This is a smooth, low angst second chance book..

I enjoyed most of the book, and I’ve always liked Rey’s writing and this one is no different in terms of writing style.

Sutton returns to her hometown to take care of her dad and meets her first love after 10 years, Kate. Throughout the whole book I kept wondering why Sutton is putting up with Kate though :) I guess this happens when you have such a likable character like Sutton and not so much like Kate.

For me, the supporting characters make a huge difference in any book, so I really liked the fact that there was a representation of a transgender character, Bryce , who for me was a great addition to the supporting characters. I did get a bit annoyed with Harper, Kate’s daughter, who seemed to be at least 10 years above her age.

As I mentioned earlier, the writing was very good, the characters were likable. But my main issue was from the start, I was VERY annoyed with the conflict that led to their break up. (Unfortunately this will require a spoiler so I won’t be mentioning it much). And because of that conflict, I felt Kate was being very unreasonable and unfair.

I would still recommend this book because I did enjoy it. Even though it was sometimes a bit too slow for my taste. And again, me being annoyed with the conflict is part of why this book touched me because in real life, this conflict exists and people still give excuses for their lousy actions..

“I received and ARC for an honest review”.

My rating is a 3.5 rounded up to 4.

Mixed feelings about this one.

Okay. Let's just call a spade, a spade. Kate cheated on Sutton when she was 18 and Harper is a product of infidelity. Kate is not a bad person. She had her reasons and she made a mistake. So I don't see why this had to be sugarcoated. Kate cheated and Sutton left, plain and simple. And I really don't like it that Sutton gets blamed for leaving. I mean, come on. Exactly how many people would stick around for this? And realistically speaking, it was probably a good thing she didn't too because it's one thing to face the pain of betrayal 10 years later. It's an entirely different story when memories are fresh. And Kate is all "I was impulsive" and "I'll never regret Harper's existence". Yeah, whatever.

You know, it made the world of a difference that Harper is a pleasant kid, really. Because regardless of how decent a person Kate is (which she is) or how sweet Kate and Sutton are together (which they are), I would have hated this book if Harper turned out to be nightmare. But Harper and Sutton got along so well and I enjoyed the interactions and private moments between them.

And Sutton is so great about everything. And so sweet, I don't even know what to say...

3.25 stars. There is a lot to love about this book and for the most of the time I had a good time reading it. This was the first book I read by Rey. It’s a charming, low angst book with characters that have a lot going for them. Unfortunately, the ending left me with a bitter taste and dampened my overall enjoyment.

In this second chance romance Sutton returns home to take care of her father when he has to undergo a double knee replacement. Ten years earlier Sutton broke up with Kate, the love of her life, left town and never returned. Now, back in town for three months, it’s inevitable to meet Kate and her daughter Harper and they find that they both haven’t forgotten each other.

The book is written in the third person with POVs of Sutton and Kate, but you get to know Sutton a bit better than Kate. I loved Sutton, she’s a dreamer, a slightly nerdy and a bit shy butch. I always enjoy a butch character that doesn’t fall in the rather stereotypical, super confident, player type. Kate is confident, sweet and adores her daughter Harper. From the secondary characters, I adored Bryce, Kate’s trans brother. He was a highlight of the book for me and I could easily read more about him. Harper was somewhat wise beyond her years if you ask me, the comebacks and questions/insights at exactly the right time started annoying me every now and then, also the fact that she immediately adores Sutton felt a bit too convenient, but the interactions between Sutton and Harper were very cute.

The breakup of Sutton and Kate is quite prominently presented in the book. I was fine with it, I mean, it’s in the past and they were both very young. However, the conflict at the end in part revolves around what happened during their breakup (and how they apparently still feel about it), and I just could not find it in myself to feel any sympathy for Kate. She keeps blaming everything on Sutton (who accepts all the blame, she truly is too sweet), while from my point of view Sutton did not do anything wrong, not now and not in the past. Kate is not self-reflective at all, only after talking to Bryce does she decide to take a look at herself, and even then doesn’t she really acknowledge her self-centered behavior. When they finally get together after their dark moment I just didn’t feel the love from Kate’s side, which is strange because I felt it before the conflict. Honestly, I thought Sutton deserved better. There is a final chapter/epilogue, but it couldn’t make up for the feeling that had taken root in me that they do not belong together.

