Left by her husband of more than a decade for a younger woman, Joline Jones is understandably love shy and lust avoidant. Super short and super hot!
This is the story of Jolene, a divorced 40 year old, as she gives in her love for her boss, 12 year younger Derrick.
Their book is very short and very steamy, just their sensual encounter and an epilogue. But it's nicely written, a bit cliché in depicting her character, but overall just very satisfying.
I'm gonna be honest, what I loved the most was how he kept calling her "baby girl" (and having the right attitude and voice when doing it :)) despite their age difference. As it should be! While this is not necessarily my favorite trope, I love when people just go for the love and get over the "what people will say" stuff.

This is a cute story that encompasses self-esteem and courage to move ahead and try again. Life has disappointments, but we don’t have to let them stop us from finding happiness elsewhere. Grab your copy and see whether they will give their feelings a chance to take them to something new. Will they get their HEA? If he treats her right, nothing should stop them!

This short story moves along fast but gives plenty of detail for it to work. Chemistry, connection, pasts, self esteem, going for what you want and being brave enough to believe and try again mixed with developed and likeable characters made this a good quick read for me.

A great book. I enjoyed it from start to finish. Loved the romantic hot scenes in this book, the author sure knows how to write to capture you in the moment.

I loved this story. It is the kind that you can identify with the characters and immerse yourself in the story. Very beautifully written and characters to win the heart make this book a must read.

I enjoyed Derrick & Jolene's book. Good characters. It was a hot, quick read. I received an arc copy of the book. And am voluntarily leaving my own opinion.
