Trust is dangerous. Stay up all night reading the darkly seductive psychological thriller that has readers hooked, from bestselling author Britney King, known for The Social Affair and HER.
Ali is a sex therapist-slash-guru, famous for the work she does helping others find pleasure.
The problem: Ali can never quite find it for herself.
Her life's work makes nothing taboo, nothing off limits. And she's tried everything short of murder. Although, with the way things are going, it's not off the table.
When Ethan Lane is hired to investigate the death of a wealthy bachelor, he isn't expecting to stumble into a string of murders. The victims are men, and all members of a popular dating app. Operating undercover with a profile of his own, he meets the woman of his dreams—who also happens to be his best suspect.
The question: Can Lane stay alive long enough to prove his theory? And does he want to?
Grab a drink. Settle in. I’ve got a quick story for you.
It starts, as most good stories do, with someone chasing a feeling.
Picture a Texas writer surrounded by five kids, two literary dogs, one unreasonable cat, and a partridge in a pear tree—all orbiting a household powered by caffeine, chaos, and sheer willpower.
Instead of getting into trouble in real life, she decided to invent it on the page. (Healthier for everyone. Mostly.)
She didn’t set out to write the perfect thriller, but she has been chasing a certain feeling for years—chasing the perfect story.
The kind that makes you miss your exit, burn your dinner, or stay up later than you meant to. The kind that makes a reader say “just one more chapter” and lie to themselves beautifully.
Some writers chase awards. Britney chases that feeling.
You might call it persistence. She calls it passion—the only real secret ingredient behind thirty-plus books and counting. Always reaching for whatever that elusive green-light moment is.
She hasn’t caught it yet. But that’s half the fun.
Ali is a fun instrument to play, the kind you’re forever trying to tune…
Trust me, no one wants a woman like that. Sarah Shepard is the stench of reality in your nose: the hard facts, the lessons you didn’t want to learn. It takes a lot of mental energy trying to figure out what to do with her.
I didn’t want to go the hit-and-run route. I really like my car.
We reach my bedroom, which is lit up by dozens of candles. I can’t know for sure whether it’s romantic or whether a human sacrifice is about to take place.
My Review:
This was an absorbing and cunningly paced page-turner that I found difficult to put down. Oh, that Britney King, she has clever craft and mad skills. The storylines bent in on themselves and not once but several times, all while keeping me on my toes and slapping me around when I was so smug in my theories. Honestly, I should know better by now. This wily scribbler brings a multi-course meal with a heady mix of side orders including witty snark, flinch-worthy intrigue, family drama, sensuality, and twisty yet compelling characters that I shouldn’t like yet draw me like a starved dieter at a buffet. I cannot wait to see what she conjures next.
I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.
***AUDIO BOOK VERSION*** Kill Me Tomorrow is a gripping, twisty, turney thriller that was addictive to listen to. Ethan Lane is a PI who's struggling to make ends meet. He lands a job to investigate the murder of a wealthy bachelor and goes undercover to catch the killer. Ethan meets Ali, who is a sex therapist, famous for her work, and who is looking for something more as her own relationship is failing. Ethan suspects Ali of being the murderer of the murdered men he is investigating, but he is drawn to her in more ways than one. But is he setting himself up as the next victim? I enjoyed the audio version of this book and the narrators style. This was fast-paced and action-packed and a great listen at the end of a long day.
Britney King is an author that never fails to shock and delight me with her psychological thrillers If you have read any of her books you will know what I mean. You can never think that you have her plot all worked out, she will have more surprises for you and I can't get enough. Kill me Tomorrow was another read in one sitting book from King, time just disappears in the pages.
We have alot going on in this twisty and addictive story. There is Ethan Lane, a former FBI agent, now a PI struggling to pay his bills. He is hired to investigate the murder of a wealthy bachelor and it leads him on a dangerous path. The killer is finding his victims on a dating app, so Ethan goes undercover to try to find the murderer. He meets Ali, a well know sex therapist who is famous of helping others with all things in the bedroom, but her own sex life is failing. They form an unlikely relationship but will Ethan find himself in more trouble than he expected?
You need to get yourself a copy of this book and binge it like I did. You won't believe your eyes and those pages will keep turning late into the night.
Thank you so much Britney for sending me a copy of this wild ride!
