I think I may have enjoyed this second book even more than the first. It was still smutty and hot but really enjoyed the way the author took the time to delve more into the characters and their personalities as well as their dynamics with each other. The push and pull between the two girls seem very realistic to me. I like how the author didn't portray the development of this relationship as just unicorns and rainbows and easy, she shows the difficult parts, the complexities of human emotion. I really enjoyed this and am excited for book 3.

Fun

This book was fun, wild and absolutely hilarious. The characters are all well-sketched and it's a fascinating ride as we get to know them better and their relationship progresses. This book is the most fun I've had in a long time.

I'm so excited! DEVIOUS, the second book in the CURIOUS series, should be out tomorrow! I really fell in love with Hailey this book. Until Amazon gets the Look Inside up, here's a quick peek:

OK, if you thought I was embarrassed sharing last time, you have no idea.

Fairy tale endings and Happily Ever Afters always fade to black at that romantic first kiss, the declaration of love, or in my case, getting together with my impossible crush and his girlfriend.
And now I know why.

It's because you want it to go on forever, but you don't know how.

It's because even as you kiss them both goodnight in the dark neighborhood street in front of your house, your thoughts are full of giggle-shriek levels of terror someone might catch you, know what you've done together.

It's because waking up the next morning to the blaring alarm, you are happy for a moment. But then you realize you've already hit snooze three times. And you're going to be late. And OMIGOD, you were in a threesome.

Fairy tales end in the night because nobody knows how to deal the next morning.

This installment of our lust triangle is mostly dealing with the repercussions (i.e. jealousy) from the throuple encounter at the end of book 1. The relationship devolves to Hailey & Ella and Hailey & Jack. At least given the Hailey only PoV... and Ella seems very unhappy about it all.

This review is for the entire series.

After the first book, I wasn't sure I could read a series about a teenage love triangle. Yet after I started the second book, decided to give this series a chance and ended up reading all five books. At first, it was like this story was way too young for me, but it would have not worked if the characters were any older. All that said, these are very grown-up teenagers that trying to develop their sexual identities.

The five books cover one summer, so there was room for character development which I liked. Although, I would have liked a little more development of the relationship between Ella and Alison. The entire time, I was like why are you putting up with this angst? But overall I the books kept me engaged even though the fourth book was a little slow. I thought the fifth book recovered and finished the series strong.

I thought the erotica was well-written. Of course, with young adults, sex is at every opportunity you get. Yet it didn't seem out of place or forced. If anything I thought detailed sex senses were used a little too sparingly. If you looking for a good story of young people finding each other and making an alternative relationship work. This is a good series.

Disclaimer: I got this book for free on Kindle. I participated in stuff your kindle day where I got a bunch of romance books for free, roughly 2,000 books. I normally do not read romance books but I wanted to try the genre. I typically read fantasy, science fiction, biographies, and classics so this is way out of my comfort zone. My plan is to draw a book at random without reading the summary, title, and avoiding looking at the cover. As long as the book is not too graphic for me or leads into something uncomfortable, I will be attempting to finish as many of these books as I can in 2024. I understand that many of these books will likely not be top tier but I am hoping that I can learn something about the romance genre as a whole and figure out if any types of books in this genre are for me.

My Review: The world has decided I will read polygamy and like it. This book and the last both have that in common. This book, unlike the last, never had my attention. This felt like a weird romance where it never made sense why the main character had a crush on the other two outside of they were "hot". Its not for me.

This is the second book in the curious series. I’m excited to continue onto the third.
It follows Hailey, Ella, and Jack.
Spoilers ahead.
Hailey gets fired from lifeguarding at Ella’s family’s country club. And for the most part I did enjoy the plot. One thing that frustrated me (and this was a negative in the last as well) Hailey doesn’t really know how to convey her feelings. This leads to misunderstandings, hurt feelings, and confusion for the trio.
There’s a subplot with another character named Theo and I felt sorry for him. I felt he was treated more as an accessory to cause conflict, and it really made me sympathize.
However Hailey’s refusal to communicate with anyone is so frustrating from a readers perspective and I hope this is the last book where it’s a heavy point of conflict.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

I really enjoyed the first one in this series, and with the premise set up, I was excited to see where this went. Some aspects of this book, I loved - the character development of getting to know each character better and more of their personality, really helped me connect with the book.

I also loved the addition of the drama.

However, I do feel as though the relationship development took a step back with this one, things which we'd already established in book one returned. It just felt a little flat compared to the first one but no doubt I'll be carrying on with the series.

This is still cute, but as I suspected, the HS hijinks have become annoying to me. That was a long time ago for me, so it has less appeal now.

That said, this series is a fun exploration of teen angst (18+), combined with some pretty hot sex.

I won't continue this series, but if you can remember your high-school summers, you might enjoy it a lot.

After reading some reviews, I was excited for this one, but it turns out it was too dramatic for my liking. Ella was dislikable, and I had to remind myself that she's an 18/19-year-old who probably is still exploring her sexuality. I wish we had some of her POVs.

2.75⭐️ this was a book I got for free during a stuff your kindle day.

The only real plot is rich girl-Ella who has bf and is maybe bi, but definitely bi curious. Controls bf-Jack and girl-Hailey (threatens their jobs if they do anything she doesn’t want, sometimes after telling them to do something then changing her mind) who she initiated a threesome with. They all suck but using your power and wealth to treat people like puppets sucks worse.

I should probably read the descriptions before getting every book listed on free days. 🙄

There’s a lot of bullshit and a few smutty scenes that are MFF. not worth paying for it but if you can get it for free then maybe you’ll enjoy

This was entertaining at times but I got tired of the drama. Also I really disliked Ella who was such a selfish character.

I got this book on stuff your kindle day ! It was good nothing to right home about but it picked up directly after an event so I was confused the whole time like why are we not getting this info but then I realized it was the second book after I was more than halfway through :(

The character dynamics in this book are so interesting and that’s why I enjoyed it so much. The way the minds work are cool. Could’ve been developed more

The spelling and grammatical errors in this really distracted from the story. The smut was good. But the story was just subpar.

Needed to see where this story went after completing Curious. I think the single POV in this book still made it a struggle for me to fully commit to understand all invested parties, but it was still an enjoyable story and I felt more invested for Hailey. I wanted to understand what was Ella's play, where was her anger coming from?

Guess I'll have to keep reading into book 3.

So much better than the first book. The character development is real and I love seeing each of them trying to accept this new relationship.

This book picks up from after they all have sex and now they’re moving on. We see that the girlfriend is pretty dominant of the mfc and that she’s very jealous of the mfc and her boyfriend. The girlfriend does not want to accept that she likes the mfc but the mfc is all accepting. The boyfriend and mfc are all for each other and finally fuck AT THE END OF THE BOOK. grrrr. There’s a guy that likes the mfc and keeps trying to get with her but she’s obviously not having it. Towards the end of the book, they have a party and play hide and seek and while they’re looking (or something) the guy calls the mmc out on cheating on the gf. The two girls run away and the guy runs after them and they end up fucking❤️. Then they leave but the girlfriend is mad that the other two fucked.

i need the third book but can’t find anywhere to download it🥲

This was not my favorite book but it was a nice easy read. It tells a story of high school/colleged aged characters and a shared experience between the three. Small amount of spice.
