Outpost Earth

Rate this book
Outpost Arcus is a Pangaean mining operation on P5, a frozen planet once in orbit beyond Mars. The remote solar system is on the outskirts of the known universe, so it's thought to be uninhabited.

In search of water, Lieutenants Rucker and Dana travel to the inner planet, P3, where they are befriended by a family of primitive humans— who should not exist!

The ancient— and somewhat senile— humanoid robot the humans worship is an even greater mystery.

Forced to bring this motley crew back to Arcus, Rucker must then hire an unmarked smuggler's ship to return them to Earth, setting off a string of events that dooms the icy world and slips the hands of time.

Some entanglement but does get interesting.

the
Story got bogged down in places, and confusing in other places but seemed to pic up later. Over all it was difficult to maintain interest at times.
