Only two things stand between Skye and the life she craves: a priceless necklace and a hot cowboy. Not necessarily in that order.
Skye Stanton enjoys catering for Aunt Judy’s reception center about as much as she likes sour milk and day-old sushi. But she’s trapped as long as Judy holds Grandma’s trust money hostage. So when Skye learns her family may have the rights to a stolen heirloom necklace, she hatches a plan to track down the jewels in exchange for sweet freedom.
For Dillon Wyle, the necklace doesn’t just represent money—it symbolizes loyalty, family, and the mother he tragically lost years ago. Dillon intends to protect that legacy, even if he must fight against the beautiful woman with the sexy smile who shows up at the ranch claiming the necklace for her own.
Skye asserts the jewels were stolen; Dillon insists they were a gift. Only one can be right. And when their relationship turns romantic, the two of them realize there’s more at stake than just the necklace—their hearts, their history, and both families' futures end up on the line.
The Cowboy Who Stole My Heart is the third book in the Wyle Away Ranch series of feel-good, laugh-out-loud romantic comedies about five brothers who each find their happily ever after. If you like clean reads about star-crossed lovers, tradition, and of course hot cowboys, then you’ll love this novel. This can be read as a stand-alone but better in the series—and no cliff-hangers allowed!
This is a Clean Cowboy Romance, and this is the third book in the Wyle Away Ranch series. I have read and reviewed the second book in this series before reading this book. This book is all about a necklace and a romance. I loved this book so much. The characters where so great. I loved some of the characters, and I hated one of the characters. I loved the story behind the necklace, and the ending was so great. The romance was slow moving and cute. I loved the the two main characters had this loved to hate thing going on. This book is well written and great story line. Love it. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher or author (Melinda Carroll) via Booksirens, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.
I’m loving this series and this family! I rarely commit to a series but with Wyle Away Ranch, I find myself eager to go to the next story. So far, this one has been my favorite. The characters come alive and there’s a feeling of mystery as well. I love how the characters from other books are weaved into each story as well. Nicely done!!
Sweet, fun, cowboy, chef, family mystery, slow burn.
This was a short and fun romp on the Wyle Away Ranch. Skye needs to get out from the clutches of her “Cruella” Aunt who's holding both funds and her grandmother's recipes hostage. Dillion wants to protect his family and an heirloom necklace that not only reminds the entire clan of his late mother but connects new people into their family. This leads Skye to Dillion’s family Ranch looking to take back the necklace her Aunt claims was stolen 3 generations ago. Watching Skye and Dillion slowly fall for each other was super romantic and fun. Skye’s upbeat attitude and slight neediness mixed in with Dillion’s cool, bold well mannered cowboy was led to a swoon-worthy sweet read.

The Cowboy Who Stole My Heart ~ Wyle Away Ranch bk3 by Melinda Carroll. Though Melinda is a new author to me, I have found this book very well written and I fell into the story from the very beginning, until the end. We follow Dillon and Syke's story here Dillon being one of the Wyle brothers. I cannot fault this book at all, strong characters and a very interesting plot. I will not be giving spoilers as I believe it is best to purchase it yourself and fall in love with the Wyle brothers. The series of Wyle Away Ranch has a different author for each new book, and I cannot believe how good that they all follow on from the previous book. This book I highly recommend, and if you get a chance please consider the whole series. (I found this series via Booksirens) 5*****
All Skye wanted was to start her own catering business using her Grams recipe journals. But her aunt Judy had them locked away and forced Skye to work for her. That is until Dillon Wyle showed up and threatened Judy if she did not leave his family alone. One of the best books I have read this year. The dynamic of the Wyle family was 180 degrees from that of Skye and her aunt. Skye and Dillon are the perfect hero and heroine. Their chemistry is off the charts. Melinda Carroll did an amazing job crafting this story.

Skye has to find evidence of what happened to the emerald necklace that disappeared from her grandmother. If she can do this her Aunt will give her inheritance. Dillon must keep her from finding out his family received the necklace as a gift. This is a wonderful story that is an enemy to lovers. I have already bought the next book in the series and look forward to reading more from this author.

