Zach is a hard business man but when he meets Liv, sparks fly and he seems to soften. What will happen when his next project has him tearing down the woman’s shelter Liv works at? Can they get past this? Fast-paced read with plenty of drama, suspense and steamy chemistry. The story is entertaining with plenty of emotion. I liked it.

Broken by C.C. Piper is my first read by this author. It is book 10 in A Dark Billionaire Romance series. The tie in for these books revolves around "The Wish Maker." She's a woman who finds billionaires the perfect mate for a price. She is quite a mystery and this is a unique way to pull all the books together.
In Broken, Liv (Olivia Granger) comes to NY to help a women & children's shelter survive. However she finds out when she arrives that the shelter will be closed and the property sold at the end of the week. To Liv shelters helped her to survive when she had nothing else. Keeping these places going is her lifeblood. At the shelter she meets a volunteer who goes by "The Wish Maker."
Zach Wright, is the CEO of his company Steel Coeus (great name for the company by the way), a multi-billion dollar technology company. Zach spends all his time working at office, making his company more and more successful. He is losing himself a little more every day. Zach is ruthless when it comes to those who come up against him in business.
The Wish Maker wants to set Zach up with his perfect girl. When Zach meets Liv he is totally enraptured but unsure as to what these feelings mean. Liv stands up to him, she's feisty, fun and alive. She seems to love and laugh and the perfect woman to teach Zach there is more to life than business. Zach and Liv have a lot of chemistry but are they able to reveal their true self.
This is the crux of the story. The plot however digs deeper into the people behind the masks that they have cultivated. Why did they develop them? It is fun to see how Liv makes Zach understand what is important. He in turn is able to support Liv in ways she has never known.
This story reads quickly but it held my attention. Zach and Liv were able to relax around each other pretty quickly even though their scars run pretty deep. This was the only point I didn't think quite fit the characters' personalities. I do realize though that this couple only had a week before Liv would be off on her next adventure. In the end I am glad the characters were able to find a compromise, never giving up who they truly were but seeing the world a little differently because of their partner. I will be picking up more from this author.

Who is really Broken?
Broken is the tenth book in The Billionaire's Secret Club series and this story is about Zach Wright and Olivia Granger. I have really enjoyed each of the books in this series and Broken is another addictive addition to the series about The Wish Maker who makes matches for the billionaires of NYC.
Zach and Liv are both broken in their own way, he because he is not really living his life other than working to make his already wildly successful company more successful and she because she is still scarred by her past. But when The Wish Maker matches them they soon find that the sum of them together heals the broken pieces of their souls and makes them so much more than they were individually. But as with all great romances their journey to a HEA is not without more than a few bumps along the way. These include miscommunications, jumping to conclusions, more drama than you could want with some suspense added in and a whole lot of steamy hot chemistry sparking between Liv and Zach. It seems The Wish Maker has made a match that will either be wildly successful or will explode in the most spectacular way.

More Wish Maker magic!!
Liv travels constantly assisting various non-profits along the way. She is doing “good”, but that leaves her with many acquaintances and few friends. Zach has built himself up from nothing into a billionaire. He only has time for work. People are usually around for what they can get from him.
When these two people are setup by the Wish Maker it really is magical. Liv has no idea who he is, and challenges him. They have some pretty big roadblocks to manage – but it makes for entertaining, emotional and romantic reading at its best!!

This novel was okay. I am not a a fan of the "Wish Maker" series as they all follow very similar storylines and plots with the Wish Maker being center focus. Liv and Zach had to work through some things; her childhood being much different from his. I don't buy into the Wish Maker finding the perfect woman for you (for a hefty fee) blah blah blah and everyone getting their HEA. The book had it's moments, the writing wasn't bad and the characters had merit, but this series is not my favorite.
Fantasy has it's place in fiction, I just didn't expect this type of fantasy in a book advertised as "A Dark Billionaire Romance.

The book started decent with Liv starting a new job, meeting workaholic Zach and introducing him to try new things. However, when she finds out Zach is going to tear down the building where she works at a women's shelter, it is the beginning of where I lost interest. Liv lashes out at Zach without listening to what he has to say. And I do mean she physically assaults him. She works at a center for abused women, but finds it okay to hit a man. When he then tries again to reason with her, a group of protesters assault him with rocks. Found the book to be extremely hypocritical.

Billionaire Zach has made his empire by tearing down others, when he meats Olivia their attraction is instant but soon Zach will have to choose between business and personal as he is to tear down the shelter Olivia works at for abused women. this is a well written read with an emotional and engaging story and well thought out characters.

I really enjoyed this book. The Wish Maker was right when she said that Liv was the perfect woman for Zach. It was great to see Zach loosen up and live a little. This fast-paced story was well written as it was emotional and entertaining with plenty of drama mixed in.
This is my first read by this author and I can't wait to go back and read about the other couples that The Wish Maker matched.

Broken is book ten in The Billionaire's Secret Club series and is Zach and Liv's story. Zach is a businessman who doesn't have time for relationships. Liv works at a woman's shelter, the same shelter Zach is about to tear down for a new project. Will his feelings for Liv stop him from doing his job? This is a well written story with plenty of steam, well developed characters, and a great storyline. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Broken by C.C. Piper is book 10 in The Billionaire's Secret Club Series. This is the story of Olivia Granger 'Liv" and Zach Wright. Zach is a business man who main focus is that even when it comes to a women's shelter until he meets Liv. Liv seems to bring some feelings to this all business man. Enjoyed it and will be looking for more from this author.

This was an incredible read. This is Zach and Liv’s story. This book will be read in one sitting. It will keep you interested all the way thru. The Wish Maker is making dreams come true. Looking forward to seeing what the wish maker will do next. Love this whole series. Definitely a 5 star read

This is the story about Zach and Liv, told in the dual, first person point of view which is always a deal breaker for me. I read this one in one sitting, because I was transfixed by their story.

This series is getting better and better!! I love these short stories and the characters are quite interesting. I love the small epilogues and the interconnected stories. And I definitely love the wish maker!!!

Another not so great one for the series, it wasn’t put together well and I did not enjoy how the characters interacted and it just wasn’t my cup of tea but the concept is great.
