Not a standalone -you have to read book 1 first.
This delicious bit of kinkiness is more than a little left of centre but it's soo much fun. I think I actually liked book 2 more than book 1 as Henry gets a little more on board with his role as a cow and the scenes are edgier. If you're after something different - you've found it!

Happy to see Henry’s story continue. Henry gets a treat for being a good milk producer, specifically a threesome with his handler Nathan and tattoo artist Jake. *cough* Double penetration. *cough*

I just couldn't do it. The consent issues I had with the first one only got worse in this one. Maybe this is all part of humiliation d/s play, but it felt wrong to me. In the first one Henry refuses to read the "fine print" of his contract and keeps agreeing to everything that happens. In as much as the things that are happening conform in some way to his fantasies, I'm ok with that. In this one, his contract is up for renewal and it feels as if he's being pressured to accept it even though he is told the contract contains new and different "fine print" which Nathan says he knows he won't read because Henry wants to be his best cow. It just seems to me that the negotiation for consent shouldn't be done as part of the scene and this felt very much like they were still in the scene. I'm not very familiar with the whole humiliation scene so maybe this is how it's done. If so, this is really not a kink I'm interested in.

This was very high on heat level. I loved every moment of it. Second book in the series and I still don't like the kink, yet there is something about it that doesnt allow me to stop reading.
I think I'm as  intrigued as Henry to find out what will Nathan bring to the table. But as charming as Henry is, is Nathan who have me in love with him. I love all his reactions and every time he is on scene is wonderful experience for me. Such a nice book to read.

Wow, OK. More milking and more $ex. Henry’s contract is renewed and this one lasts for a year. Once again, he doesn’t read the fine print so he gets several surprises including 2 strangers drinking from him and mounting him. Ends with Nathan talking Henry into giving up his apartment and moving in to be a cow full time

So compelling

Once again, R Phoenix writes so compellingly that I've finished the book before I've quite realised I'm reading it. The writing pulls you along relentlessly and, although yes I think Henry is a bit of an eejit (always read the small print!) I feel utterly invested in his story. Next, please!
