PERFORMANCE: 5 STARS

Shane East & Samantha Brentmoor make an exceptional team from this journey. I have enjoyed every aspect of their narration thus far and I’m looking forward to listening to them for the rest of Rae & Harrison’s journey!

STORY: 4 STARS

Not gonna lie, I was disappointed we didn’t get more on both Rae & Harrison’s past with this second book. It is so much a part of who they are today, and I feel like I should know more by this point. Their past and their upbringing is the conflict behind the conflict for them, in my opinion. It’s what stopped Rae from being decisive in Beautiful Enemy and its what is ultimately stopping Harrison from not just moving forward from his past and living his life but also being decisive when it comes to Rae. Neither one is really putting this relationship as top priority and that makes me a little sad at this point, because I’m putting their relationship as top priority!! I AM INVESTED! I really like them both and I think they’d be magic together!!!

Both cliffhangers, in my opinion, were appropriate circumstances to what was happening in the storyline at the time, but where Rae’s reaction to the circumstance was plausible and even realistic, Harrison’s reaction in this installment was not. He’s the mature, older one in this relationship and his answer to the explosive circumstance at the end was #twitchy at best LOL Not only did it not fit with the Harrison I’d been reading, but it also came across as nonsensical to me. I know that the next installment will pick up where this one left off and more than likely either reverse the actions of the explosive ending in some way or at least flesh it out to not be #twitchy but I’m reviewing this part of the story arc and not what might be so … *sad face*

OH, I should probably explain what I mean by conflict behind the conflict! lol Okay, that just means that all the little bombs you read that cause Rae & Harrison’s journey to get bumpy are not the real problem between them. Those plot-points are just noise drowning out what the real problem and are used to move the story along and make it more dramatic.

I don’t want you to get the wrong idea from my words because I love this story something fierce! I have from the very beginning. It’s fun, sexy, captivating, and deals with real life issues organically and realistically, without weighing down the story. The real-life issues presented in this story can go off the rails dark really quick but Piper Lawson is choosing to write the lighter side of them, hopefully without skimming over them. There is still a whole lot of story to be told here in my opinion and I am truly psyched for every word!

Intense with a side of sinful and a dash of intrigue. Harrison and Rae are the best kind of heartache. A dangerous addiction that thrives on being unpredictable. Lawson keeps the senses on full alert with an edgy couple that aims for the heart and hits it's target every time. The right kind of naughty packs the perfect amount of heart. Beautiful Sins is a MUST READ!

FYI- this is book 2 in The Enemies Trilogy.  Read them all and in order for maximum understanding and enjoyment.

After that killer cliffie in book one, I wondered how Rae and Harrison could be anything to each other ever again!  The angsty, monkey wrench filled drama was too much after laying it on the line for a chance at something real and then BAM,...the rug was pulled out from under them.  What could possibly be next for our tumultuous pair?

Harrison, a decisive, persistent and always bold risk taker, was still driven to keep his competition out of the running, building his empire even more to prove he's worthy of the biggest prize.  He'll do whatever it takes to restore his family's honor and his past will never be laid to rest without that.

Rae and Harrison are back in each others zip code but in a new location now- LA.  As their paths cross again, it's oblivious they take the utmost pleasure in toying with each other, that sarcastic push and pull is like the ultimate foreplay for them.  Their innuendo laced banter is like the crackling thunder and smoldering lightening of a perfect storm whenever they're together.  So entertaining to watch them in action!

Rae and Harrison began as enemies and after fighting the inevitable, turned into tentative lovers.  The cool, aloof, very British Harrison has feelings after all and every one of them is for Rae. He has to fight his jealous reaction seeing the easy way she has with anyone but him.  I have grown to really love Harrison and his cocky, clever and seriously sexy deliciousness.  He is the perfect man to soften Rae's 'take no prisoners' attitude.

