I love this series. Plenty of action, an old murder to solve, a new murder to solve, rich people doing bad things, rock and roll bands, a Florida Keys setting, a big twist at the end and a trip to Hollywood. And don't forget the sex. And somehow the author manages to publish a new book every month.

Like everyone else I really like this series. It's quick, easy entertainment. The one beef I have with the whole series is Mr. Ellis' seeming lack of knowledge of Florida law or disregard thereof. In several books he has made allusion to underage sex and in this book he has done the same thing and is incorrect. I refer to the section of the book where they question the 22 year old about his relationship with a 17 year old and Tyson and JD are telling him she's too young. Not true. In Florida, the age of consent is 18 years old, sexual intercourse with someone who is under 18 is considered statutory rape. There is a close-in-age exemption (Romeo & Juliet Law) allowing minors who are 16 or 17 to have sex with someone no older than 23 years old. Apparently Mr. Ellis is unaware of this statute or thinks his readers are.

HAZARDOUS WASTE AND A DIRTY PROSECUTOR

Tyler and JD go “treasure hunting”and discover a rusty barrel marked as containing hazardous waste materials. Shortly afterwards, the duo attend a retirement party for a fellow deputy, who ends up being shot to death with a machine gun on his last day on duty. Following this, many of Coconut Keys feoolons are buying “get out of jail free” carde by making large donations to a charitable fund raising organization. Just another typical interlude in the lives of Tyler and JD. (Of course, it goes without saying, JD’s Porsche takes another hit. JD’s luck with his Porsche is ALMOST as bad as Stephanie Plum’s luck with any vehicle, except the big, blue Buick!)

Another Wild Adventure

Tyson and J.D. are back at it again in another rollicking escapade with beautiful women,
deadly encounters, and a fast-paced adventure that will leave you racing through the pages until the end. And then you will have to have the next book in the series.

LOVE THIS SERIES!

I am not sure how Tripp Ellis writes so quickly, but I am thrilled that there is always the next one waiting when I finish one! The plots are different and never boring!

Book 28 in the series

Tyson and Jack find a sunken 55 gallon drum labeled “toxic chemicals” that is much more than that. There are other bad things going on in Coconut Key. A great story.
