Dem Boyz From Da Bottom 2
Part two of this emotional roller coaster picks up exactly where part one left off. Tremaine is facing the kind of charges that are the fear of every black man in America. At only seventeen years old, he has a bright future ahead of him with so many scholarship offers that he's lost count. After losing their baby brother to suicide, the Williams brothers now face losing another brother to the system. Hopefully, the truth will be revealed, and Tremaine will be free to pursue his dream of playing college ball and one day playing in the NFL. It would be a shame if a scorned woman's lies had the power to ruin this young boy's life. Taliban has been through so much hurt in his life. Raised on survival, he's used to doing everything on his own. Now that he has Sage in his life, can he put his pride aside for once and allow someone to help him? We have grown accustomed to the man uplifting the woman and have somehow disregarded the fact that the roles can be reversed, and a woman can boss up her man too. Lastly, there's Teddy. A man with a deep, dark past that causes him to have anxiety and take medication to fight off his depression. His life experiences make it difficult for him to commit to Celine and be the man she deserves. The two of them could be perfect for each other, but with perfection comes hard work. Celine is willing to put in the effort, but is Teddy willing to do the same?

Williams' boyz are progressing!
Whew this was good!
I love the way everything is progressing. The snakes are being called to the carpet and I'm here for it all. Amber's entitled azz did not need a pov. I'm glad she is getting all the smoke she deserves. Teddy is an idiot. I get that he has his issues, but I'm going to advise him to seek help cuz he moving too reckless. I hope Tremaine flourishes, we deserve to hear more of his voice. Taliban whew lawd I was in love in the first book, but the way Sage helped him boss up the mans BDE is threw the roof you hear me!!
Demitri and Jordynn, I hope y'all are handled in book 3...cuz y'all both on my last mf nerve.
Lastly I would tighten up on the editing there was a plot error around Sage's fathers anniversary party; later when she mentions it to her mother she says engagement party. There were a few times where someone is talking, but the closing quotation marks are missing to show the person is done talking. The story was still very clear and good!

We are currently learning all the secrets, and there are snakes in the grass. Very emotional and difficult issues were highlighted by the author. It involved rape (false accusation), narcotics, abuse, abandonment, molestation and suicide. These events take place in the black community. Taliban has at last achieved his goal of owning a business. Now that Sage is aware of the truth, I'm wondering of her next move. I’m confused on why Amber ass has a pov and Jordynn is a dumb bitch 🤣🤣 the slowest ever and Suki still doesn’t see how she’s the problem.

Well, the plot just keeps getting thicker and thicker!
In book 2 we watch the Williams brother continue to deal life and the new challenges they’re facing now that … 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹
Taliban is now navigating being a single father full time while still trying to do everything for every one. But now .. he has Sage by his side. 🥰 It was so cute watching these two navigate the newness of their relationship. With everything going on, it’s clear that these two are really trying to break down those walls for one another. I hope they make it because they both deserve each other!
Tremaine is working towards graduating high school, going to college, and getting drafted to the NFL, but something goes wrong that could cost him his future. His story in this book really pissed me off because he talked about that crap and Black girls and then look what happened? Still love you, but he needed to watch his mouth about Black girls/women because who had his front and back in the end. 🙄
Teddy .. LORD HAVE MERCY! He worked my damn nerves. Teddy is off house arrest and he’s back in the streets (Hey, Montana) while trying to maintain his “relationship” with Celine after finding out some big news. Now … these two don’t need to be together because Teddy needs to truly work through his trauma and other things. 🤬Teddy finally reveals his secret and I am hoping that he gets the help he needs. That toxic masculinity shit has to go, but I understand why he is the way he is.
Sage is finally working on getting over Apollo now that her and Taliban have kicked things up a notch. But will this last since the whole hood think Lo’s girl is off limits? 🫣 But when it comes to Taliban, my girl does not play about her man. What she did for him for his birthday really made me smile. 🥰🫶🏽
Also, Demtri, Suki, and Jordynn, y’all count your days because I hope that in book 3 y’all get dealt with. Call these 3 stooges the delusional triplets!!!
Shout out to auntie Alecia though. Love her.
Book 2 was good, but again I felt like certain things were repetitive and too descriptive at times. I also noticed a mishap with the right name being used when talking about a specific brother during a section. I’m still enjoying this series and cannot wait to see how it ends in book 3. 👀👀👀

Sage & Taliban
Another page turner. Sage and Taliban were so cute and I loved how she supported him and spoke life into him. He worked so hard to take care of everyone else and I’m happy that he has someone that could see the greatness in him.
I’m so sick of Suki deadbeat mama a** I don’t know what to do!! Every time a chapter came up for her- I was instantly annoyed. I hate the way she carried herself as a mom all because she wanted someone with some money. Now look at your life and you’ve ruined your bond with your son. No sympathy for her from me!
And Jordynn - girl I been waiting on your mess to come out. The cliffhanger got me- off to part 3!!