The fact that the main character, Ali is a sex therapist slash guru and it alludes to that murder might not be off the table for her was enough to make me pick up this book and I'm glad I did. Very entertaining and thrilling and I very much want to pick up more books by Britney King in thd future. Was very readable and I couldn't figure out how it would end.
Britney King is the Queen of addictive thrillers that will keep you guessing and supremely entertained!
Kill Me Tomorrow is fast-paced fun! You've got a beautiful famous sex therapist who also might be a serial killer and a private detective who's intrigued by her and just might be falling for her, but also might not survive the experience.
Titillating and thrilling at the same time! I read this in a day, sneaking a few pages in whenever I could as my baby played next to me.
The only reason it's a 4 star read for me is that I got a little confused at parts and was left with questions that I wanted answered. Still, worth a read!
A sexy romantic thriller from Brittany King was all I wanted to lift my spirits high!
Ali Brown is a player. She dates, has wild one night stands, never shies off from waking up with random men. What she doesn't do is long-term relationships. After all, she's a married woman and a successful sex therapist with offices in 4 cities and happy clients willing to pay her off just for their sex lives to be better! Sounds busy, doesn't it? Sadly this doesn't satisfy Ali and she always wants more thrill and excitement and that's where it gets dangerous. After all, where's the thrill without touching the rims of danger?
Ethan Lane is a divorced, dad of three, PI with only one successful, manipulative client who would double dare him if he doesn't prove that her father's death isn't a suicide. After months of research, he's now closing leads on a woman who might be his main suspect. Ethan might have a thing or two of powerful, manipulative women and Ali Brown is just the woman for him, even though she might be a serial killer who kills every man she sleeps with. Which is way too many!
What I liked? The narration was spot on, fast paced and absolutely brilliant without a moment's lag. The characters were brilliantly structured and I loved both Ethan and Ali equally. Well, until the climax. The sex scenes were wayy too hot and completely necessary for the plot!
Although I did feel like some of the many other mysteries were left unanswered. Like, why did Ali do the things she does? Why is there no flashbacks to Ali's past? Why is Ethan being a dumbass in the climax? All these things I did not understand why but if I don't dig deeper, I'd say I really enjoyed the sexy suspense vibe the book caused and I had a great time reading it. Thanks to the author for having me on her ARC team. All opinions mine.
I always get excited when Britney King has a new book coming out, and Kill Me Tomorrow: A Psychological Thriller completely lived up to any expectations I might have had. This book was just as intense as her other novels, but I loved the addition of a PI (private investigator) to this storyline. I thought King's writing was spot on, and I found myself reading a bit slower than I normally do with her books, but without any less fervor. I was hooked from the beginning like I always am, and I had a ton of fun with the different points of view. I had a suspicion of what was going on, but I didn't have it completely pinned down and still managed to be surprised at the end. Kill Me Tomorrow is a dark and gritty psychological thriller worth every minute it takes to read.
I was a little confused about the ending and it didn't make total sense to me, but other than that there wasn't a single thing I didn't like about Kill Me Tomorrow. I love how compulsively readable King's novels are, and I didn't want to put this down, ESPECIALLY not once I got towards the end. Even though King is known for her unlikeable characters, I actually didn't hate either of our main characters. There was just something about both Ali and Ethan that I quite liked, and they are also very complex and had a lot of depth. King pulled their layers back little by little, and I loved the way she did it. There is more trauma in this book than I was expecting, and the complexity of the plot was perfect for me. Kill Me Tomorrow is another standalone from King and a great one to check out if you have or haven't read her yet!
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
In all honesty, the best thing about this book was the narration performance by Patrick Zeller.
This story had so much potential. The main protagonist was a likable character in the beginning. He’s a former FBI agent who now has his own private investigation firm and is carrying enormous trauma after his young daughter was murdered in a home invasion. He seems to be moving forward in his life being a single parent to his two other children after suffering a painful divorce. He is a character I usually can empathize with and relate to.
When he starts investigating a string of murders of wealthy men and learns they are all members of the same dating app, he goes undercover and with the help of his assistant, creates a profile and ultimately meets a woman he falls hard for. She also happens to be his number one suspect in the murders, so what does he do? Sleeps with her. Yes, his brain takes an immediate exit stage right and he starts thinking with his other brain.
This story was beyond illogical and completely inappropriate for a character with the law enforcement background he has. Why did I keep listening? I kept hoping that somehow his investigation would reveal this woman was not who he suspected her to be, but instead, everything kept pointing to her being involved somehow, if not as the killer, certainly as an accomplice.
