If you are looking for a feel-good read, this is it. I took my time reading it, because I wanted the joy to last. Dr. Nayfield’s stories recall his college years including vet school experiences, but mostly share tales of many animal patients he cared for throughout his life as a small town veterinarian in Florida. Many are funny; others are heartwarmingly sad. The memories of a volunteer trip he and another vet took o Cuba in support of Cuban vets posed an eye-opening account of life in that country. I totally enjoyed this book!