First off, I'm happy for Taliban. Life was kicking his butt but he didn't let his issues deter him from accomplishing his dream. I love him and Sage together she is an amazing supporter and encourager. With friends like Jordynn and Demetri, who needs enemies. Jordynn is trifling on so many levels and Demetri is delusional asf. I hope he gets what's coming to him. And i dont blame Sage for pulling out the blicky on Jordyn. I’m happy for Tremaine and I hope he continues to move forward in the next book without palm colored ppl. Teddy and Celine need therapy 😩

This series was an emotional roller coaster. The author discussed or featured very heavy emotional topics. It was suicide, molestation, abandonment,, drugs and mention of rape. Well this was Vastly different from her other works of fiction, it held an equally important role. It not only entertained but educated readers. Unfortunately the characters will be relatable to a lot of us in many ways and I hope they will also serve as a lesson for those who are not in similar situations to be aware of in those who aren’t a part of their lives.

I'm pleasantly surprised by this book. It's about the Williams Brothers. Perfect title the book is perfectly written. The story is intriguing the struggle these brothers having endured. This is an absolutely wonderful series well worth the read.

Well well well I'm so glad Sage found out about Jordyn, but it hurts me that she had to find out like that 💔 I know that had to break her heart. Demetri is blowing me because dude you're really a snake and trying to make demands by sending them young dudes after Taliban. Speaking of Taliban I'm so happy for his fine self and his buisness because he manifested it and now it's his reality, and it's about to blow up. That man deserves everything coming to him including the little bundle of joy that Sage is carrying. It's crazy how whit people are like Amber really thought she had it figured out, but didn't have a d*** clue. I was so distraught at the fact that she tried to ruin his life and career with those false rape accusations smh. Now she's suffering and i love it 🤷🏽♀️. Taliban's baby mother Suki is getting her karma, although I don't agree with Eli putting hands on her she's getting treated like this because she's not a mother to her son. Great read ❤

The story has good bones, but my gosh is it too wordy. I don’t know if this author is super descriptive or if she’s trying to achieve a word count, but this story could’ve been shortened and still enjoyable.

If “what’s done in the dark will come to light” were a book, it would be book 2 of this series. The secrets are coming to light and consequences are being handed out like candy on Halloween. There were some high highs and some low down snakes in the grass in this continuation. I have faith the Williams’ brothers and Sage are going to come out on top in the conclusion to this series.
My reasons for taking away one star:
📝 Just like book 1, there was a lot going on in this book and a lot of difficult situations depicted. There were a lot of POVs (at least one that wasn’t even necessary) and storylines so you had to stay alert to keep up with everything that’s happening. I’m not a fan of books that have too many POVs and storylines. Having to keep track of so many storylines and topics in one book feels distracting and takes away from the essence of the book.
📝 The author switches between present and past tense in paragraphs, which disrupts the flow for me.
📝 The author has the characters speak to the audience, which I’m not too keen on as well.
📝 Miscellaneous grammatical and technical issues that should have been caught by an editor or proofreader. For example, in Amber’s POV (again, so unnecessary, but I digress) it is stated that Taahid was filing a lawsuit, but the author meant Tremaine.

Must read.
Good read i would recommend. I love Sage and Taliban. She has faith in him and is pushing him to make his dream a reality. He has never had someone believe in him he always been the giver caring for his brothers. Im so happy it worked for Maine. He didnt deserve that because he didnt want to be with that girl. Im so glad everyone is on the samw page and making them pay by hitting them pockets. I wish the youngest brother didnt die but i hope it makes the other finally admit his truth. I also want Taliban to tell the brothers what he found out. I hate that they keep things from each other even with that fact they dont want the burden to be someone elses they are stronger together. Finally Demetri swearing he was loyal to apollo but was the biggest snake aside from Jordyn. Im glad Taliban told them young boys that hopefully one of them pays attention. Now back to Jordyn im sad sage found out the way she did and im waiting for part 3 cause she was ready to act a fool but i hope she remembers she is pregnant. I know its the depth of the betrayal that has her reacting right now.

Omg what a fucked up wait to find out your best friend secret like that. Jordynn how could you do that then held that shit in for 20 plus years. What kind of best friend are you. Guilt couldn’t have been eating at you at all. I don’t know how people can’t see what much of a snake 🐍 Demetri is. Amber needs a big ass lesson, playing with someone freedom like that. It’s sad we see shit like that on a daily basis in life. Many black young men lost their lives and freedom that way. Suki is a sad ass excuse for a woman and mother. I don’t know why she was surprised the way her son was acting with her. Teddy I hope he gets it together for the sake of his baby. I love love Taliban and Sage! They were couple goals FRFR! Taliban is stubborn and prideful, but Sage was just right for him and to help him get over his pride and hurt!
Sage is a boss and she handles her business well and she looks out for Taliban!
Teddy IMHO will need counseling because of the trauma he experienced as a child! Shame make people hide stuff and he was suffering silently, but he has to understand that he should not be ashamed because of other people actions!
A woman scorned is dangerous and Tremaine life flashed before his eyes and they should bankrupt those people of the lies and injustice! Lock 🔒 her up like he would have been locked for because of her lies!
Finally Jordynn snake behind lies came to fruition. How could you say this is your best friend and you with her so called man since he met her! Just disgraceful!

