I studied this book while my father in law got sick and then died and then we went to his funeral. So while I was studying how the Thessalonians were feeling hopeless because they had some deaths and were worried they wouldn’t participate in the second coming of Christ and Paul was telling them “we don’t grieve as those without hope” the Word of God became very relevant to me. Paul also calls us to action to “rejoice always, pray constantly, give thanks in everything, for this God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” I considered ways for me to do just do that.

Absolutely loved this study! I loved reflecting on 1 Thess. 5:16-18 - "Rejoice always, pray constantly, give thanks in everything; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."

Very beautifully done book, the photography is always really nice. Love that there's plenty of space to write down prayers/notes.

2024: I really enjoyed this one this go ‘round. Glad I made efforts to study this book again.

2021: Maybe it was just me, but from the SRT studies I’ve done, I enjoyed this one the least. Which makes me sad given the topics are about rejoicing always, prayer, and giving thanks.