So, the writing and pacing was all good, and if the conflict hadn’t bothered me that much, I definitely would have rated it higher. It’s a charming and easy-going book, with a high happy family feeling, but personally I can’t really recommend it due to the conflict and how I felt afterwards. However, I have seen several reviews of people who enjoyed this book a lot, so I suggest to read some of those as well in order to decide whether this book is for you. While this was not the best fit for me, I would like to read another book by this author.

I’ve read one or two of Rey’s previous books and this is much like the others. It’s well written and is a smooth read. “You Again” is a steamy second chance romance about Sutton and Kate. They were high school loves until Sutton left to go to college while Kate still had her senior year to finish out. Now it’s 10 years later and Sutton is back in town to help her dad through his knee surgeries and rehab.

Kate never left their hometown and is now raising her 9-year-old daughter, Harper. She’s running her family’s hardware store and seems happy and content with her life. Sutton is working in Atlanta in a high paying tech job. She loves her work but otherwise finds her life dull and boring.

Kate is a strong femme character and Sutton is a soft butch, which is Rey’s go to. I really liked Sutton; she is sweet and shy although a little bit of a doormat. Kate comes across as the outgoing girl next door kind of person. And, I really enjoyed this right up until the 80% mark or so. After that, it completely fell apart for me.

I’ll put this in the spoiler tag because although it’s explained pretty early on, I don’t want anyone to get mad reading this. While this isn’t a story where anyone cheats in the current storyline, it did happen in their previous relationship. I really didn’t like how Kate never took ownership of her cheating and acted like Sutton breaking up with her (or abandoning her as she refers to it) is the bigger betrayal.

She says sleeping with person B was “stupid and impulsive” but she never admits to it being wrong or how hurtful it was to Sutton. Apparently, because it results in Harper, it wasn’t that big of a deal and Sutton should’ve just been okay with her breaking Suttons trust or their commitment? In my books, buying $300 shoes is stupid and impulsive. Sutton didn’t abandon Kate…she broke up with her, which most people would’ve also done. Somehow, all the blame for the past break up is put at Sutton’s feet and she just accepts it.

Frankly, with Kate’s attitude about it all, I would be worried she’d cheat again if Sutton ever has to leave for an extended period of time for work. They also seem to lack communication skills with one another about a lot of important things or simply jump to conclusions.

This was a disappointing read for me because I really love second chance romances. And I did love this until the cheating stuff is finally talked about. Kate’s true character comes out then and I found I just didn’t like her after all and wanted better for Sutton.

I've read a fair few books by Aurora Rey and all have been exceptionally good, this book isn't any different from her other reads, it's a good read. I love the charm that the characters seem to have and how the chemistry flows between the main characters with ease. 'You again' is about second chances and about going back home to your home town, these 2 factors made it a hit for me. I love a good second chance at romance. Although this isn't my favorite by Aurora Rey I still enjoyed it.

Sometimes, a second chance appears when you least expect it. Kate Cormier always thought she would love Sutton Guidry forever. But after making a bad chance, things ended, Kate moved on, building a new life for her and her daughter. Nowadays, kate doesn't have dreams. That is until Sutton comes home, acting like she never left and looking more attractive than ever.
Sutton has spent a decade away from her childhood home, avoiding her first love, and the girl who broke her heart. She's got a career, but her life which goes with it, isn't very impressive. She moves back to her hometown when her dad needs surgery, to help him recover, but she realizes she will need to face her past eventually. But with so many pieces of her life still there, including the love of her life, Kate, she finds it difficult trying not to imagine trying again with kate..

I really enjoyed reading You Again by Aurora Rey. It had everything I was expecting to find. This is a second-chance-romance with just enough angst to make the story interesting. It is also a character driven tale which is my favorite kind of book.

The two main characters, Kate Cormier and Sutton Guidry, were high school sweethearts and deeply in love, but had a bad breakup in their late teens. Ten years later, Sutton is a successful businesswoman in Atlanta, and Kate is a single mom running her folks’ hardware store in their small hometown. Then Sutton returns home to help her father through surgery and the two meet up again.

