A Curvy Girl Sweet & Steamy Secret Identity Romantic Comedy

COURTNEY
Fictional couples surround me every day, working at a bookstore. And yet, even after reading a lifetime worth of romance, I still can't get my own love life in order. But at my book club meeting, when I accidentally knock hot coffee onto the lap of the cute nerd at the next table, my luck might be about to change. Will I finally be able to find my own happily ever after?

MAX
I find inspiration in some of the unlikeliest places, but a nasty case of writer's block has a deadline fast approaching with zero words written. Then I stumble on a book club at my local coffee shop where I write, and the ideas start to flow. When one of the members catches my eye, the line begins to blur between real life and fiction.

THE NICE GIRLS' NAUGHTY BOOK CLUB series are short, sweet, and steamy standalone romantic comedies about curvy women who enjoy reading naughty books, stepping out of their comfort zones, and finding love in unlikely places. Read COURTNEY if you like secret identity, hot nerdy guys and as steamy romantic comedy that you won't want to put down. No cheating. No cliffhangers. HEA guaranteed.

Length: Lunch Break Read

Series: THE NICE GIRLS' NAUGHTY BOOK CLUB 4 (Stand Alone but Connected)
Ending: HEA
Re-read? No

“I can only stand there in shock at how quickly this situation turned. I woke up happy and in love—but now I’ve lost it all.”

I thought this book had a really good concept. That’s probably why I was so disappointed in the delivery. There was nothing wrong with it, per se. It just fell a little flat for me. The idea is that a male romance writer, who uses a female pen name, has been creeping on the book club for weeks to get inspiration for his new story. He has also developed a major crush on Courtney. They finally interact by Courtney spilling a bunch of coffee in his lap and inappropriately, and hilariously, drying to wipe it up.

As I said, super cute idea. The story was just a bit flat. There was nothing that made me feel connected to either of the characters. This is probably my least favorite of the series right alongside the Quinn book.

Es nesaprotu, kāpēc autore nevienu no šīs sērijas idejām nav izvērsusi normālas grāmatas garumā. Stāsts un varoņi no tā tikai iegūtu.

Courtney and her friends are at their favourite cafe when Courtney spills Mochas all over him. After he leaves they find a book on his table and decide it should be their next read for their book club. Max notices Courtney but he has a secret and is afraid of the backlash once it comes out. This was an entertaining quick read. The characters are cute together and have great chemistry. Loved this series. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The Juiciest Fruit

COURTNEY is the fourth book in THE NICE GIRLS' NAUGHTY BOOK series and this one will set your panties on fire as Courtney finds out she was lied to by her ex, about a very important thing. Luckily for her she meets Max, well really she spilled two large cups of cocoa in his lap and then felt him up tried to dry it, at the last book club meeting at the coffee shop. What Courtney does not know is that Max has a very big secret of his own. Courtney works at a bookstore and loves being surrounded by the books and the endless possibilities they represent. At work she has been given the responsibility to ensure that both Maxine Devore's and her assistant Max have everything they need and that nothing goes wrong.
Max Devers has a career that most men would never dream of. But growing up the only boy with three older sisters and raised by his grandmother he has "a unique insight into the female mind". So putting that along with the fact that he loved to read anything that he was able to led him to becoming a romance author. He has successfully published six bestselling books in the last three years under the pen name Maxine Devore. But he is now suffering a major case of writers block. So he has taken to going to his favorite coffee shop and it is there that he happened to discover a table of women who were a book club, a naughty book club.
Max and Courtney may have met at the coffee shop that day but it is not until a week later when Maxine Devore is to do a book signing at the local bookstore that their paths cross again. What Courtney does not know is that Max is actually Maxine and Maxine is actually a community theater actress. But this book signing is going to be anything but normal and lead to all sorts fun, exploration and satisfaction. Along the way there will be miscommunications, secrets, revelations, some very juicy fruit, romance, friends and a a sweet HEA.

This series is about five ladies who get together to start their own naughty book club. Along the way each of the women find their very own naughtiness with a handsome and sexy man and all the fun and happiness that follows. I really loved this story as it was so sweet and charming at the same time it was blushing red naughty and smexy as all heck.

Courtney hasn’t had the best luck in her love life and looks forward to her weekly book meetings with her friends at the local coffee house. She accidently comes across what is going to be the clubs next epic read when she spills coffee all over the hot nerdy guy sitting at the next table. And when he leaves a book behind the subject is one that intrigues her and when she realises that the little bookshop that she works at is holding a meet and greet with the author they know that they have just found the next read. It isn’t until the day of the event that she sees the man she doused with coffee and she can feel something special brewing between them. Could this be her happily ever after or will she discover that the man she thought she was falling for is nothing but a façade?

Max is suffering from writers block and his agent and publisher are both losing patience with him but things have been looking up since he discovered a book club meeting at the local coffee house however when he is suddenly doused with two cups of scalding coffee he needs to escape, even though he has just been felt up by a cute girl. Writing romance as a man is a no no so he has had a pen name since he started so when his agent insists on a signing with an actress playing him but the day that he finds the same woman from the coffee shop and he can see that there is something special about her and what they could have but will she forgive his deception or is that one step too far?

