After Touya Mochizuki is struck down by a poorly aimed divine bolt of lightning, God wants to make it up to him by giving him a new life in an unfamiliar world! And to sweeten the deal…Touya even gets to take his phone with him! Not only does he receive a huge boost to his physical and magical abilities, he’s now got a ton of info about his new home at his fingertips. With his trusty smartphone in hand, he sets off for the nearest town to begin his adventure!
God accidentally kills Touya Mochizuki and by way of apology, offers to resurrect Touya in a different world (since he's already dead in his original one). Touya's only request is that his smartphone comes too and God is so glad that Touya's taking this so well that he gives him some stat boosts.
Cut to the new world where Touya makes immediate friends with a bunch of the locals, shows off some new found physical abilities, and finds out he can do every type of magic. Basically, God made him OVER POWERED AS FUCK!
What follows is Touya moseying through a new world with new friends, doing miraculous deeds left and right. It's like That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime but with no learning curve for the hero and next to 0 drama or conflict. Yeah, Touya gets in a fight, but he immediately whoops their asses. Basically, it's kinda boring. BUT! This is the first volume, so I'm willing to give it another chance.
Slice of life stories give me warm fuzzy feelings.
This teenager dies and goes to another world, where he finds himself with overpowered abilities. He asks God to allow him to use a smartphone there. Along the way, Touya uses his abilities to help people and stuff.
Thanks for reading my review, and see you next time.
This a uniquely perfect manga series to hop on if you enjoy fun calm and OP characters with a consistent flow of character development and just whole hearted adventure.
This first volume like the rest of the series is a very quick read which is always great for me personally. Straight to the point and filled with underlying humor and magic enriched adventure this is a major recommend for anyone looking for a fast paced down to earth action adventure sitcom style read!!
Total power fantasy, and not in an interesting way. The main character is gifted with seemingly endless and boundless talents in the first few pages, and it seems like the rest of the book will just be him figuring out the various ways that he's the best. There are a few funny lines, but overall it's kind of dull.
Excellent beginning it follows the novel fairly close. We’ll have to see what happen in the next book because what follows was skipped over in the anime but covered in quite a bit of detail in the novel.
This was fun! I liked his abilities (though he is able to do that much it never felt too much), I loved the use of his smartphone (not original but still a fun addition), I liked the characters we met along the way, and the world seems fun.
A really nice easy read. There isn't anything that makes this series stand out (I've watched the anime) but I really like it, I van relax with it. Plus the characters are all really nice!