Her confident determination in fighting to reach the top of her career is what she lived for. As the story progressed and her secrets are spilled, finding out what happened to make her the tough, untrusting sole that she is was eye opening and explained alot about the wall she puts up around herself.  It's hard for her to let people see into her heart for reasons you'll have to find out as you dive into this story.
Rae and Harrison's common denominator seemed to be allowing the ghosts from their past to make plans for their future.  I was ready to freak out on them a few times while reading this one!!

How could I go from smiling at the beauty of their new found love to wanting to hurl my Kindle into moving traffic??  Well, Piper Lawson knows how to push her readers over the edge at times and this was one of them. Of course, I still love her evil plot twists since I'm hanging on the cliff again, wondering- what the hell can Rae be thinking?  Maybe she isn't thinking at all!

One more book to find out if the scrappy, beautiful DJ and her bristly British bad boy can make peace with the past and find their happy place in this world and be together or will they burn it all to the ground?  Inquiring minds NEED to know, I need to know and the sooner the better!

I read an early copy of this book, this is my honest review of it.

Beautiful Sins by Piper Lawson continued Rae and Harrison's sweet, tension-filled, and seductive love story! Book two picks up shortly after Beautiful Enemy left off with Rae moving on and progressing in her successful D.J. career as Little Queen. Fate leads these two back together and their lives become even more entwined this time!

Samantha Brentmoor and Shane East once again narrate this audio. There is even more STEAM in this book, as Harrison and Rae fall hard and deeply in love with each other, and these narrators brought the passion and the heat in their performances! Samantha continues to wow me with her versatility and range showing off Rae's softer, vulnerable side. Shane's performance of Harrison was alluring, charismatic, and swoony!

Overall, I enjoyed this audiobook! If you loved Beautiful Enemies, then you will love Beautiful Sins. Harrison and Rae's romance continues with more secrets revealed from the past, explosively hot steamy times, shopping, private jets, nightclubs, falling in love, and another cliffy ending that will leave you longing to find out what happens next in Harrison and Rae's love story! I am looking forward to more from Piper Lawson!

This was a short, fast paced installment and I’m wishing we didn’t have to wait almost two more months for the conclusion of Rae and Harrison’s love story. I definitely don’t think it needed to be a trilogy honestly, because in the end, we’re back at square one again. I’m still not totally sold on Rae’s character and as always, I wish we had more from Harrison’s perspective. 3.5 stars

What a rollercoaster ride! After the cliffhanger ending of the previous book, Rae has decided she just needs to get on with her life and build her reputation back up, though it's a struggle being labelled a hypocrite. Rae is staying with Becks and he is looking after her well.

Harrison is back in LA working on a new project while he tries to gather evidence that his parents were innocent. He still wants La Mer and to take down Mischa, but he also wants Rae in his life, but first he needs to get her back on side.

Rae and Harrison circle each other still, both having feelings they don't want to address, but their pasts are about to collide in a big way with their present!

A good few surprises in this one and a twist at the end leaving you waiting for the next book! Loved it and can't wait to read the next instalment.

The second book in The Enemies Trilogy, this one really brings the heart to the enemies-to-lovers story of Harrison and Regan, and I loved watching their story develop.

Beware this review will be a little spoilery for the first book in the series – Beautiful Enemy.

In Beautiful Enemy, we watched Reagan and Harrison snark their way through a month of forced proximity, with the two enemies enduring a blistering attraction that ended in one hot encounter before Reagan ran.

And now, we get the pleasure of watching a lovesick Harrison hunt down and win over the woman he can’t get out of his mind, and I was here for it! I wasn’t really feeling the love story in the first book, it was more chemistry and lusty attraction than romance, and it felt like a bit of a mess. But the potential was definitely there for more, and in this book, that’s exactly what we get - more.

Harrison is a driven man who is used to getting what he wants. Up until this point it’s been business, but now, it’s Reagan, and he’s holding nothing back from her anymore.

“You came into my club, my house, my island, and turned them upside down.”

Harrison’s pursuit of Reagan is absolutely gorgeous. He makes it clear that he is there for her, he makes her his priority, and he is opening himself up in a way he never has before. Reagan has held Harrison at a distance up until now, but when he shows up in LA set on claiming her heart, she is powerless to resist. It’s not instant, and the build-up brings this great sense of anticipation, and it’s sweet, romantic, and sizzlingly sexy, as Reagan’s own walls come tumbling down when she finally starts to let Harrison in.