This was a little different from the other books in the series, more emotion and I have to say this is my favourite so far, I wanted them together from page one and couldn’t wait to get to their ending and I wasn’t disappointed. If you don’t read the rest of the series I would definitely recommend you read this one.

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with!
By the time you’ve figured out who is who and how deep hate can run, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter!

Can’t say I didn’t warn you.

Courtney works at the bookstore, loves to read, loves books in general and belonging to the book club was a no brainer for her. She accidently spills hot coffee on the guy sitting next to their book club table …well she spills hot coffee twice on the same guy so because of him and their mishap led them to choose one of his books although, they didn’t know it was his book they choose. Max is a romance writer (with writer’s block for now), sexy as all get out and has secrets. Courtney loves romance but men in reality don’t match what she has read in so many of her romance novels. The chemistry is instant, and the magnetic pull is too intense to ignore but what Max doesn’t tell Courtney is the truth of who he is when she finds out on her own will she understand his reasoning, will she forgive him, and will they have happiness?

As Max is sitting at the cafe where the group of girls sit and discuss naughty books they read. While sitting there one of the girls spills two HOT coffees on my lap. While trying to help clean up she gets awful close to a body part. Max leaves to go home to take a shower. After leaving he left his book and Courtney picked it up and told the book club that this will be the one they read.
Max is actually a author that has writers block and that's why he was sitting there at the cafe hoping to get inspired. Max gets a call saying that he should do a book signing, not wanting to do it, he agrees to have a decoy to fill in for Max. He uses a pen name but doesn't want everyone to know. After having Dinner and a great night with Courtney he made a mistake by leaving his computer open and Courtney sees what he didn't want anyone knowing. She's upset and leaves and he is upset he didn't tell her the truth. He makes a confession on his social media page. He apologizes to Courtney and confesses he is in love with her. She reads it and as she's leaving to find Max and he's at her house with open arms. Now they are living with no more secrets and a HEA.

The fourth installment of Lana Dash's wonderfully entertaining The Nice Girls' Naughty Book Club series tells Courtney's story. After spilling a couple mugs of hot coffee into the lap of the hot nerd at the next table over, Courtney picks up the book he left behind and finds the latest read for her friends' book club. When the author then plans a book signing at the bookstore where she works Courtney finds herself enamoured with the writer's assistant, Max - who happens to be the hot nerd from the coffee shop. Max, meanwhile, had noticed Courtney long before she spilled coffee all over him, and as they chat at the book signing, he finally works up the nerve to ask her out. Courtney's past relationship has left her with a lot of baggage, but Max quickly proves to her what real men are willing to do for their women. Max and Courtney are super sweet and steamy together, and this is a highly entertaining instalove romance, another wonderful addition to this fun series!

Hoho so good 😊

I really enjoyed Courtney and Max! Dash did a sweet little number on this book! I was wondering if the nerd with the burned 🏀🏀 would be the next male lead and he was 🤣. Poor guy. I’m sure she kissed and soothed it for him and said sorry properly 😈😏. Book was sweet, I was wondering how he’d dig himself out of the hole he was digging because she was already use to dishonesty and going into a nee relationship on a lie. First off, men….no, no…boys, if you don’t like to do that… son, I have no words for you…either you’ve been with some nasty 🐡 finding nemo girls that need a bleach 🛀 then make better choices or you truly suck lol 😂. Women, if you’ve never experienced anything pleasurable from that then I also apologize on behalf of these Cretans that aren’t doing their jobs. 😔 because bears 🐻 and their 🍯 well nevermind 🤨. Anyways! Moving along! This book was just amazingly cute! Haha now I’m blushing ☺️. This Shy 🐻 gave this book 5 🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒 because it was warranted 😁 don’t judge me too harshly 🤗

Courtney has never had a man go down on her, her ex told her men don’t do that. When she accidentally causes a waiter to spill hot coffee on the hot nerd at a nearby table she finds her next book club book. It’s about a woman getting satisfaction from a man giving oral. Max has been secretly spying on the girls book club meetings, he’s an author that writes romance and erotic novels under the pen name Maxine. Suffering from writers block his agent decides to use an actress to play Maxine to get him motivated when he sees his fans. The book signing is at the coffee shop Courtney works at. Funny events unfold with the actress, Courtney’s help makes the event a success. Max asks her out and they have a fun date that leads to sexy tines at his house, including oral for Courtney. When she finds out Max’s secret she’s mad and leaves, Max with Michelle’s help makes his grand gesture and wins Courtney back. Cute epilogue with them married and going to his next book signing.