While this is a part of a series, you don't have to read the prior ones to enjoy this one. The series is about a different Wyle brother and is written by a different author. Each book has all of the brothers in them and they make multiple appearances (except for Ethan) but do great as a stand-alone.
Dillon is the banker of the group. He likes working the ranch on the weekends but enjoys his time in town as well. Skye lives in Texas and works for her disgruntled aunt, Judy. Judy threatens to sue the Wyles for thief of an emerald necklace over 100 years ago.
The author did a great job of making the story-line a little more complex than I expected and kept me glued to my e-reader to try and figure out how the story was going to resolve itself. While the prior stories seemed to end with a HEA this one had a more of a HFN ending feel to it. It was written in a dual POV format which is a favorite of mine.
There was just some scenes that involved kissing but that is all. If you love your romance with a little mystery as to how an expensive item goes from one family to a totally different family, then this is one for you to try and figure out.
I look forward to the next book about Ethan. The eldest brother who left the family fold years ago for college and hasn't returned yet.
The Cowboy Who Stole My Heart is Book 3 in the Wyle Away Ranch. Melinda Carroll has written a contemporary romance book that is just a little bit different. I really enjoyed this book. Sky Stranton is waiting on her grandma’s trust money and learns that her family may have the right to a stolen heirloom necklace. Dillon Wyle says the necklace was a gift. This “little problem” causes Sky and Dillon to see this necklace on different sides! Melinda Carroll has a different twist on how people fall in love. This is such a sweet story with a different conflict. I have really enjoyed all of the books in this series. I felt like the ending was perfect and I can’t wait for book 4, I hope! I received an arc for free and am leaving my review voluntarily.
I really liked this story. I love Cowboys and enemies to lovers. Throw in cooking and its perfect. There was a great cast of characters and I do wish I read the other two books so I knew a bit more about the brothers. I felt there needed to be a touch ore backstory on the brothers but I see its all different authors writing in this small town and tight knit family. the story has a touch of mystery about a stolen necklace and the connection between The two Familys. I would have liked a bit more ending with Skye and Dillon but all in all it was a sweet, fun story and I devoured it in a night. Now I need the rest.
This story was well written and the character development was well done. I loved that Skye, who lived under her Aunt Judy's thumb, was finally able to see that she had better options thanks to Dillon Wyle and his family at Wyle Away Ranch. And, my favorite part. . . a happy ending.
This is the first book I have read by this author and since this is the 3rd book in the series, I look forward to reading the previous two books to learn the backstory of the other family members.
The book was clean and wholesome with some depth and family dynamics at play.
I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest review.
Skye's grandmother passes away and leaves her part of her inheritance , but she can’t access it until she's 28 yrs old. She works for her aunt in a catering business but she is mean and only cares about money. The Wyle family has something her aunt wants . This is an awesome book. I got angry , sad. Happy ,and so much more. Love and family is more important. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
I enjoyed this romance story with all of the characters. The two main characters were Skye Stanton and Dillon Wyle.
Skye Stanton work for her aunt Judy has a catering. She is trapped there because her aunt is holding her trust money that her grandmother. When a man comes in and serves her aunt some lawfully papers. She is quite surprised.
Dillon Wyle and his family are suing a woman for a necklace that she thinks is her. It was a gift to the family. So when her niece show up at the ranch asking about the necklace. He will do anything to keep her a way from it.
This was a fun story to read. It has action, drama, and secrets within. It also had a few laughs and giggles to. It also has a bit of a mystery of were the necklace came from.
I received a complimentary copy via BookSiren. This is my honest unbiased opinions.
This was a great sweet and clean romance. I’m really enjoying the Wyle brothers and their family story. I love that this project happened and it’s really fun to see the different authors’ styles come together. The emerald necklace that shows up in book 1 is one of the main characters of this book (yup, it’s a character because it has a lot of backstory slowly revealed throughout). I had a very hard time putting this one down. I’m not usually one to swoon for cowboys but I really enjoy this series.
Loving reading this series. Clean sweet romance with laugh out loud moments. Dillon and Skye meet in unusual circumstances as she is trying to find a family heirloom that her relatives think his family stole. She tries to hate him but the attraction is instant. The more she gets to him and his family the more she wants to believe they are innocent. Lots of twists and turns and couldn’t put this book down. I received a copy from BookSirens and leave my review voluntarily.
I will say a prayer of thanks at not having an Aunt like Julia, what a demon. The Wyle family interactions are still the main strength in this series of books and the feelings generated between members draw you in. Skye was drawn to this family because of the loneliness she felt to her soul. Her growing feelings for Dillon made you smile. Dillon's feelings were slower to manifest, but just as strong when acknowledged. Nice addition to this family saga.
Such a fun meet cute from the first chapter. This book pulls you right in with a hot cowboy and mystery that work to unfold untangling Skye and Dillon. I love how these two are thrown together, especially when the romance sparking between them gets mixed in with Skye's secret snooping for an heirloom necklace, and family wedding drama. It's your perfect sweet romance set up with an evil aunt and a happily ever after.
Book three of the series, Dillon and Skye's story. With it being another enemies to lovers story I was curious if a different author could put a different twist on it.
It was a good read overall, the ending helped redeem the book for me. It's definitely a continuation of the previous books so it felt longer than it was.
This is such a fun book! I'm hugely excited for people to read it. Melinda is an awesome person and a great writer. There are so many things in this story that made me laugh out loud. And, of course, it is oh so swoony.
I liked this one. Although the romance is quite quick and not based on much there was enough drama to keep the story moving. I would have liked for Dillon to explain the importance of the necklace to Skye. Kisses only.
This is the third book in the series and I’m still loving it! Dillon gets the girl this time and she’s very much like a Cinderella. Skye is willing to do just about anything to get away from her terrible aunt. Luckily it turned out well! Sweet ending!
Really enjoyed this book. Sweet and fun. Lovable characters and a great villain. Bisbee is a fun little town and I like reading about the characters’ visits to some familiar places. Looking forward to reading Carroll’s next book.
This was a sweet enemies to lovers read. I was rooting for the main characters and I love how everything came together. This was a sweet and clean read, I'd rate it PG for kissing.
This is the book in which the random necklace becomes the story. It really is a far fetched premise about a necklace which makes up this whole book. I did enjoy the characters. This was the first book of this series which didn't leave a lot of unsolved conflicts. It felt complete.
The great plot was professionally written, and the characters were so well developed that as I turned each page the chemistry of the characters and the mystery of the story kept me totally hooked until the very last page!
*3.5* I liked this book better than I expected to. Slight discrepancies (2) in the story. I learned to love Jax more. Missed Audrey. Dillon is the serious twin and learning why it is so endeared me to him. I like how kitty, skye and malia were so different from each other . Liked this book overall.