“I understand why you don’t let people in. I can’t promise to make up for all of them, Raegan. But I’ll fucking die trying.”

Everything changes as they commit to an actual relationship, and I loved seeing them all ‘coupley’ and becoming a part of each other’s lives, especially when Harrison’s protective side comes out! They are both dedicated to their careers, but they are by each other’s side through it all – Harrison supporting Reagan in her bid to win a prestigious DJ gig, and Reagan is a big part of Harrison’s new project as he works to build a huge, new club in LA. At the same time, Harrison continues his plans to buy the Ibiza club to honor the memory of his parents, and he’s still searching for answers to his family’s past.

But there are still secrets there, and the dramas of the past haven’t let go just yet. The ending comes with a bit of a surprise, and I’m really keen to see how it’s all going to end up. I’ll be eagerly awaiting the release of Beautiful Ruin in August.

3 stars.

I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntarily, honest review of it.

‘Beautiful sins’ is part of ‘The enemy trilogy’ so you really have to start with the first book ‘Beautiful enemy’ before reading this book. I’m happy that the writer didn’t make me wait long for this story because after that cliffhanger in the first book, I was really curious how Harrison and Reagan’s story would continue in the second book.

In this story, Reagan and Harrison meet again in LA. Reagan is staying with her good friend Beck in LA and meanwhile she’s doing gigs there as a DJ. Reagan is doing her best to forget her time in Ibiza and the man she left behind there. But that is getting harder to do when she sees Harrison again. Harrison is also temporarily staying in LA, he’s there to open a new club. And no matter how hard they try, Harrison and Reagan can’t stay away from each other and soon they are keeping each other company and getting to know each other better. What started as a fling in Ibiza is now growing into much more (some would call it a relationship). Secrets from the past are being shared and their feelings for each other grow day by day. But Harrison’s past is still there, it’s a huge part of him and it’s hard for him to leave it behind and then one night something happens that put their love on the test. Will they fail the test or will they finally build a future together?

Just like the first book ‘Beautiful enemy’, I enjoyed this story too. It was wonderful to see Reagan gain more confidence in herself and her talents as a DJ throughout the story. I really liked that. And in this story we also got more information about her past and what happened to her. Harrison really reacted in a good way on the news and later we got to see a more dangerous, ruthless side of him. I loved that very much! But in this story we also got to see that it isn’t always so easy to leave your past behind. That sometimes it takes more than love to do that. Just like in the first book, we got to see characters from the previous books and the story again ended with a cliffhanger !! But luckily we don’t have to wait too long for the third and last book in this trilogy. I can’t wait to read it!!

Beautiful Sins
Enemies #2
Piper Lawson
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is such an epic series. Beautiful Sins should be read after Beautiful Enemy to read and enjoy the saga that is Rae, a female bitchin’ DJ with much to prove and British billionaire Harrison King whom pretty much gets anything he wants – and what he wants is a certain woman with crazy talent and huge attitude!

When Rae finally gave into Harrison’s demands she copped some serious attitude from those around her, calling him out on his niteclub behaviour, but as she opens herself to him emotionally she sees a new side of this sexy, troubled man!

Harrison was taken by Rae and her smart mouth, quick insults and of course her 2 fingered salutes, but having her in his bed changes everything. She’s gotten under his skin in ways he never imagined. This man could have any woman he wants but only one woman makes his blood boil, both in good and bad ways!

Together their chemistry is off the charts, individually they carry demons from their pasts, that present themselves in a tumultuous explosion. Ending in a cliffhanger ending that has me counting the days until August!

*3.5 stars

I have mixed feelings about this book, but I will say that Harrison now has my heart. Dear god, there is something about a man who is is usually so infallible but just crumbles at the touch of the woman he's always wanted. It gets me every freaking time, and Piper does this so beautifully. I loved getting more insight to him, and actually connect with him unlike the first book. I am now officially a Harrison lover! :)

As for Rae, man my teams just switched here. Last book I adored her so much, but here I just wanted to shake her. She made every wrong decision possible, and even though we did get the reasons why as to why she keeps everyone at a distance, I just wanted her to communicate with Harrison.

