Entertaining story of two hot ATF agents solving cases and smooching in their down time. 10 book series, must be read in order. Great characters, nice growth and development over the course of the series, lovely side characters, friends and family. I read the first 5 books a while ago and I wished I had kept notes to give this series a proper review. I know I loved the characters and the couple and that the cases were interesting and exciting. The hair salon was awesome and totally memorable, even years later. Some undercover assignments, everyone a bit broken due to the nature of their work, taking chances and being reckless on the job to get results.

These books need to be read close together, at least read through book 6 before taking any large breaks. The long-term plot has a lot of twists, turns, betrayals and characters. Due to the betrayal storyline, they understandably don’t want the culprit too easy to identify, so there are a TON of characters. I took a large break between books 5 and 6 and unknowingly deprived myself the joy of the big reveal, since I had forgotten who most of the side characters were. As everything was unraveled and explained in book 6, I barely had any idea what they were talking about. My fault completely. Learn from my mistake, don’t take any long breaks until after book 6!!!!! I read the first 5 books over three months, then read book 6 nearly 2 years later. Don’t do that.

Reviewed as a series, each book is a 4-5 on its own, with the entire series coming in as a solid 5. Great writing, excellent banter and conversations, interesting investigations, great action scenes with tough guys and beautiful hurt/comfort moments when cases fall apart.

Contemporary, vers, m/m, finished series, must read in order, ATF, federal agents, HFN during series, HEA in book 7.

**********Contains Spoilers**********

I rated this collection 4.5 stars, so I rounded it up to 5 stars. I’m very new to Patricia Logan’s work and I’m looking forward to reading more. I really enjoyed this Death and Destruction Series Boxset Volume One. Each book in this boxset has been reviewed separately. Good collection of books that I couldn’t put down.

Death and Destruction - ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ - I rated this book 3.5 stars, so I rounded it up to 4 stars. I enjoyed this book and thought that it was a good start to the Death and Destruction Series. At the start of this book ATF Agent Thayne Wolfe had spent the last two years undercover trying to take down a ruthless Arms Dealer Mills Lang. Thayne revealed himself as a Fed during the takedown, so now has a price on his head. He’s the material witness against the Mills Lang but instead of Thayne going into WITSEC, he’s now under the protection of former Marine, Jarrett Evans. The two butt heads a bit but eventually sort things out. The palpable tension between the two didn’t really help matters but it doesn’t take long for it to finally snap.

Flash and Bang - ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ - I really enjoyed this book and thought that it was a good addition to the Death and Destruction Series. This book has a lot more action than book one which I liked. Jarrett has officially joined the ATF and is partnered with Thayne. I think they make a fantastic team but trying to keep Jarrett from doing something completely reckless is a full time job lol. It’s obvious that these two care for each other greatly, maybe even in love with each other even if they haven’t said the words. Jarrett & Thayne have quite a few close calls during this book while in San Diego investigating a fireworks accident.

Slip and Slide - ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ - I really enjoyed this book and thought that it was another good addition to the Death and Destruction Series. During this book Jarrett & Thayne are sent to West Virginia to help investigate an explosion in a mine. We also get to meet Jarrett’s father and his brother’s and I loved seeing him reconnect with them, well mainly his father and brother Elijah since their relationship soured after Jarrett came out to both of them years ago. Jarrett & Thayne’s relationship strengthens with each book and I think they make an amazing team, both personally and professionally.

Locked and Loaded - ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ - I really enjoyed this book and thought that it was another good addition to the Death and Destruction Series. Even though Jarrett & Thayne are partnered up during this book it’s obvious how much of an amazing team they make and that they trust each other to have each other’s back fully. Jarrett’s ex bed buddy, Mossad Agent Adael is back as he has intel that Mills Lang, the complete and utter psycho arms dealer that escaped justice during the first book is up to his old tricks.

Adael has an in and Jarrett ends up partnering with him as Mills is rumoured to have a deadly nerve agent that he’s planning to sell to the highest bidder. I don’t blame Thayne for worrying about Jarrett’s safety, even though he knows how competent he is but he only trusts himself to fully watch Jarrett’s back. Man Adael pissed me off on quite a few occasions throughout this book and he totally deserved more than what Jarrett dished out.

I’m looking forward to reading Point and Shoot next, as well as more books by Patrica Logan in the future. I’d recommend this book, boxset, series, universe and author to others.