Jordynn gets no sympathy I’m sorry and just like Apollo’s mother told her she spent years trying to get chosen and it never happened. Demetri is definitely a wolf is sheep’s clothing, I can’t wait for him to get exactly what he deserved. Amber that heffa pissed me off so bad but I really hope that Tremaine learned his lesson. Celine I like her and I hope she learns her worth Teddy has his own demons that he’s fighting.Suki is the worst kind of mother and has the nerve to blame Taliban for their son not wanting to be bothered. Omg! Taliban and Sage are the cutest couple. Jordynn and Demetri are so grimy and scandalous in their own way. I'm so glad that Tremaine was about to get the truth told so that he could be there in signing day and go off to college. It's crazy how Suki still chose Eli over her precious, intelligent son. I'm so glad that Sage saw Taliban worth and his heart not the fact that he was broke and was not living in the area of her means. Teddy, what is there to say about Teddy, he needs to really seek some mental help before Celine has their baby. I really believe that if he can get some help that Celine and him can raise their baby in a two parent healthy household. So can't wait to see what's going to happen in the next installment of this series!

Part 2
Things looking up for some and not so much for others. I still can't believe Jordynn because that is just crazy and wrong on every level possible. Now Demetri is taking this thing to far but Taliban ain't backing down and I love that. I love Sage and Taliban for real. The way the love is admirable for sure, they didn't have to go though something to get their happy ending. No judgement no cheating and it's something we all want. I need more of Celine but it's because I know she need some support dealing with Teddy or not dealing with him. Glad Tremaine on his ish as well!!!

I just love Sage & Taliban. Sage is a true definition of a rider. They both add to each other and it's a wonderful example of black love. Glad everything worked out for Tremaine and Amber needs to be made an example of. Celine needs to distance herself from Teddy until he gets some help and hopefully he gets it soon. His long-term pain is making him toxic and I'm rooting for his healing. Suki is going to learn the hard way not to put a man over your child and she can kick rocks if she's thinking about getting back with Taliban . I can't wait until part 3.

Let’s start with that ending. Jordyn’s secret is exposed and Sage finally learned that she had a snake for a friend. Now just to expose that other snake, Dimitri. Man, I couldn’t put this book down and I’m looking forward to reading the finale. Ms. Diamond really wrote this book with such skills that I felt like I was on the sidelines watching everything play out. That court scene was amazing. But when Amber made the statement,”I thought that my white privilege would keep me safe”, I wanted to knock her head off. I loved Sage’s and Taliban’s relationship and can’t wait to see them grow together.

Brotherly Love
Oh wow this was a Excellent read from beginning to end a must read!
Where do I start? This book brought out so many emotions, I loved everything about it, Taliban was the oldest out of his four brothers, trying to make ends meet Taliban had to step up and raise his younger siblings after his dad went to jail and his mother was a drug addict. Fast forward tragedy strikes that will rock the brothers world.
Sage (Sah-Jae) dealing with the death of her fiance Apollo she don't know what she is going to do without him, she never thought that she would be a single parent raising her daughter.
Tragedies can bring a treasures to True Love.

SECRETS REVEALED
This book is sooo good. First off, I'm happy for Taliban. Although he's had to endure some pain and heartache, he didn't let living in the hood deter him from accomplishing his dream. I love him and Sage together she is an amazing supporter and encourager. With friends like Jordynn and Demetri, who needs enemies. Jordynn is trifling on so many levels and Demetri is just grimy. I hope he gets what's coming to him. And i dont blame Sage for what she was about to do to Jordynn. What's done in the dark definitely comes to light, so how will these characters move forward after all has been revealed. Can't wait to read who comes out on top in part 3.

Dem Boyz gotta love them
Loving this series, the brothers are the epitome of being their brother keepers! Sage is a strong woman inside and out and perfect for Taliban, I'm happy that she found out about her snake of a best friend! Demetrius need to meet his demise. I'm enjoying the family dynamics and how everyone's role is nicely placed throughout the book. The level of growth shown throughout the book is just as nice to see, regardless of some of the things that have taken place in the story, it all makes sense! Can't wait for part 3

Nice very nice
This series is gonna be lit. My boy didn't play, be beat all four of them. My boy teddy got his karma he was doing that girl wrong for her to snap. And amber was a peace of work, I don't feel like she is going to get a slap on the wrist. Sage best friend ain't shit. But she's bout to lose the best thing that was in her life cause of her jealousy. U did good on yet another book and I'm looking forward to reading more of them. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and while waiting on the next book to read
