A great addition to the Driven World series.
This is the first book I've read by the author. This is a well-written story filled with angst, drama, and emotions. Luca and Neveah’s story is entertaining because of their sparks and explosive and undeniable chemistry. I enjoyed reading their story because it has great storyline.

I’ve read quite a few of Lyssa Cole’s books and so far, she’s never failed to make me love them. If anything, I just can’t get enough of her writing. She is such a talented writer and whilst I never think she needs to improve on her writing, she ends up doing it on her own as I know she wants each book to be just as amazing as the last one. This time was no different and even though I don’t normally read motorsports books, but when I do, I can’t help but enjoy them, but Lyssa has taken a complete turn and made this book her own. Honestly, I’m so proud at how far along she’s come, she’s always ready to jump into something or tackle a genre or world that she’s never experienced, but that just makes me love her writing more. Honestly, I’ve never read any of the books written by K. Bromberg, nor have I read any of the books from her Driven World Series, but honestly, I’m so content at just reading this book that it sets so many levels for the other books in that world. However, if you’ve read any of those books but not tried Lyssa’s work before, then I’d suggest giving this a try because it has everything you could ask for, a cocky hot sexy bad boy, a focused smart intelligent woman who is putting everyone first instead of looking out for herself, there’s the love-hate chemistry between the two, and so much more. What more could you ask for? I loved everything in this story and I was hooked from the moment I picked up the book, I thought both Luca and Neveah are both great characters and they both don’t let the real world see their true selves, yet whilst they’re both quick to judge the other, they have a lot more in common than they both realise. There was nothing that I found that I thought was out of place, if anything you can tell that this plot was thought out quite well and you can see the passion that Lyssa has for her stories in her writing. I honestly can’t wait to see what else Lyssa comes up with because everything I’ve read so far, I’ve literally loved.
Neveah knows her job more than anyone, yet it doesn’t stop her brother and dad from questioning some of her choices. She’s known for bringing in the best drivers and working with them and getting the best out of them. But when she’s making the choice about offering Luca a deal with them, nearly everyone but her best friend is questioning her judgement. Luca is known as the party boy, who likes to have a good time and is constantly getting himself into some type of drama and he’s pretty much always on the front page news… Neveah’s dad and brother aren’t sure that due to his reputation if Luca will be a great choice for their business, but Neveah is determined to prove them wrong. She understands that his reputation is a bit of an issue, but if everything works out the way she wants them too, then no one will be questioning her choices again. However, after one meeting with Luca she decides that he’s the exact person she thought of him to be, but she’s not willing to be messed around. Will Luca take the offer that she’s offering him or is she set to have made the wrong choice in beginning to have a little bit of faith in him???? What happens when it appears there may be more to both Luca and Neveah after just that one meeting???
Luca is a driver that Neveah wants her family business to sponsor. He’s good and she’s able to make a great offer but they HATE each other. I mean really get under each other’s skin in a big way. Of course this means that they get involved. The tension of this book sucks the reader in and you feel it every step. It pulls you in so much that I couldn’t put it down.
This is part of an entire series (The Driven World) and I think my early confusion wouldn’t have existed if I had read the series. Overall the relationship and events more than make up for that confusion and makes for a great read.
Diesel was absolutely wonderful! Neveah Walker wants to save her family business by sponsoring bad boy, race car driver, Luca DeMello. There's this attraction between them but they each get under the others skin. There's a fine line between hate and love and these two walk it, until they don't. He's so cocky and she's so sassy. The bond growing between them felt real and I loved watching them come to the conclusion with their feelings. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves a hot, sexy, cocky alpha and a strong, smart beautiful woman with some hot and steamy sex!
Arc for honest review - Diesel was absolutely amazing, once I started reading it was almost impossible to put it down .this is a enemies to lovers romance which happens to be one of my very favorite tropes in romance. Nevah and Lucas story was one of a kind I loved watching as there relationship grew throughout the book , Diesel is filled with Tension , angst , Drama and intensity, all woven together to create a unbelievable story with fascinating characters , that will keep you on the edge of your seat .
There is plenty of tension and sparks to be had as this enemies to lovers romance unfolds. Neveah and Luca certainly grabbed my attention and held it as their relationship evolved. Drama, intensity, angst and emotion are blended and woven throughout a well written storyline that had me resistant to the mere idea of having to put the book down when real life called. I'm electing to post a candid review.
Diesel was my first book that I read that is set in the Driven World (and not written by K.Bromberg), and I need to go read more.
Overall, I truly enjoyed Diesel. Seeing how Luca and Neveah started this relationship. Back when they absolutely despised each other, yet there was that spark that neither could truly deny. Then witnessing the relationship progress, but neither wanting to admit to it. Even their inevitable fight. I was here for all of it.
One thing I would have liked to see more of within the book, was more about Luca and Neveah's business relationship. I wanted to see them working together, and see how Neveah was changing things for Luca. But we didn't get that. (and that's okay! I fully understand not everything can be included in a book.)
Luca is a racing driver bad boy, his reputation precedes him, but he needs to get back on track and sort himself out. Neveah is little miss bossy boots, and works for her family business, they are struggling and she needs to have Luca sign with them for sponsorship. This could save them both, but will their love/hate relationship tear them apart.
A great story! I haven't read any of the other books in the series but I enjoyed this one. The hate these two seem to have for each other turns into some seriously hot flames. I love how their story was written. A definite page turner. Luca is the bad boy of the race world and Neveah's family decides to sponsor him for their family business. The sparks are flying immediately and draw you in.
Lots of sparks flying around in this story which made for a brilliant read. This had everything I love all in a perfectly written read. I couldn't put it down. I loved absolutely everything about it.
Ive read a few of the driven world books and this over runs along side nicely. The bad boy driver and the good girl, the brains the savvy business woman... She loses all sense with him around and tbf I wanted to hate him but I couldn't
Luca is an arrogant brat, whose ass I just wanted to spank! Neveah is no nonsense, workaholic who could use a good spanking. It's no surprise these two butted heads, but the chemistry between them demands to be acknowledged. I love, love, love this book!

