Have you ever dreamed of being a hacker?
Dive into the life of a spunky, charismatic girl next door with Sam (Samantha), she is an only child of a broken family and has a truly devoted father who has raised her from a very young age. She is smart, kind, pretty and has that spark that you just can't pin down. To anyone who meets her, she is just a good-hearted teenager who just wants to finish school and go to college. She does well at school, has a couple of close friends and is far from what you would call the popular girls. She truly fits the average girl next door stereotype.
If you are looking at the fake life she lets the world see you would be right in thinking that was the case. However, she has a secret life. She has spent years living two lives, one as Sam for the world to see and one as Foresight, to Sam this is her true life where she is a truly gifted hacker. She has this ability where she can close her eyes and focus on a target. When she does, something happens, she can’t explain it, and something in her mind’s eye just kicks in. I know it sounds strange but it’s just like a hidden part of her awakens and the path will just reveal itself to her. She has never found a system she could not bend to her will if she put her mind to it. She is the essence of a true hacker, a true magician of sorts in these dark recesses of the web not many dares to enter.
Foresight and Sam never mix. This is something that Sam goes to extreme lengths to ensure. These two very different lives however may be veering towards an unstoppable collision course. She has recently become more daring in here attacks and feels like someone is watching her. She has caught a glimpse of a black SUV at school but doesn't know if she is just getting paranoid or if the threat is real.
Jump on board this twisting journey, take a swim through the deep dark corners of the hacker world and find out what this girl is made of. Does she have what it takes to survive or is she in above her head? I guess time will tell but one thing we can be certain of is that the journey is going to be challenging, possibly revealing her true gift, more powerful than she had ever imagined. Her gift is more than just intuition, there is much more to it than that.
Foresight is book one of the hacker fantasy series. Book two will follow in 2021-22. Buy the book you will love it then leave a review so that everyone else that is considering the book, know they will love it as well.

To see the world from different viewpoints is one of the great purposes of literature and this fictional story about Sam, a female hacker is an important one.
The author Craig Ford has developed an absolutely amazing character in 'Sam', her escapades hacking into classified systems, dealing with shadowy government figures such as 'the general' and her adventures trying to track down a world class hacker (before he tracks her down) is an absolute page turner that I could not put down.

A brilliant book, exceptional character development and I truly hope we see many more novels from Craig Ford in the future.

A good story. An easy read, but with lots of typing errors...

As a cyber crime analyst and former Federal Agent and lawyer who specialised in cyber issues, I lived Foresight. It’s an easy read that does not overwhelm with technical jargon but has you hooked as the book progresses at a good pace. The final hook has me wanting to line up for a possible sequel to Foresight. Some of the twists are somewhat imaginative but believable in this digital age. Well worth buying or gifting to a young cyber enthusiast in your family. Well done Craig.

Fantastic novel, really enjoyed it. Treated the Cyber domain well. Fast moving story, with reasonably short chapters to keep you moving along with the fast pace of the plot. A lot of people would love one of those _____ cars. What a fantastic imagination to link all background elements into a ripping yarn. So good, with an amazing final chapter, I immediately ordered the second installment ..... SHADOW.

The teenage character of Foresight is so likeable, I could easily visualise her as one of my own students. I had a lot of fun reading about her hacking exploits adventures and her thinking processes as she made decisions that ultimately lead to consequences that she may not have expected. The brilliance of her character and the fast pace nature of the story line, kept me wanting more. After each chapter, I couldn't wait to read what would happen next. A very enjoyable read that would be suitable to a young adult audience. I would recommend this for high school libraries and as a gift for a teenager.