While I connected with most of the characters quickly, I have to admit Kate’s daughter Harper stole my heart. She was a joy to get to know in these pages and really helped make the story a joy to read. I also liked the small town setting as well as the descriptions of New Orleans that the characters visited in the tale.
You Again is a wonderful, feel good, low angst read with beautiful and intelligent characters that will melt your heart, and an enchanting second-chance love story.

I always enjoy an Aurora Rey book and this one wasn't any different.

Sutton hasn't been back to her hometown in a decade or so, when her father needs surgery she decides to go back home and take care of him. Sutton left town a decade ago to go to college, chase her dreams, but she always envisioned her girlfriend to be by her side. But the girl broke her heart and she hasn't gotten over it.
Kate has been raising her daughter Harper as a single parent for almost a decade, she rarely thinks about Sutton or what could have been. That all changes when grown-up Sutton shows up in her hardware store. It's hard to stay away from each other, but it's hard to be together as well. Time heals all wounds but their broken hearts seem only to heal when they are together, can it just be for fun, or was it always destined to be more?

A couple of things bothered me in this story my biggest bother is how the balance seems to be a bit off between the two mains. Sutton overprocesses and overthinks everything, and seems to be way more into Kate than Kate is into her/ interested in a relationship. You read a lot about Sutton's thoughts and feelings, but not a lot about Kate's. I liked Sutton better as a character as well, but that might be because you get so much more insight into her than Kate. Sutton is butch but on the inside, she is just a big marshmallow, I love it. The way Sutton is with Harper is amazing, how she processes Harper's existence as well. So much of the story revolves around the decade-old breakup, Kate's pregnancy is the main reason for the break. But how Sutton gets over that is super sweet, maybe a little too sweet. And while we are discussing Harper, she is an interesting secondary character. She is 9, fast approaching 10, and her comebacks are sassy and maybe a bit "too adult". But still, I can understand them, I have a 7-year-old nephew who spends a lot of time around adults and the behaviour and language they pick up are different from anyone their age. I also understand how it's a bit weird, Harper's comebacks are sometimes a bit over the top, and they happen too often.
And as a more general thing; I know this book is set in Louisiane, in the south, where the use of y'all is common, in my understanding. But I think you either do it consistently, so all the time, or you don't do it. Y'all is just a bit of an annoying thing for me to read, I don't know why.
Anyway, I enjoyed the story in general, it's a nice read. I always enjoy Rey's writing style, but there were some annoyances for me in this one. It's a second chance romance where you connect with one of the mains better than the other and you actually wish for something better for her. I'll give it 3.5 stars.

3.5 stars. I’ve only read one Rey book previously, but I really enjoyed it and was looking forward to the opportunity to read You Again. There were some aspects of this I really loved, especially Rey’s style of writing, but the conflict didn’t sit well with me, so I’m not giving it as high a rating as I thought I was going to be until for most of the book.

Sutton is returning to her home town after spending the last decade away, leaving for college and only returning the once. Her Dad is having knee replacement surgery and she’s convinced him to let her help, despite the fact she knows she’s going to have to see her ex.

Kate, the aforementioned ex, still lives in their hometown, with her daughter Harper and works in the family business.

I actually really liked both Sutton and Kate, and could even understand why Kate’s family were so against Sutton, if you take familial protectiveness into account.

Harper is a great kid character. She’s well written and has a really sparky personality. Many of the conversations she is involved in had me smiling. Kate’s brother Bryce is also worth a mention, as not only is Bryce a great character, but it was nice to have a trans man be included and have a genuine real place in the storyline, rather than it be tokenism.

It’s hard to review this one without giving away any spoilers as so much of this second chance romance is dependent on the how and why of why they broke up in the first place.

In general terms my issue with the conflict centres around the ownership of the issue, more than the issue itself. Much of the blame seems to be placed on one character, and I felt it should have been shared more equally, both the first time, and the time depicted in the last quarter of the book.

I really like Rey’s style of writing, and this certainly hasn’t changed my mind on that front. I’ll definitely be looking forward to her next book.

