This is a Romantic Suspense, and this is the 4th book in the Justice Seekers series. This book is full of action and suspense, but there is not a lot of romance in this book. I have to say I really enjoyed this book, and I really loved the main character. There was some twists in this book, and I did not see all the twists coming. This book is driven by the storyline and the action more that the characters. I did not get much about the holidays in this book, so I would not pick this book up if you are looking for a holiday book. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Love Inspired Suspense) or author (Laura Scott) via NetGalley, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.
I love suspense and this offering from Laura Scott fit the bill quite nicely. A witness to a crime ring's deeds needs a place to hide and a US Marshal is taking her case. Unfortunately, the safe house is compromised and from then on, non-stop action ensues. I enjoyed it very much.
My thanks to Love Inspired for a copy of this book via Net Galley.
Hiding His Holiday Witness by Laura Scott gives readers plenty of action and danger. Robyn Lowry is a witness for a case involving an arms dealer, only the bad guys don’t want her to testify. Someone breaks into the safe house, and by the time US Marshal Slade Brooks finds Robyn, she’s fallen and hit her head. She can’t remember anything about the US Marshals, the case, or her past. Worse, the attacks keep coming and Slade and his partner go on the run with a witness who doesn’t remember anything.
I enjoyed this story. I’ve never read anything by Laura Scott and found this story action-packed and intriguing. Of course, I love action and there are plenty of plot twists and suspenseful moments that kept me flipping pages well past my bedtime. I also liked the romantic sparks between Robyn and Slade. If you are looking for a fast-paced story filled with memorable characters, look no further.
Overall Rating: 5 stars (I loved it, couldn’t put it down)
Suspense Rating: 5 stars (Non-stop edge-of-your-seat suspense from start to finish)

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Hiding His Holiday Witness. This is book four in the series Justice Seekers. I'm a big fan of Laura's work so I'm always thrilled to receive one of her books in the mail. This one is exciting; it's well-written, action-packed, and full of suspense. You can't beat that in my book. I know you are going to love it.
Robyn Lowry is in a small town in Colorado. She is with the witness protection and is awaiting to testify in the upcoming trial. Unable to sleep she hears a scratching sound. A sound she's never heard before. She grabs a sweatshirt and her shoes. The marshal assigned to her isn't in the living room nor is he out in his car. She hears glass breaking. She ducks behind the car and sees blood dripping from the trunk. She runs. At the church, she calls her other marshal but before she can tell him where she is and what is going on she falls down the basement steps.
Marshal Slade Brooks storms out of his room calling the other marshal. It goes straight to voice mail. Where is he? Where is Robyn? He calls his boss for backup. He sees the church. Robyn had insisted on going to church. She might hide there. At the back of the church, he dials her phone and can hear it ring inside the church. Breaking down the door he finds her on the basement floor. "Where am I? Who are you?" She asked. She has lost her memory with only five days until the trial.
A terrifying journey to stay ahead of the cold-blooded killer, keep her alive, and help her regain her memory. God has a plan for these two, a good plan for hope and a future. God has a good plan for you too. A plan for peace and not for destruction even in this time of turmoil. Give Him your heart and watch Him move in your life.
I always enjoy a Laura Scott book and this one is no exception. After meeting Slade in Laura's previous book, I was excited to get his story. Keeping Robyn safe so she can testify against the bad guys and dealing with her amnesia made for a fun read. Looking forward to Tanner's and Colt's stories!
My thoughts: this is a formula romantic suspense written by Laura Scott. It was fairly predictable but there is a good faith message included in it. I was trying to read two Love inspired suspense books at the same time so it did get rather confusing but that was my fault. The hero and heroine were kept on the run as the all-knowing bad guy seem to know every move they made in advance. How do they do that? If you like somewhat predictable and formula romantic suspense you should check out this book and this line of books. I was given a copy free and all opinions are my own.
Hiding His Holiday Witness if the fourth installment in the Justice Seekers Series. Slade is going to get his happily ever after but it’s going to take some running for criminals, dodging bullets and running from motel to motel. Robyn witnessed a crime and the trial is coming up but she has a setback. There is a small boo boo when she runs away from a safe house and loses her memory. Now Slade is going to have to keep her safe and let her traumatic accident run its course and hope that her memory returns before the trial. But that is not it there was someone that she remembered right before her accident and this is going to be something that she needs to remember very quickly. They are going to be on their own because not only are the local police department in on the crime but there is someone in the FBI office that is feeding them intel. This was a thrill seeker story and their journey to happily ever after is going to be great once they can finally capture all the criminals and she gets the news that she will not have to go into Witness Protection Program.
