It was a secret worth killing for. And it just crash-landed in his backyard.
From the action-packed adventure series full of nonstop twists, turns, and thrills comes a new short novel.
When a plane crashes near Harvey Bennett's home in Alaska, he races to the scene to provide help to anyone who might have survived. He quickly realizes that the pilot may not be who he says he is.
And he's also not the only one around.... someone else is looking for the pilot. And for his cargo.
Who are they, and what do they want from him?
And why are they trying to kill him?
The Phoenix Project is a short novella in the bestselling Harvey Bennett Thrillers series. Meant to be enjoyed as a standalone story, it fits between existing novels in the series.

Nick Thacker serves up a fine sample of the Harvey Bennett series in The Phoenix Project. If you open this novella on Kindle, it may tell you that you have two and a half hours of reading. That’s short, but you’ll spend only half that time on the novella. Added to the book is a teaser for the upcoming The Napoleon Job and the first chapters of the first book in the Harvey Bennett series, The Enigma Strain. So, you are getting three samples of Thacker in one. As such, it’s a good place to start.
Ben is at home relaxing with Julia when they hear about a crashed plane near their home in Alaska. Since they are closest and winter is here, Ben decides that he should try and get to the wreck as they have located it by satellite, in case anyone needs help. When he arrives things are not what they seem and why is he being shot at... The novella is rather short, but opens up an interesting storyline that will hopefully be explored in a future novel?
This is a very quick read and furthers the story of Harvey Bennett and is an appetizer for what l hope will be a full-blown novel. I have been following this series from the beginning and love it. Thacker is a good writer and his stories are rich and characters are well developed. I am very much looking forward to the full novel!
This a very short story but it has a lot packed into it. A small plane crashes in the Alaskan wilderness near Bens cabin. He takes the snowmobile out to see if anyone survived the crash. Once he get there the action starts fast and furious. I have not read anything else from the author but based on this I will read more. Highly recommend it.
What do you do when a small airplane crashes into the Alaskan wilderness just a short distance from your home? That's what Harvey Bennett and his wife Juliette decide and what they discover will surprise you!
Really like all his books, and this one is good. Love the action and the story line, along with the characters. Some likeable, some hateful! Full of twists, turns and great reading.
Once part of a Holiday anthology, this stand-alone novella joins settled newly weds Ben and Juliette on their Alaska cabin near the Chugach wilderness at the Holiday season.
A great blend of challenging outdoor adventure, high-tech gadgetry, and an airplane crash rescue complicated by government and corporate entanglement. This novella is a fitting addition to the Harvey Bennett saga.