My Final Verdict: Based on the ratings of other readers, this book does appeal to some but not to me and I cannot recommend it.
Thank you to the publisher, OrangeSky Audio, who provided an advance reader copy of this audiobook via NetGalley.
What makes me so addicted to Britney King's novels? Maybe it's the adrenaline-fueled rush you get when you read any of hers, as they are all "read-me-in-one-sitting" books that command your attention from the first page! Her latest is told through three points of view: Ethan, Ali, and an un-named character (until the surprising conclusion). Of course Ali is the sexy bombshell who is a famous sex therapist and Ethan is investigating a suspicious death; and then he gets lured into Ali's web of lust and deceit. Like the rest, don't even try to figure it out. King is an expert at throwing you off track and your head will spin for days--totally worth it...adore her books!
I never know in which direction Britney King is going to take me. This book has more curves and twist than a mountain road. I swear at the beginning I knew who was preying on the men of the Beacon dating app but halfway through I Thought no maybe not. But as Private Investigator Ethan Lane delves into suspect Ali Brown not all is as it seems to be. Is she really a killer? Deception is a very powerful tool. So halfway through I began to doubt my own sleuthing skills and Britney King leads me on a ride I didn't see coming. So Kill Me Tomorrow is so exciting to read I truly couldn't get enough. I did receive the audio from Netgalley and enjoyed listening to the amazing narrator Patrick Zeller. He did a great job bringing all the characters to life.
Thank you to Britney King for this e-ARC, I'm so incredibly appreciative.
Another book from King full of unexpected twists that kept me on my toes. I never expected the killer to be who it was, and once I found out who it was, there were even more surprises to follow. The perfect thriller.
In all honesty this book wasn’t for me. I think it was an interesting read. But didn’t really catch my attention and hold it. Although I did finish it. Felt like it was a little dry. Not really much suspense. Glad I had the audio to listen to it, because honestly I don’t think I could have actually read this one.
Thank you Britney King, OrangeSky Audio and NetGalley for the audio to listen to this book in return for my honest review!
Kill Me Tomorrow by Britney King Yessss!!! Britney King knocks another hit out to the readers! Loved this story, like how reading this was like unwrapping layers of Christmas wrap from a present...you think you know what you got but then to find out it was a surprise after all! Thank you Britney King for another awesome book from your dark and twisted mind!
Thank you to NetGalley and OrangeSky Audio for an advanced copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. 3.5 stars to this one. I picked this audiobook to review as I've been seeing the author's name Britney King on my book lists. Recently having read Savage Row, I was intrigued to hear more. Personally I could do without the eroticism, so that dinged my score, but my bad for not really reading the summary. This was a twisty psychological thriller about a female serial killer who uses her career as a venue for murder and the investigator hired to find a murderer, which leads him to a string of murders. Evil and satisfying for those who enjoy seeing watching a cat and mouse play it out I would recommend this suspenseful book to those readers of crime, thrillers and suspense.. just be prepared for some erotic sex scenes. Creative and gripping this was a quick and juicy read!
I listened to this audio book and was thrilled. The narrator was so good. Thanks Netgalley and OrangeSky Audio.
Ethan Lane is a former FBI agent who hides a different sad story. He's dying. And then the story begins. And in the end, we know what’s going on. And maybe he's not dead.
He works as a private investigator and investigates the death of a wealthy bachelor. Or are there more? He met Ali, a woman who works as a sex therapist-slash-guru, known for helping others find pleasure. So he is tempted and Ali knows exactly what to do.
It’s interesting how things develop. It can't get through without turns. But it excited and sexy at the same time.
No one writes addictively sinister & twisty thrillers like Britney King!
I always know I’m in for a naughty good time starting a new BK release. Kill Me Tomorrow is my sixth novel by the author and I gobbled it up nearly in one sitting just like all the rest. Her latest is dark, gritty, smart and sexy...exactly what I’m looking forward to every time. Loved the alternative POVs and once again I didn’t guess the twist. Can’t wait for your next one BK!
This book was fast paced and had my heart racing so many times! It was creepy, thrilling, and there were so many twists. Definitely order your copy today.
Thanks to the publisher for the early review copy!
The book opens with a descriptive scene about a man on the brink of death. We then follow Ethan, a private investigator, Ali, a sex guru/therapist, and an unknown character as they circle around a string of murders and their own private lives.