This book is part of The Driven World Series and I really enjoyed it. Loved the relationship and interaction between Lucas and Nevaeh. Looking forward to more books in this series.
A great story set in the race world. Neither character wants anything to do with the other but they definitely need each other. The chemistry of the characters is off the chart! You will not be disappointed!
This was such a great story. I loved the pull they had towards each other. The forbiddeness in the story was great. There was a lot of drama which made the story fun. It was well written and a great read.
Wow the sparks from Nevaeh and Luca! These two hate each other until they loved. I haven't read any other books in this world but this one makes me want yo go and check them out. Awesome!

Get in and buckle up we are ready to dive into another couple in the Driven World. This is Neveah Walker and Lucas DeMello and they are sizzling on the track. Neveah is part of the family tire business and they are looking for a driver to sponsor and low and behold unbeknownst to her they chose a track bad boy! Lucas DeMello is cocky, arrogant, a playboy and sex on a stick so when he is called on to by Walker Tire he is not feeling it but when he sees the beautiful woman in the halls of the business he is curious. When these two meet oh yes their is physical attraction but they butt heads at every turn. There is a fine line between love and hate and it is going to get very blurry if they act on impulse! Once they scratch that itch can they keep it business and no pleasure ...let's wait and see!! ~~Michele McMullen ~~
I was hooked from the first chapter. There is something special with fast cars and their drivers. This one especially - Luca is one of the most cocky guys you can meet. Still Nev sees through him, even of it takes a while.... It was hard to put it down. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book
This book was SO FREAKING GOOD! I LOVE enemies-to-lovers romances, and this one was no different. 😍 It caught my attention from the beginning and held it until the end. I low-key didn't really want to put it down, but I had to. 🙄 Overall, it was a great book. I very much enjoyed reading it, and would 10/10 recommend it. :)
We are all afraid to let someone in our heart after it’s been destroyed, it’s our defense mechanism. But sometimes someone wiggles their way into it and won’t let go. It took me a few chapters to warm up to Luca but once he won me over I was a goner. Anytime I get a newsletter from Lyssa Cole with her next release I get excited and the wait was definitely worth it again. I absolutely loved Luca and Nev. 🖤🔥🏁🔥🖤
“Why do I feel the way I do when I’m around you?” he whispers as he drags one finger along my jawline and down my neck. “I can’t stand you, yet there’s this pull…” His words trail off, and that’s when I look up. I shouldn’t have. I really fucking shouldn’t have. Because when his smoldering eyes full of blazing heat meet mine, it’s like an explosion between us.