You Again is my first book by Aurora Rey and I'm sure it's not gonna be my last! This was a really sweet second hand romance and both Rey's witty writing and the sweet characters really made this an enjoyable read! I really love sapphic romance novels that feature children and families in them, and this was no exception - Harper was so much fun and added a certain lightness to the story, even though at times some of the things she said didn't sound all that characteristic of a nine year old, even the most intelligent of them. One thing I didn't really enjoy about this was one was all of the miscommunication and jumping to conclusions - it's a trope I really don't enjoy but one that seems to pop up in romance novels far too often. I don't have all that much to say about this one as it is just your classic sapphic adult romance, but I did really enjoy my time reading it!

Thanks to Netgalley and Bold Strokes Books for an eARC in return for an honest review!

Wowsers this one was a doozy! I'm in the middle in regards to how I feel about the story as a whole. After reading this, I totally understand where @Pip’s review was coming from!

The cheating thing really threw me and from my own personal experience it's not something I'd be able to forgive as easily as Sutton seemingly does. Secondly, Kate's folks were so self-righteous regarding Sutton... bruh, she did not abandon your daughter - Kate cheated and got pregnant, that's not Sutton's responsibility. Also, Sutton's dad is a manipulative twat. Talk to your kid about what she wants instead of making decisions that affect her life. Dang!

Anyhow... the good stuff, Harper, Harper, Harper and Bryce. Harper and Sutton. The new Sutton and Kate. The versions of them that forgive, and move forward 'cause it's damn impossible to change what's already happened. Seriously a doozy... but I liked it because Aurora Rey.

Also, when someone is cooking you pizza for dinner, are you meant to bring red or white wine? 😳

Sutton Guidry was living the life, at least the one she envisioned when she was a teenager but one thing was missing, Kate Cormier. As the girls made their plans she thought they were having the same dream.
Sutton was raised mainly by her father, her mother has been out of her life forever, or so it seems. All her dad wanted was for Sutton to go to university and then find a job. Which she did, a well paid position where she could pretty much decide for herself if she did that particular assignment. Working for companies that need their IT departments to function smoothly. Now after ten years she’s going home for the summer to take care of her father who needed surgery. She knew Kate was still living there and the fact was she was still in love with her. It’s been ten years, surely they could meet without Kate taking her to task for the way Sutton had ended their relationship.
Kate and her daughter lived a quiet life. Kate still worked for the family business where you could buy all the things required to build anything. She heard Sutton was back in town but by this time she was over the shoddy way Sutton had left her behind. Her daughter was the product of a very bad decision. But in her defense she was young and lonely thinking Sutton was off meeting new friends, perhaps even meeting a new GF.
Now they are back in town meeting again but both were hoping to be able to at the least, say hello without too much drama.
Ms Rey has been entertaining her fans for a few years now, producing books that you hated to put down. Very, very good read.

I like Rey’s books, but this wasn’t my favourite of hers. It’s ok, but not her best.

This features the second chance trope, with MCs Kate and Sutton as high school sweethearts who break up after Sutton leaves for college, there more to it but it’s a spoiler I guess, so hidden under the tag .

Sutton returns home 10 years later to look after her father while he has surgery and of course runs into Kate. Kate has remained in town and is raising her 9 year old daughter, Harper, alone. She has a lovely supportive family, including her trans brother Bryce. Sutton and Kate were ok characters (Sutton as the better of the two), but Harper and Bryce were my favourites.

So, Sutton comes home, but both MCs have mixed feelings about each other because of ‘reasons’. It’s a small town though, so they run into each other a lot and get friendly again pretty quickly, which then leads to a friends with benefits sort of thing. They do have good chemistry, and for the most part I enjoyed their interactions, but the scenes between Harper and Sutton were the real gold.

So the two of them have reunited, things are going ok, and then we have to hit the requisite drama portion around the 80% mark, which didn’t feel organic, in all honesty I didn’t buy either part, the whole thing felt contrived and overblown. It is fairly quickly resolved, which was the only plus.

The big downside to this book is the issue that broke them up to start with. It gets harped on all the way through the book, and yet isn’t really explained, which is just weird. Both families warn the MCs about rekindling their relationship, although for the life of me I couldn’t work out why Kate’s family were mad at Sutton, she cops a lot of blame for their break up but from where I was sitting, all the blame was on Kate.

Anyway, that aside, the MCs are both fairly interesting and I bought that they still cared for each other. They both have good family’s and nice interactions with them and I loved Harper and Bryce as side characters. Like I said, not Rey’s best book, but an ok read. 3 stars.

