As Art's combat tour enters its final few months, he starts to doubt the mission and everything that it stands for. With mounting Air Cav losses and an adept enemy that never seems to quit, he frequently questions where, when and how will it all end. Maybe the loss of his Colonel and his girlfriend to the VC probably hasn't helped matters, but somewhere in Art's mind things are going very wrong, and only the loyalty that he has to his friends is keeping him going in a war that nobody believes that they will win.