For a book pitched as a thriller/mystery, it lacked in that department. Facts were just being thrown everywhere and suddenly we’re talking about something else. It felt that way that when it came to the big reveal, I didn’t really care for the case that much because I forgot we even had a case in the first place. It didn’t really feel like we’re following these cases but rather the private lives of the main characters. I wouldn’t really mind this but for some reason, even with such a crazy backstory for the main characters, they still fell flat. The author could have explored these characters more by describing how they feel, what they’re going through, and their motivations and what not. I connected more with Ethan’s assistant than I did with him or Ali.
I’m not sure if it was the story or the narrator but I had a bit of difficulty with connecting with the book and it was a bit hard to follow. He did a great job with Ethan and the unknown character but it definitely would’ve been more immersive with a female narrator doing Ali’s POV.
Overall, it was an enjoyable read especially if you’re into romance but want a but of a thrill!
I'm an analytical person so my head is constantly going (sometimes even in sleep), which makes the biggest draw to Britney King for me is the fact that I NEVER know which direction she's going to take us in, and hell, I'm not even sure what I just read since even the ending was out of left field so you know, I'm in it with her for the long haul! Kill Me Tomorrow is one crazy as hell journey about a woman who likes to push the envelope, and the ex-FBI agent turned PI, who ends up with a case coming across his desk. It means that the twists are coming from all directions and I'm not even sure that any of my questions were answered but I certainly had fun dropping loud f-bomb after loud f-bomb after loud f-bomb (you get the picture) cover to cover. There's even a ton of heat in this insanity making the ride she took me on was a grand ole time so buckle up buttercup & join me on the crazy train! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
No one writes psychological thrillers better than Britney King. I have made that statement in reviews of her previous novels, but it merits repeating since she has upped her game yet another notch in Kill Me Tomorrow. All of the things that I love about her books are on display in her marvelous latest release; however, at a superlative rather than merely an excellent level.
I’ll begin with her complex and multi-dimensional female protagonist, Ali Brown. Ali is drop-dead gorgeous. It seems that this term may have multiple interpretations when applied to Ali. Ali also has a killer body, again, perhaps in more ways than the obvious one.
Ali is a sex therapist. Among other things, she teaches women how to be seductive and to find sexual satisfaction. Ali herself is very well accomplished in the art of seduction. Ali loves men and has a voracious sexual appetite and a very libertine approach to her sexual satisfaction. Her only sexual restraint is occasionally enjoying bondage. She unabashedly uses men for both her sexual and material satisfaction.
Ali collects men like some women collect recipes. She has more men spinning than a Vaudeville plate spinner. And she is always looking for more, including on a dating website called Beacon. Ali has met several men on that dating website, most being high-profile men, who have ended up dead, ostensibly by suicide.
Like Ali, the male protagonist, Ethan Lane, is a well-developed character with an interesting and tragic backstory. Ethan, a former FBI agent who is now a private investigator, was employed by the daughter of one of the men whose death was listed as a suicide. The daughter, Camille, was sure that her father was murdered.
A police detective friend, Max, had surreptitiously provided Ethan with the victims' files, and Ethan notes that the dead men and Ali all belonged to the same website.
With the considerable assistance of his witty and sarcastic assistant, Nadia, Ethan posts a profile on Beacon based partially on the now-deceased men's profiles. As Ethan was getting ready to leave the bar where he had arranged to have the first meeting with three dud women who he met on Beacon, Nadia texted him that a fourth had just shown up and would be joining him. Ethan noticed that it was Ali Brown since his ex-wife was a huge fan of hers and had her books. Ethan called her by name. After Ali realized that she had been recognized, she left the bar. However, they did meet up later, and the fun began in more ways than one. To describe their sexual encounters as torrid would be a massive understatement!
The chapters skip around between a focus on Ali or Ethan. And some chapters focus on the perspective of an unnamed individual. Only until the later chapters do this point-of-view become clear. In Ali's case, since she has men and business in Seattle, Boston, and Austin, her chapters alternate among these different locations and individuals.
The final few chapters have more twists and turns than a bag full of snakes. For me, and I expect most readers, there were many unexpected and unpredicted surprises. This type of ending is usually the case in a Britney King novel, and just one more thing that makes her books such a delightful reading adventure!
Kill Me Tomorrow is most definitely a 5-star read! In my opinion, it is her best book yet. Keyword “yet.” She has pleasantly surprised me so often that I am not sure that Britney King has a ceiling as a writer!