Last year I enjoyed The Last Place You Look by Aurora Rey, I found it quite charming, and I really like how she writes butch leaning characters, which are pretty underrepresented in lesfic. And I also like second chance romance stories, so when I saw Rey released one, I was pretty excited.

And there is a lot to like about this book. I enjoy second chance stories because I like reading about that juxtaposition between feeling drawn to someone and being resistant because of past hurts. That's a dynamic I find interesting. And there's definitely a lot of that here, and I enjoyed that.

Unfortunately, I have a pretty major issue with this book. You find out about it pretty early, but I'm going to mark it as a spoiler on the side of caution.

Anyway, there is a decent amount to like in this book with some cute characters, an adorable kid, a lot of emotion, some steamy scenes, and Louisiana makes an interesting setting. But I did have a major problem with the book that unfortunately got in the way of what could have been much more. 2.5/5 rounding up.

I really like this story. It makes you feel good and give you hope for a better future. I call this also instant family because, there is nothing better than getting what you dream off and it is family.
Both characters had their own issues they had to get over. The distance between them did not help and also the time it took them to get back together.
There is nothing better than happy ending.

Great story.

In this book we’re introduced to Sutton and Kate, two teenage lovers who as the cliche on second chance romance goes broke up as teens only to cross paths a decade later.

The plot itself is in my opinion is overdone and cliche but who doesn’t love a good cliche. This book is an okay read, not much drama and at times boring. Sometimes felt like the relationship between Sutton and Kate was one sided as Kate’s feelings were mostly kept unwrap until she talks to her brother, who if I’m going to be honest is the most interesting character so much that I wouldn’t mind reading a spin-off about him.

I’m not much for drama filled books but this book didn’t really give me anything, even the love scenes felt dry. I love Sutton and Harper’s relationship, definitely the highlight of this book. I can’t come up with much of a criticism of this book because again, it didn’t really give me anything. Maybe it’s because of my exhaustion with the whole “second chance but one of them has a kid” arc.

If you’re looking for a no drama predictable book then here’s your recommendation but if you’re looking for something hot and funny then this isn’t for you as it wasn’t for me.

Sutton returns to her home town in order to take care of her father after knee replacement surgery. Being from a small town in Southern Louisiana, she is sure she will run into her ex-girlfriend, Kate, sooner rather than later. Kate broke her heart 10 years ago, when she got pregnant with her daughter Harper. Kate knows Sutton is back in town and, although she feels she has moved on, she still has vivid memories of the heartache she went through when Sutton left without a backwards glance.

The inevitable happens and after several quasi-awkward encounters, Sutton and Kate make a play at starting fresh, forgiving each other of their past sins and being friends again. The “friendship” part seems to be more of a coverup excuse, as old feelings quickly re-emerge for both and leave them questioning where they stand.

This is just a good book. I really enjoyed it, and especially like the setting of small town Louisiana. It was the typical, if not well-worn, plot of “girl returns to small town and run into the ex”, but that didn’t detract from the overall story for me. The flow was good, the characters are well established, and it was just altogether charming. The one criticism I had was at times the story line seemed to drag slightly. The burn was maybe just a smidge to slow for my taste. Solid 4 stars.

Sutton Guidry and Kate Cornier meet in high school and pledge to be together forever then, life happens. After living away for a decade, Sutton returns home to support her father with his knee replacement surgeries. Being a small town, it is inevitable that they will see each other. The question becomes, what will they do about it. You, again?

Sutton and Kate are likable characters with reflective personalities which I enjoy because it lets the reader know what is going on and why they are behaving the way they are behaving. the romance and sex was hot. Kate's daughter Harper, wow, what a character. Some reviews reflect that she is too perfect. I disagree. I think she is observant with a solid vocabulary and inquisitive mind. She is also a bit nerdy which is so cool. It would have been nice to hear a little more about Kate's brother Bryce.

Yummy
Kate and Sutton were High School sweethearts planning on forever until they weren’t. Now Kate is raising a daughter on her own and hardly thinks about by gone days. Sutton hasn’t been home in a decade, trying to avoid memories of what could have been and the girl who broke her heart. She has a successful career, but no real life. Now her dad needs surgery and he needs her to come home and take care of him. Being home makes her realize just how empty her life has been and running into Kate makes her think about what might have been. Is it possible for them to try again or are things best left in the past?

