Third Shift - Book 4 . . .
Grady is tracking a she-wolf named Winter who will present several complications for him. She was kidnapped by werewolves, she is coming into her heat soon, she is betrothed to his brother Smith who is the pack leader, and Grady is her bond mate! It had taken him 6 months to find her. Right now, the pressing problem is to get to her in time before her heat where the werewolves could take advantage of her. But he has her scent and he is very close.
Winter is the daughter of a pack leader. But as soon as Grady walks into the room, she recognizes that he is her bond mate. He is the one she was running to find. He was tall and handsome. She wanted to hear his voice, but they had to be quiet with the werewolves asleep at the moment. The full moon was tonight and they were all resting. Grady led her out through a window and they jumped down then ran. He told her she would have to shift to jump a brick wall. He knew he could not or else he would lose control when his wolf saw Winter. She had it firmly in her mind that they would bond as soon as they could tell Smith that her old sister would mate him instead because she and Grady were mates. But he will reject her, first when she enters her heat and again when she admits to how she ended up in the captivity of werewolves. Winter has to let him go, but she can't. There is something important he needs to know.
The world-building and description of the shifter’s acute senses is so well done that it truly does build their world up around the reader, letting the reader move right through that environment, and allows the ability to visualize and smell everything sharply through the words that are describing what the shifter is sensing. I was enjoying it all until the rancid elk meat was described! But my point is that the descriptions are really written so well. The story line will pick up the pace as they have to escape. The only slight negative I had was that Winter seemed so naïve and childlike about things that it could get irritating. Her mind drifted to other things instead of concentrating on their escape and the danger they were in. But otherwise, the story is enjoyable and exciting. Grab your copy and see for yourself how good it is!

I enjoyed Grady the big bad alpha and Winter his sassy and fated mate who is supposedly to marry his brother that she has runaway from. The storyline takes plenty of twists and turns throughout the pages. The characters are engaging and well developed with plenty of chemistry throughout the pages.