That's really my biggest complaint here: the lack of communication combined with all the wrong decision making. I also didn't think this needs to be there books because we are essentially back to where we started, but you can bet your behinds that I will be devouring the last book when it hits my kindle!

*This is an ALC Review*

After listening to Shane East and Samantha Brentmoor bring Rae & Harrison to life in 𝑩𝒆𝒂𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒇𝒖𝒍 𝑬𝒏𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒆𝒔, I couldn’t wait to see where they took these characters in book 2. And, I will tell you this: it was a fabtastic, soul gutting, heart wrenching job! These characters own a piece of me, thanks to these brilliantly talented narrators!

Piper Lawson is an incredible author. She continued these characters story flawlessly and left me hungering for more. The angst that she weaves into their story is magnificent, the passionate sparks that fly between Rae & Harrison is absolutely incredible.

I will warn you though…..the ending???? It packs a punch with a cliffhanger and you’ll want to dive straight into book 3! Definitely a great listen and captivating at 5★!

This is book 2, so you better go read book 1 first, and then BUCKLE UP for book 3 which comes out in August!

I love Rae's spunkiness and her courage. She's a good DJ devoted to being a great DJ in an unfair world.

I love Harrison's desire to honor his parents and build his company.

I love the way I can't tear myself away from them.

I love that their passions sometimes push them together, and sometimes drive them apart.

Plus, I love that every paragraph or two, my heart stings and I have to stop and reread something because I'm just like oh dang that line is so frickin beautiful.

I loved this book! Harrison and Rae have such amazing chemistry, and I love being back in this world! I also loved the mention of Tyler and Annie, my favorites from The Rivals series.

This second installment has us learning more about what happened to Rae as a teenager, and more about Harrison's parents, and why it's so important to him to buy La Mer. The cliffhanger left me dying for the conclusion to their story, and August can't come fast enough! In the meantime, Beautiful Enemy and Beautiful Sins are definitely recommended!

I received an ARC from the author, and this is my honest review of Beautiful Sins.

This is the second book in the Enemies Trilogy and should be read in order. Reagan and Harrison's romance continues in this book after a major cliffhanger in the first book. He usually gets what he wants and he has decided that he wants Reagan. Their chemistry seems to increase in this book after their fling in Ibiza. The meet up in LA and things intensify. We learn more about Rae's childhood. Harrison, the gorgeous British billionaire becomes hard to resist. This series gets much better in this book and I can't wait until the third book

The story continues with Harrison and Rae, this is an angst age-gap DJ / Billionaire romance, with a storyline that will hook you from the start and never let go, After the last cliffy the story takes a new turn, and we see more into each character, the chemistry keeps burning up and we get another cliffhanger that will have you wanting to start the next one asap. The narration is done by Shane East and Samantha Brentmoor was fantastic, well paced, great and clear pronunciation, editing was good and sound volume well balanced.

Great follow up to the first book in this series! We’re back in Rae and Harrison’s world and I couldn’t be happier!! Their chemistry still set me on fire even while they each have their own side stories going - I loved learning more about Rae’s background and why she is the way she is. Some good twists and turns and the ending left me super excited to read the final book in this trilogy!

DNF at 30%. Very much the same as the first book in this series. It picked up a month after the first book ended. Not in the mood for a repeat of book 1. These books are also very short, this one about 160 pages. I get the feeling this trilogy could’ve been easily captured in 1 book.

Book 2 in The Enemies Trilogy and it was the perfect continuation of Harrison and Raegan’s story. Loved seeing more into their relationship. They had a pull towards each other that no matter how hard they fought, they couldn’t fight it any longer. Their chemistry was off the charts hot. Can’t wait to finish their story because let me just say that books 1 and 2 were a tease and I ready to see how it ends. Highly recommend this and all Piper’s work.