This beautiful romance is a true delight. I loved watching this story unfold. Kate’s daughter is a hoot and a half! She’s witty and clever, silly and sweet and just a joy. I liked watching Kate and Sutton heal old wounds and try to forge a new friendship and more. Of course not everything is easy peasy and trouble is just around the corner but that just makes the book even more realistic and fascinating. Its low angst with yummy sexy bits which is just what I need these days. I will admit that things were resolved pretty easily but that suited me just fine too. This book is a true Aurora Rey tale, romantic, with a bit of humor, emotional and heartfelt, beautiful, smooth and just about perfect. Thank you for making me such a happy camper Ms Rey!

Oh, how I love lower-angst romances, and oh, how I love how Aurora Rey handles them.

A second-chance romance, this one put bisexual Kate and lesbian Sutton back into each others' orbits after ten years of a seriously bad break-up: one where eighteen year-old Sutton had left for college for four months and returned to find seventeen year-old Kate was pregnant kind of bad. Huge, and for teenagers, definitely not an easy thing to navigate.

Fast-forward those ten years, however, and single-parent Kate has her life in a pretty solid state, working for her family at the local hardware shop and raising her kid and making jewelry on the side, and Sutton—whose father wanted nothing more for her than to leave the "podunk" town and live up to her potential—has done just that, with a great career and important position she can, luckily, put on hold for three months while her father has knee replacement surgery.

It's a small town, and it's not long before they bump into each other, and... well. Both remember the sharp pain of the past, but it's been ten years, and the ten years between seventeen and eighteen to twenty-seven and twenty-eight are a lot. This is where, I think, Rey's characterization really shone the most here. Of course the two reacted terribly to Kate's betrayal and Sutton's resultant cut-and-run, but they're not those teenagers any more and it's clear there's still something between them. Harper (Kate's daughter) is also a lynchpin to the framing of the choice in Kate's past on many levels: she understands it as a mistake that hurt Sutton, but it also led to Harper, who is a singular joy in her life, and thus she can regret it on some levels, but without wishing it had never happened. While I know a lot of readers nope out of a book when any cheating is involved, this is teenaged cheating and a decade in the past, and while it definitely shaped the two women (and left both worried in very specific ways about repeating patterns) the end-result fed into characterization, not angst or trauma.

This was a wonderful audiobook companion for the last few weeks while I walked the dog, and I'm going to miss it. Kate Chilton did a wonderful narration as always, and I hope I get to return to this small Lousiana town some time in the future with more Rey books, as the cast of supporting characters—even the parents, who I wanted to shake multiple times—was a nice, atypical touch for small-town nowhere. Kate's trans brother, Harper herself, two nearby older lesbians Sutton works with... it all felt connected in a way I love to read.

I haven't had time to read in months and I'm glad I saved this book for exactly this time where I was free to enjoy my favourite author fully. I was not disappointed, this book was lovely and romantic and exactly what I wanted.

Sutton and Kate dated in high school but after Sutton went away for college the two had a messy breakup. Now, years later, Sutton has returned home for three months while her Dad recovers from knee replacement surgery. In a small town it's nearly impossible to avoid bumping into her once girlfriend Kate and all the baggage that comes with it. The two women work to put the past behind them and become friends, but neither were expecting the same desire and affection they once had for each other to be rekindled as well. But Sutton's life and career is still far away from Kate and the town where they grow up. Will their relationship survive a second time.

Kate and Sutton have an incredible chemistry, they were very sexy together. You could feel that their comfort level with each other too came from both past and present. That just felt very natural and reflected how much they were meant to find each other again. Their baggage from their breakup added the tension for that will-they-wont-they/push and pull that kept these destined for each other characters apart. I think their past was well written and well worked through by the characters as they communicated properly as mature adults. It was very low angst and not at all a frustrating. Harper was just darling, she added a joyful, youthful levity to the book, especially at the beginning when things were tense between Sutton and Kate. Sutton's Dad, Kate's family, as well as their old friends really created a cosy atmosphere of a close knit community and family. This book was an all around sweet story, with a cozy (but sexy) romance. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect book.

