Battle Pope ran for over 2 years along with other Funk-o-Tron published books such as InkPunks and Double Take.

In July of 2002, Robert's first work for another company began, with a 4-part SuperPatriot series for Image, along with Battle Pope backup story artist Cory Walker. Robert's creator-owned projects followed shortly thereafter, including Tech Jacket, Invincible and Walking Dead.

MAN I love The Walking Dead. This one was some ggooooooooddd shit! A lot of juicy stuff happened and it did a great job of setting things up for the next book which I think will be a little crazy and I can't wait. The characters are great as always, there were some really excellent interactions and developments. The art was awesome. Just everything was great. Can't wait to read the next one!

In the wake of the Whisperers "Border," Rick sets plans in motion to deal with these new enemies. Of course, he forgets to plan for Negan....

Post read comment: Omg...Negan. lol

*Book source ~ Library

From Goodreads:
After a devastating encounter with the Whisperers, Rick must rally the communities to take action. But have they already reached their breaking point?
Collects issues 145 through 156.

After the ending of book 12 I was like, Holy Shit! Oh, no, you didn’t! I thought for sure book 13 would see the communities going to war. But Rick is mostly right in his actions in this book. And the people who lost family, while justified in their feelings, are not justified in their actions. Wtf?! There is tension aplenty in this book, but not a lot of action and no worries about losing anyone of importance this time out. And, omg, Negan. Negan, Negan, Negan…what are you up to now?

Well before diving into this one I had to re-read the others (of course) and damn I forgot how much I love this series. This volume once again does not disappoint. In the wake of the Whisperers' border creation which devastated the communities at the end of volume 12, war seemed almost inevitable. And yet Rick somehow manages to mostly avoid it by appealing to the civilised side of those communities, but not everyone is happy with the approach and dark clouds are gathering on the horizon for all of them, the Whisperers included. And that's without Negan stirring the pot as he does so so well. Once again Kirkman shows that the zombies aren't the only monsters to be found or feared and that those you live among can be just as dangerous. Of course the illustrations are stunning, capturing the raw emotion of the stories and characters and the chiling reality of living in a post apocalyptic world.

This is a very solid volume that doesn't drag at any point. There's a lot transition going on here as the various groups try to recover from the devastating events at the end of the last volume and Rick attempts to reclaim his ability to lead. There's a rather interesting turn of events at the very end that sets up a potentially game-changing shift in the relationship between Rick and Negan, and I like the possibilities this opens up. This volume definitely left me in suspense over what will happen next.

This is a solid entry in the continuing story and I would give it even more stars if they got rid of Negan and his need to use the word fuck in every fucking scene that motherfucker appears in. See, that was pretty annoying and absolutely fucking pointless way to get my point across. But seriously, if they could use the word "fuck" as a replacement for every other word in the English dictionary, the writers would definitely do that for Negan. I get it, he is an evil asshole and the society has in some way lost it's hold on the norm which makes him not give a fuck. Give it a rest, will ya?

The first half was a tad slow for me, but the second half takes off and it ends quite unexpectedly but very satisfying!

Wow! Another installment in the WD world. I read a lot and the downside of that is that I rarely get surprised. I did not see this ending coming. I can't wait to get to the next book. Thank goodness I already have it. I just want to reiterate how great the writing and the artwork is, no wonder it continues to be popular on paper as well as on the screen. Thank you to Kirkman and all who bring this story to us. I am thrilled to continue being a fan of the Walking Dead in all its forms.

ACK! IT ENDED AT THE MOST DRAMATIC MOMENT, AND I DON'T HAVE THE NEXT BOOK.

HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO ME?

And Neegan. Oh, Neegan. How do I love thee? So much that it's of concern, considering you are so terrible, and I also absolutely hate you. Someone may need to have me checked, in case I'm unstable and need an intervention, as clearly this is not acceptable grown up behavior.

WOW, The Whisperers really are a bunch of sick fucking weirdos! I dig it though. And Negan I can't believe I'm saying this...but maybe I'm starting to not hate him so much.

On a side note, I'm still bummed out that Andrew Lincoln is leaving the TV show. How are you going to have The Walking Dead without Rick Grimes?

Well, this was a good read. Onto book fourteen!

¡WOW! Que de sorpresas, el ultimo comic me sorprendio, pero en el fondo siempre espere eso. . . solo que me da mas intriga todavía, porque claro siempre debe haber un porque y por como actuan algunos personajes nos deben muchos porque's.

This was a reread for me but it still had the affect on me like it did the first time! So good! Love the interplay between characters. Sometimes it’s hard to keep track of every single character but still I enjoy this and keep coming back to it

Solidly entertaining. The first half is rife with tension as everyone is reeling from the previous installment's brutal closing attack by the Whisperers. It's interesting to see Rick at such a loss in finding the best course of action, and how as a result the group teeters perilously close to implosion. There is a great sequence where the news is delivered about the individuals slaughtered where a series of vignettes are featured instead of Rick giving his typical big speech; the artwork speaks volumes and is a nice change of pace. The second half contains a huge event I figured was inevitable but thought would happen much sooner; this leads to a hilarious montage and will provide an unpredictable dynamic for the foes moving forward in the series.

After the brutal conclusion to book twelve I was wondering where this series was headed. Alexandria wants revenge on the whisperers for taking out twelve of their people but Rick wants to formulate a plan which makes everyone hate him and call him a coward. Meanwhile, Neegan escapes, Eugene starts talking to some mysterious person through the radio, and Carl is getting down with Lydia. The conclusion was seriously badass and I didn't see it coming. I love this series and I already can't wait until book fourteen is released!!

This was one of the solid collections. Alexandria is reeling from retaliation from the Whispers. Rick is trying to get his group to show some restraint but it doesn’t end up working out as well as he hoped. Carl is trying to break free of his father and become more independent. Negan is back in the picture and in an uncertain way. I loved the governor story line but I’m really enjoying the Negan, probably because it’s now part of the show. Not a lot of filler and establishing of a storyline on this one.

I will be honest not much happen after the big event at the end of the previous book.
I would have expected the plot to move along a lot further.

All the feels! All the fighting and gore and plot twists! It's so good that you need to read it as soon as possible.
