Christopher Artinian is one of my favorite authors in the Zombie genre. When I saw that he had written a book in another genre, I knew I had to give it a try. I was not disappointed.
It seems that someone is kidnapping young women and transporting them somewhere to inflict horrific and terrifying situations on them. You will feel their terror and cheer at their resourcefulness along the way. But, be aware that there are some creeptastic scenes along the way!
I don't want to give away any spoilers, so I won't say more about the plot. You have to experience this terrifying and action-packed story for yourself. I will say that I was hoping for a happier ending, but it is a horror story after all. The writing is wonderful, the pace is extreme, and the obvious horror of the girls' situation is palpable.
I first read this book as an ebook & thoroughly enjoyed it. When the audiobook version became available, I jumped at the chance to listen to it. The narrator, Kim Bretton, is one of my favorite narrators. Her ability to bring each character to life is amazing and you always know who is speaking, even with a three or four way dialogue. Simply amazing!
If you enjoy fast paced thrillers and great storytelling, give this book a try. You won't be disappointed! I was given the chance to listen to the audiobook version by the author/narrator/publisher and chose to review it.
