As person who use Indonesian as first language, I got so many new vocabularies here! I opened the dictionary to understand the strange words but then amazed since the diction was so georgeous. The most thing makes me adore this poems is analogical with nature phenomena like spring, raindrops, ocean, firmament, roots, and so on.

I catched the poems as story of me. As human being who have desires, lust, feeling, we have to pass a long journey to find out what we put as expectations. But, in the middle of our wandering, we found pain, wounds, sadness, and flaws. We need take our time to realize that's all called honesty.

Like the title of the book, the closing poem entitled BLOOM was fascinated me because the end tells that the end is not the end. After a long journey of a search for love, happiness, and serenity, there is still hope to grow, bloom, become a stunning beauty, be strong and extraordinary. But it becomes an unwritten story. That is, there are still many blank pages that need to be filled with ink to become a "complete human".

Thanks to writer for spreading your love through your writing! I'm on my way to find my courage of stand unshaken.

This poetry collection was very well thought out and put together. As a poet myself, I really feel like the language that was used in this collection was absolutely beautiful. If you feel like you need to be inspired or encouraged to become a new you, this is definitely the collection that you need to read! I could go back and read it over and over! I definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys poetry.

'Bloom' by Adrienne Nugent-Marcoux is one of the books that you would immediately want to memorize forever and quote in your social media feed.
These are poems that strike through your heart.
These are poems that make you re-think your aspirations.
These poems are so true to life regardless of who you are - whether you are a reserved or a super emotional person who wears their heart on their sleeve. Everyone will find this empathy familiar and strangely relieving.

We all have that people who we look up to. And follow.
This book is concentrated on emotions, on what we wanted to have but maybe couldn't achieve for a long time. And the future is still uncertain - but there's grace in it.
The poems sound like emotions frozen in time, or a flower dried in bloom.
Beautiful, forever.

High, light-filled verses float like sun rays on the water, reaching upon deepest depths.
What can you learn from this book?
We all have our difficult times. But maybe the happy future is around the corner - have some patience! And bring up the best in you, for the person you're becoming.

Many thanks for the author for releasing this book 💜

Thank you to Booktasters and the author for sending me this copy!

This was such a beautiful collection of poetry. I was drawn into it by the lovely cover and I'm so happy about that. The book has themes of grief, sadness, hope, and beauty. The poems are short and sweet. I loved the fact that there were so many poems that were inspired by nature. These ones I felt like was I was transported to that scenery when I was reading them, the words used were very simple yet impactful. You can tell how much effort and emotion the author poured into this book.

My favorite poems were: Darius, Expectations, Raindrops, and Quiet. The combination of words and the emotions behind them in these poems were impeccable.

Bloom is a very beautifully mastered collection of poems. To say I was hooked from the first page would be an understatement!
The poems get a reader to experience a wave of different emotions: from sadness; to grief; to happiness; to being in love; to heartbreak. It is safe to conclude that I was able to relate to most of the poems as they managed to take me down memory lane to different seasons of my life.
As a poem reader and lover, the only thing I can complain about is that some of the poems were too short and left me yearning for more.
Overall, the book is not only a mastered literature, piece it's also a beautiful art piece that deserves to be on top shelves!
Much thanks to Adrienne for an amazing book, looking forward to more work by her!

The humble size of this book is not to be misjudged. The author has packed it full of depth that may indeed have you enjoying more than one of these beautiful poems.

The range of emotions that I felt from them, I think is key in poetry. Are they connecting with the reader? An important question. One that the author answers admirably well.

In my humble opinion, she is awesome at her work, taking her craft seriously. These are obviously not ramblings thrown together by an amateur. She knows what she's doing.

I know I'm looking forward to reading her next one.

LYRICAL POETRY:
Adrienne T. Nugent's first book 'Bloom - A Poetry Chapbook' of 22 inspiring and nicely structured poems, let me dive into the ups and downs of life and thus the opportunities it provides to grow and flourish.
I think, she is a very talented writer and has laid a solid foundation with this debut, still being able to increase in literary density and gain a little more profundity in her future projects.
Best Wishes & many thanks to the BOOKTASTERS and to Adrienne T. Nugent for the free copy in exchange for an honest review.
