the link to prove that Luca is the Viper. Whilst getting this information Luca makes them have to hide to survive. To all come to a clash at the end against Luca himself.
Which will leave you shocked at what happens and so proud. This book also contains lots of hot steamy scenes that will leave you satisfied by the end of the epilogue which is so amazing.
Totally recommend this kickass series

What an absolutely amazing conclusion to this series. Fast paced and full of action and hot sexy moments, this was an excellent way to complete a series that has had me second guessing and addicted from the first page. Ayla and her hot alpha males had a love that none of them would survive without, so they had to go to war to get the chance to enjoy it. I reccomend this reverse harem series, it has really been so good.

Callie has done it again with another fabulous ending to an amazing series. I'm gonna miss these characters and this world that was created for them. Callie has a way with story telling that will keep you on edge and thinking you know what happens next but you don't. Each book was great in it's own not also they got better with the next and this one had the perfect ending they deserved. I can't wait to see what Callie has for us next I know it will be amazing as always.