I received an advanced reading copy (ARC) in return for an honest review. My review is provided voluntarily.
Ali is a sex therapist-slash-guru, famous for the work she does helping others find pleasure.
The problem is that Ali can never quite find it for herself, which doesn't stop her from trying to find it, in many ways....
This murder/mystery/thriller leaves you guessing who exactly Ali is, who Ethan is, because both have secrets and hidden desires. In Ethan's case, you can almost say he has a sort of death wish with how deeply he involves himself in this case.
The story is intriguing though a bit slow in pace. But that doesn't make it any less captivating!
And you figure out who's the killer pretty early on... until you don't! Because the revealing plot twist was what salvaged the story for me, because if it had been who I was assuming, the book would have flopped for me.
So, kudos to the shocking twist.
But it doesn't end there, because just when you think things are resolved... you get hit with yet another twist in events.
It really is about dubious characters and what anyone is willing to do to achieve certain goals.
I highly recommend this if you're looking for a different kind of murder mystery story that will indeed leave you guessing till the end.
Thank you to NetGalley and OrangeSky Audio for allowing me to listen to this audiobook in exchange for my review and honest opinion.
Kill Me Tomorrow: A Psychological Thriller Britney King Ethan Lane is a Private Investigator. His latest case is a homicide case; a wealthy bachelor was murdered. It appears the killer locates victims on a dating app, Beacon; Ethan goes undercover. During his investigation he meets a famous sex therapist, Ali. While she may help others with their bedroom problems, Ali’s love life is suffering. Ali is a married woman who has one-night stands. She is a successful businesswoman with offices in several cities; her clients are satisfied with her help. Ali wants more! She wants anticipation, adventures, and danger. Ali educates her female clients in how to be seductive and how to find erotic gratification. Ali has a insatiable carnal hunger, she loves men! She enjoys bondage sporadically. She uses men for her sexual pleasure and for material gratification. She has met several high-profile men on the dating app. Ethan is a divorced father of three, in need of money. He has been hired by Camille to investigate her father’s death which is listed as suicide; she suspects he was murdered. Ethan has been on the case for several months; he has a lead suspect, a woman. There is a connection between all the victims…Beacon the dating app. Could Ali be the serial killer? She is influential, devious and everything Ethan wants in a woman. There is much more to Ethan’s story. This is a psychological thriller. Author Britney King is a talented author capable of bringing her characters to life. In “Kill Me Tomorrow” Brown has created a complex, multi-dimensional female lead in Ali. Ethan is also a well fleshed out character. The story is told through three points of view: Ali, Ethan and an unknown person. There are several twists and turns and the ending may surprise you.
This psychological thriller by Britney King gripped me from the very get-go. The audiobook narration was quite compelling and really did a great job of connecting you to to the characters. I found this to be a very quick listen that only took a few hours, but I actually felt at the end that it had so much more potential to be something great. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed this until the murderer was revealed and then I felt like it took a steep dive and made very little sense to me. It just began to feel unrealistic and I was not at all satisfied with the ending, which was a huge bummer after really enjoying everything leading up to it. I felt that the length of the book really hurt it and with some more development of the main characters this had the potential to really shock readers. However, the ending fell completely flat. I was fully expecting to rate this 5 stars and was waiting for the final reveal that never came. After such a well developed main twist, I was pretty disappointed by such a confusing and almost boring ending. I am still just sitting here shocked by what a turn of events this was, coming from such a high when the murderer was revealed to such a disappointing low ending. This won't prevent me from reading more from Britney King as I thoroughly enjoyed the novel up until that point. Thank you to NetGalley and OrangeSky Audio for this advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.
This book is about Ethan, a former FBi agent turned PI, and Ali, a sex therapist who is famous for her conferences and books on sexual pleasure. Ethan is hired to investigate a death of a wealthy man but discovers that this death might actually be one in a string of murders. As he is looking for a killer, he meets Ali while he is undercover and they have instant chemistry. But could she be guilty in the crimes he is trying to solve?
The premise of this book really interested me from the description. I liked it and I thought the twist was interesting. However, I had a really hard time with the narration on this book. I read about 75-80% on audiobooks so this method isn’t new for me. I had a hard time deciphering who was speaking and whose POV we were in. I had to keep rewinding chapters and started over several times. I think this book would have been better suited to a dual narrator. I finished it because I wanted to see what happened but it was difficult. If I hadn’t been given this to read and review, I probably would have stopped listening and moved on to something else – maybe picked it up in ebook or print from the library instead.
