Meet the Ballsy Boys, the hottest gay porn actors out there.
*this is a short introduction to the boys of the series, each one has their own little chapter and you can get a small glimps of what will await you in the books*
K.M.Neuhold has long since been a romance junkie. When she’s not writing she’s reading or spending time snuggling with her husky or her husband. She fell in love with M/M romance last year and hasn’t been able to turn back. There’s nothing she loves more than love in all its forms.
Now why didn’t I read this prequel before reading book #1? I do not know. Oh well. This only had 1 short chapter per each Ballsy Boy and it didn’t really give away too much.
I already can tell I’m going to want to read allllll the characters books. But Brewer is probably the character I’m going to like the least. I get annoyed at fuckboy manwhores, even if the dude is a porn star. 🤷🏼♀️
I normally dislike novellas but this one worked for me. I’m digging into the series anyway so this was a nice little amuse bouche. The quick, chapter-long insights into the character is helpful.
It’s a super quick read and introduces you to all of the MCs in the Ballsy Boys series but it’s inconsistent with the books themselves and gives away some of the mystery surrounding Tank, Brewer, Campy and Heart. I would recommend reading the books first and then reading this novella or skipping the novella completely.
Maybe starting a new series will help me out of my book slump? One can only hope. Here is K.M. Neuhold's Ballsy Boys series. The first book is titled "Ballsy," and it's the prequel where you learn all of the main characters, how they're connected, etc. ["Meet the Ballsy Boys, the hottest gay porn actors out there."]
I can't remember if this series/these characters/this website was mentioned before K.M. introduced the first book, or just after. Either way, like the rest of her books, this one continues on with the interconnected manuscript theme.
And this is so I don't get confused myself: Rebel is a little sad that he's not in a relationship--it's hard in the industry; Tank is the grump in a sunshine/grumpy trope and it totally not in a hate-lust "relationship" with Brewer; Brewer a bit of a fuckboy, but he has big dreams; Campy has secrets and a sick mother; Heart is new to the crew, and he doesn't know who he is anymore after being betrayed; Pixie wants a place to belong.
Suuuuuper excited to start this series (and not trying to put too much pressure on it so "fix" my book/reading slump). Lots of drama and angst and pining and so much room for fluff and romance and steam. ;)
I feel like I shouldn't have to put a sex-work trigger warning on here, because it seems obvious that's what this book is about. Also, sex work shouldn't be criminalized, and maybe then it would be safer. Then again, this series is about porn star actors not your traditional sex workers, so...end mini rant.
Rebel — I’m not like, lonely or anything. It’s just that being someone’s friend is not the same as being someone’s boyfriend. And when you’re me, it’s all too easy for people to only see Rebel, the pornstar, and not the real me, Hendrix.
Tank — Before long, being a pornstar will just be a funny anecdote from my past while I’m a successful architectural engineer.
Brewer — They have no idea of the real me. Then again, no one does. But one day, they will. Dr. Micah, it has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?
Campy — I’ve never told any of them it’s my dream to be a veterinarian. And I have to wonder if all the guys have something deeper that they’re hiding behind the pornstar façade.
Heart — I don’t have a clue anymore of who I am and what I am into. My whole identity has been stripped away in the last three years, and nobody has cared for so long what I want, that I feel like I no longer know myself. I don’t know what I want, or what I like, or love.
Pixie — More than anything, I’d love a big, strong daddy to wrap me up in his arms and tell me everything is going to be okay.
Illuminante direi.... E adesso parto in quarta verso Rebel. Per me è ❤ ❤ ❤ e 💋
I really enjoyed this prequel Novella to the Ballsy Boys Series by KM Neuhold & Nora Phoenix, where we get introduced to the Ballsy Boys and get to find out their different personalities. I’m looking forward to reading each of their books. I’d recommend this book, series and both authors to everyone.
Having already read the ballsy boys series once and knowing what all the books are about, this does a nice job of setting up each story, a bit like extended blurbs. But it does have the potential to be a bit of a spoiler, especially regarding subtle hints about the later books throughout the beginning of the series. It just seems a bit superfluous.
I read this AFTER I'd read the series, no clue why lol. Its short, but when you read it first like you should do, it gives you just a nice amount of info on the characters to get you intrigued
it's a nice intro to the series but kinda useless. we get all that information by reading the books, so I don't really see the point unlike bonus epilogues or deleted scenes. but hey, it's short.
This was a very good introduction to the series because even though every character only gets one chapter, you get a pretty good glimpse at who they are and what their story might be about.
What a great intro to this series! It makes me want to jump right in. I'm excited for all the books but I think Tank and Brewer and Bear and Pixie are the ones I'm most looking forward to.