I loved ❤ this book's storyline. I loved ❤ the action in this story. I loved ❤ the Christian theme in this story. I loved ❤ Robyn's character. I loved ❤ Slade's character. I loved ❤ the ending Awesome job Ms. Scott.
"Hiding His Holiday Witness" is a Christian romantic suspense novel. It's the fourth book in a series but works as a stand alone. The suspense was created by the attacks on Robyn and the uncertainty about if she'll remember witnessing the crime in time for the trial. The first half was pure suspense: attack, run, attack, run. There was little character development since Slade didn't want to tell her anything she couldn't remember, and she had total amnesia. He admired how she dealt with this situation, though, and she was attracted to her hunky protector. It wasn't until the last half that she started remembering things and they finally tried to figure out how their location kept getting leaked to the bad guys. In my opinion, this was more like a template for a romantic suspense that needed some filling out with character development. The action was there, but a few times people did things that didn't make sense to me and the characters didn't really engage me. There was no sex or bad language.

US Marshal Slade Brooks responds to a frantic call from a woman in witness protection, to find her shaken up and having lost her memory. He and Robyn set off to stay one step ahead of the bad guys while trying to unlock her memories so that she will be able to testify against the bad guys.
A fast paced adventure full of danger and suspense. Robyn witnessed a crime and has been through a lot, I admired her for holding to her faith and bravely standing for the truth. Slade is dedicated to his job, he likes Robyn but knows that with her in witness protection it can't go anywhere.
Overall, a well written suspense with a good plot and pacing, I liked that there were moments that slowed down enough for them to get to know each other. And I think that the risks taken made sense with the plot. I liked their shared faith and Robyn's courage. A solid inspirational suspense, with excellent plot and characters!
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
I LOVE a Laura Scott book! They are well written and have good characters. Her books are full of action, suspense, true caring, and a little humor here and there. Robyn Lowry is under US Marshall guard until she can testify in a gun running case. Her safe house is exposed and she has to run for her life! She calls US Marshall, Slade Brooks, who comes to her rescue, just to find her injured, and with a loss of memory! Can he keep her safe? Will she get her memory back in time for the trial? Looking forward to Colt and Tanner getting their own stories!
Hiding His Holiday Witness by Laura Scott is a whirl-wind tale of all the challenges US Marshal Slade Brook has protecting a witness. The trouble starts when Robyn Lowry working at a furniture factory discovers a crate labeled furniture that is packed with AK-47 assault rifles and she is brought into the witness protection program. Slade discovers a leak in his home office that compromises their safe places. He teams up with two other trusted US Marshals trying to protect Robyn a key witness against Elan Gifford, the ruthless owner who wants to kill Robyn before she can testify at his trial starting in a few days. Just when Slade thinks Robyn is safe she is betrayed by some of her own family members. This was a fun book with a lot of James Bond type action – a good read.
Robyn Lowry is in a safe house when she hears a noise outside. She goes to investigate and can't find the US Marshal who is supposed to be there protecting her. Where is he? What is going on? She calls Marshall Slade Brooks and tells him she has been compromised and runs but then has an accident. Will Slade get there in time to protect Robyn? Will he be able to figure out how the bad guys found her there and keep her safe until time for trial?
Another great story. Nice rhythm and pacing. No lulls, great medical scenes. Sorry I missed you are an RN. May want to review other authors medical scenes Very distracting as a reader. Glaring. I have read your work for years. Thanks
A fast paced Christmas Suspense on the short side that will keep the reader's attention to the very last page because the reader just has to know what happened. Perfect for those readers that enjoy Christmas stories but want something with a little more bite.
A frantic call from a witness whose Colorado safe house is breached sends US Marshall Slade Brooks to Robin Lowry's side, but she does not remember him or the crime she witnessed.
I recommend this book and story. It's a mystery story. It's about a lady seeing something her boss was doing. Would she live to testify? You must read this.
I enjoyed the book very much! Tons of actions and lots of twists and turns. Definitely didn’t see the end coming. Not sure how the author kept it all straight.
