Q&A: Where is Moon Lake, Indiana? The fictional Midwestern village is located about 15 minutes south of South Bend, Indiana. According to fictional legend, a natural portal between “Reality” and “The Spirit World” formed when The Creator placed a bear statue where the Native American Indians and the first settlers of Moon Lake held an enormous celebration in The Creator’s honor. Since that time ghosts, spirits, angels, and witches have been able to travel easily between the two worlds. Each time a traveler passes through the portal, a piece of magic clings to their soul and deposits itself in the surrounding area. Sounds good, right? Lucia Kuhl is the author of thirty midlife paranormal cozy mysteries. She believes every story needs at least one ghost, maybe a witch, or possibly an angel. A pet is always good. Talking forest animals are even better. Oh, and a hint of romance while headstrong, opinionated characters mingle.
A few of her women sleuths carry guns. Some only need magic. And her characters never miss a chance to dance. Lucia enjoys exploring tough subjects and lighting them in humorous ways to lessen the sting while showcasing their root issues. Her books contain no sex, strong violence, or profanity.

Wonderful. Another Collins takes centre stage. As a reporter she has had many a close shave but none closer than the one that killed a man. This is brought to the forefront when someone starts attacking farmers, using arson and the common denominator is her. Is someone stalking her and why. Add in the fact that she still has feelings for her first love (who is now a widower) and her fear of commitment or is it really a fear that she will be let down again. A great read and the bobcat is a real winner. Bossy and a bit of a know it all but a great one to have in your cobber when faced with danger. Remember these really aren't standalone as one book leads to another except for book 1.
