The ART of Survival in an Age of Chaos

Rate this book
From the back cover:

As Christians, we know we are called to be overcomers - the gospel promises victory, not victimhood. But sometimes our biggest question isn't how we can thrive; it's how we can even survive.
The Church began in desperate times. The book of James was written to desperate people, much like ourselves. In it, we find the A.R.T of Survival:
- An Attitude to embrace
- A Resource to ask for
- A Theology to understand
In The A.R.T of Survival in an Age of Chaos, Chip Ingram guides us through James's bold teachings on ways to thrive in turmoil. When we choose the right attitude, accept God's resources, and get trained to see from His perspective, we can overcome trials with confidence!

This was a free book given from the IDC 2023 written by one of the plenary speakers Ptr. Chip Ingram and I did not expect it would speak so much to me about our current situation... I have realized that we are actually in another time of testing and trying to live out James 1 at such a time as this is definitely a test of faith, joy and peace.

Still, I learned so much from this book and I was reminded how God sees everything and how He wants to work deeply in me and my family before He works through us. I really pray that God will continue to be glorified in our lives even as we go through this journey. 🙏🫂

Another great quick read by Chip! Three basic guidelines -- not often easy to embrace and live out, but well thought out, practical and clear teaching.

We studies this together as a staff and we had enriching discussions that challenge us to look deep within ourselves. It really helped us take an honest look at how these things flow out of us as we serve in our ministry roles.