Thank you @NetGalley and @OrangeSkyAudio for the opportunity to read and review this advanced reader copy.
Kill Me Tomorrow by Britney King is an extremely addictive psychological thriller that is fast paced, twisty and a bit steamy.
P.I. (former FBI agent) Ethan is hired to investigate the suspicious suicide of a wealthy bachelor. It soon becomes clear that it wasn't suicide and there are other victims. One thing they all have in common is being on dating apps. When Ethan goes undercover he is shocked to meet Ali a famous sex guru. He is extremely attracted to her. He doesn't see the problem pursuing her except that she might be a killer.
I was completely invested in this story. Narrator Patrick Zeller gave Ethan the perfect balance of self depreciating attitude and honest awareness of his self sabotage with his tone and humor. I really enjoyed his portrayal of Ali's sarcastic snobbery believing she is always the smartest person in the room.
The twists are deliciously jaw dropping though sometimes reality needs to be suspended for some of them such as Ethan's complete ignorance of social media and dating apps. For fans of a fun distracting psychological thriller Kill Me Tomorrow is perfect for today.
I received a free copy of this audiobook from the publisher Orangesky Audio via NetGalley for a fair and honest review. All opinions are my own.
First of all, the title doesn't seem to fit this novel and may actually be doing it a disservice. That aside, I'm surprised by how much I like this book. For the first 30% or so I thought the main characters were too cliche and considered the pacing more on the slow side. I actually said if things didn't pick up soon I'd be adding this book to my did-not-finish list. I guess the book gods heard me because the more I read the more I found myself enjoying this book. It got to a point where I'd frequently admit it was getting late but I just couldn't put this down. By the time it got to the climax I was really eager to find out how Ethan's confrontation with Ali would go. I was so engrossed in the writing that I didn't actually put thought into possible outcomes and I was absolutely floored by the events as a result. I actually went over the chapter twice, it's like my mind didn't comprehend around what I read the first time around. This is more of a 4 but the fact I somehow missed a key detail made me so happy I'm rounding to 5.
Thank you Netgalley for giving me a free audio copy of the book for my honest review.
I'd like to thank NetGally and OrangeSky Audio for providing me the audiobook version of Kill Me Tomorrow.
Kill Me Tomorrow is a story of an ex investigator who is traumatized by the death of his daughter. He's now divorced and he sometimes sees his other two children. He doesn't feel like he's cut out to be a father but he loves his children dearly. When he hears about the unusual murders - all somehow connected to an elite dating app, he returns for one more investigation. That's how he meets Ali, the sex therapist/guru. The fact that she's only interested in one night stands and more importantly, the fact that she might be a serial killer doesn't put him off the idea that he wants to have sex with her.
This is a steamy, kinky thriller with dynamic, psychopathic characters. Their actions and morale is questionable and that definitely does not stop them from having sex, lots of unhinged sex.
The story is told by three different points of view: Ethan, Ali and an unknown character (who is revealed in the end).
I consumed this book in an audiobook format and I really liked the narrator. Nevertheless, I think that the story would have been better if there were two narrators - male and female, instead of just one, male narrator. If you listen to audiobooks sped up 2x or even 2.5x times the narrator may sound breathy and his voice comes out rather whispery, so you won't understand him properly.
𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲: 2/5 What I disliked about the story was the ending. 𝐍𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫: 4.8/5 The narrator was excellent!
Firstly thank you to @Netgalley and @OrangeSkyAudio for the free audio version of this book for a free and honest review. Ethan Lane is a retired FBI Profiler. After a home invasion is the cause of a family tragedy. Ethan now runs his own private detective agency. Ethan is hired by a young woman to investigate her fathers death who was a wealthy bachelor. Ethan doesn’t expect to find himself involved in a string of murders, all of them men seeming to use the same popular dating app. With help from his friend in the police still and his female assistant he sets out to investigate by putting himself on the dating app hoping he may find a suspect. Ali is a sex therapist/guru famous for her work helping others find pleasure. Ethan on his undercover operation finds himself on a date with Ali. Not only does Ali become his number one suspect but she also becomes the woman of his dreams. This was a good little listen, it didn’t grab me how I’d of liked but still a good story line a couple of moments of ‘is she ? isn’t she ? That I’m sure most will enjoy.