You Again is a sweet second chance Romance. Kate Cormier and Sutton Guidry were HS sweethearts. They had the love that was different from the other HS romances. They were soulmates until a mistake torn them apart. 10 years later Sutton returns to her hometown to take care of her Dad. Does she still love Kate? Does Kate still love Sutton. You bet! The problem is they are both still heartbroken over what happened 10 years ago.

So I really enjoyed reading You Again. As I was reading it, I found myself really cheering for Kate and Sutton. They are both lovable characters and you absolutely fall for Harper (Kate's daughter). Talk about a recipe for a happy family. I know that many authors like to write heavy angst into their romances, but this one is rather lower on the angsty scale which I was happy with. You Again is a easy and enjoyable read with some nicely done sex scenes. Rey shows us that these two are meant for each other.

The book "You again" by Aurora Rey is about Sutton, who returns after a 10 year absence from her hometown for some time to take care of her father who has a knee surgery scheduled. During her stay, she also reunites with her old childhood sweetheart Kate and her daughter Harper. Their relationship didn't end well back then and the two are now slowly starting to get closer again.

Even though the story touches on more serious topics, it is on the whole rather light and leaves you with a good feeling. The characters are likeable and Kate's daughter Harper in particular stands out positively because of her personality. For me, the book is perfect to curl up with for a rainy weekend and be captivated.

I really enjoyed this book, who doesn't  love a small town romance, especially when there is a rekindling of a  long lost romance involved. I totally loved watching this story unfold, it was well written and pulled me right into the pages. The 3 MC's had great chemistry and complemented each other well. My favorite character was Harper, who is Kate's daughter, She had an underlying sassiness about her that had me in stitches throughout the whole story. The bond between Harper and Sutton was engaging and I enjoyed watching it develop. This was a light hearted story that in the end made my heart smile.

You Again by Aurora Rey is a low-angst, feel-good, second chance romance. I loved the banter between the 2 MCs, Kate and Sutton, where Sutton completely over-analyzed everything to death while Kate was more of a realist - together they made a couple that was believable. Not to mention, Harper, who was adorable (come to think of it, I don't think I've read a book where a child of a MC was not "too mature for their age"). I felt the chemistry between the main characters and there were a good amount of steamy moments. All in all, I smiled a lot while reading this and will definitely be a re-read.

2.5 stars. Kate Cormier thought she would be with Sutton Guidry, until she was told Sutton would not want to be with her after she went to college. She made one mistake and got pregnant while Sutton was in college, and she had a daughter. Sutton was devastated and has not been back to her hometown in ten years. That is until her father has surgery and she comes back to help take care of him. Sutton must face the ghost of her past, her ex girlfriend and Kate's now 10 year old daughter. She is unsure how the reunion would go and how they would deal with seeing each other again.

This book was fine. It wasn't great but it wasn't bad. They relationship went quick and it evolved quickly. Their interactions started out better and then it ramped up pretty quickly. This book had an okay storyline to begin with, in my opinion, and the book was not that well written to make me really enjoy the storyline. I am not sure I would recommend this book, as there are many other, better books. Everything about this book was very predictable and even the conflict in the book was nothing exciting and I didn't see coming.

This was such a sweet book!

I don't know why, but with general observation, there seems to be a lot more MM romances than FF romances, so I'm super glad I discovered this author! We need more FF romances like this book! The characters were great, Harper was just the cutest, the families were all so supportive, it was so nice to relax and read this book.

This is a second chance book through and through and I was hooked on it from the beginning, seriously couldn't put it down!

Its a okay read and may have enjoyed it more if author would have made Kate likeable.
I felt bad for Sutton somehow every character in the book made her feel like Kate is the victim n she is the bad person in the relation when you consider it should be the opposite n don't get me on Kate's character shes arguably my least favorite main character in all romance books I gone through.her been self-centered,conceited and playing victim card whenever possible pretty much made me despise her character.
Loved sutton and her monologues always made me feel distressed. Her thinking she's the one responsible for their failed relationship even though she got cheated on made her character monotonus.
Gotta be honest Harpers character and bryce little cameos are the highlights for me and the ending left me unsatisfied more than anything maybe because I never got the feeling of HEA from it.