Courtney ends up spilling two huge cups of coffee on the nerdy guy sitting at the table next to the Naughty Book Club meeting. He leaves but leave a book behind written by Maxine Devore. The group decides to give the book a try. In the meantime Max (who's writes as Maxine Devore) is having writer's block and his publisher talks him into a book signing. Courtney helps set everything up and ends up saving the day when the fake Maxine shows up drunk. Max is attracted to Courtney and finally asks her out and she is so happy that he did. They have an instant connection. Their chemistry is really hot but there was one thing that Max did that almost broke everything between them. Read and find out what it was. Courtney and the Naughty Book Club are meeting in the coffee shop again when she dumps two coffees onto Max at the next table. He has been listening to them, looking for inspiration for his book, which he is late on writing. Then, in crazy coincidence, there is a book signing at the book store she works at - for his books. When a drunk actress tries to appear for the book signing, it all starts to fall apart. The two characters romance skyrockets and then it falls flat. Loved the storyline and the situations they get into. The Club of good friends are wonderful support and work with Max to get Courtney back in the end. The twists gave the story a nice balance and the ending was perfect. Can not wait for the next book.

I am on the edge with book four in The Nice Girls' Naughty Book Club series. And let me tell you this one is for sure off the normal path of stories. These books are a kind of standalone but would so go better if they are read in order. That way you know who is who and what has happened and why they have a book club. This one has some drama but not too much. He has writer's block and finally gets inspiration when he overhears the girls talking. He is taken aback by her when she spills hot coffee on his lap. Later she learns something about him that he kept a secret. And she gets upset. When he tells her why he did it and kept that secret but was going to tell her, will she forgive him?

First things first; I really like the cover of this book!
Courtney is the fourth book in the ‘’nice girls naughty book club’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Max is a popular author with a pen name. When he meets Courtney, sparks fly but will she still want him when she learns his secret?
The chemistry between Courtney and Max is clear to see and I liked them together.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I hope for more books from this series.

This is the fourth book in The Nice Girl's/ Naughty Book series and is about Max and Courtney. Courtney who runs a bookstore is have a book club meeting at a cafe when she accidently spills hot coffee on the guy sitting next to their book club table, this then leads them to choose one of his books although, they didn’t know it was his book they choose. Max who is a romance author is suffering from writers block hides who he is when they meet again at a book signing by saying that he is the assistant for an author at a book signing. What will happen when she finds out who he is? Filled with humor, entertainment and a HEA! A short, sweet story and I would recommend this book to any book lover.

I thought that this was a really good book. Mx and Courtney were great together. I loved the connection and the chemistry between these two. Max hides behind his pen name when writing romance novels. Courtney and her club he sides to read one of Max's book and is ready to follow in the heroine's footsteps. There is a little bit of drama when Courtney discovers Max's secrets but these two are able to work things about and get a cute HEA. I would recommend this book, this series and Ms. Lana as a great author.

Courtney is a fun story to get lost in. The book club is meeting again trying to figure out the next book to read, when Courtney finds a book left from the gentleman that was there before coffee was spilled on him. What they did not realize the guy that left was a author who was having writers block.

Courtney and Max's tale will take you through the ups and down finding love and being who you are. I love how the character's meet, and the way Max noticed Courtney before she notice him. This book will have you smiling, even through their misunderstanding.

After throwing hot coffee on the lap of the hot nerdy sitting at the table next to Courtney and her friends, she takes the book he left on the table. The reading of that book is going to fulfill Courtney’s fantasies.
Max is a romance writer looking for inspiration to fight the so called author’s block.
I liked the idea of a man writing romance. I liked both Courtney and Max. I think this is the best in the series so far. Four stars and a half.

When you’re in a relationship and you were told that certain things don’t happen in a relationship or you find out that they lied that can be a problem. But you also cannot put your baggage or someone else. Courtney is very determined to find out on her own where the truth lies. Max has a way with words. Let’s just hope that his way of words does not come out as a straight out lie. Funny moments. No cliffhanger

Oh Max

Max is just….yum on a stick and Courtney is too cute for words. I loved their meet cute and how she didn’t recognize him at first, but he knew her and still wanted more.

Did she overreact, yes. Was there a good baggage story behind it, yes to that as well. However, I still think she should have gave him more time to speak on the how and why. Thank you Michelle for poking her nose in and helping heal the hearts. Now onto her story.

Courtney's story carries on from the end of Jess's and it is sweet, funny, a little sad and full of love. I loved the little twists in this and the connection and chemistry between Courtney and Max, they were so suited to each other. Great friends, funny moments and romance made this a nice little read for me.

I’m digging this series. These are all fun ladies I would love to be in a book club with. Courtney and Max actually meet at a coffee shop when she spills coffee on him. They are throw together again when he pretends to be the assistant for an author at a book signing. There is plenty of heat but also a big misunderstanding that leads to some drama. Very quick read but like this one a lot!

This is the fourth book in the Nice Girl's Naughty Book Club. It can be enjoyed as a standalone and is a short, steamy instalove story. Courtney is dealing with the lies her ex told her which makes her leery to trust men. Max is the cute coffeehouse nerd she spills coffee on. They meet again at the bookstore Courtney works at but Max has a secret he's keeping from Courtney?

This was a delightful read, I’ve enjoyed this Book Club. It definitely has some laughing moments along with friends who tell you the truths of how things should really be. The characters are well developed and and fun to see them on their journey. I enjoyed the ending as Courtney and Max grow with each other and take that step in putting themselves out there for that ultimate goal.

Cute book!

This series is really good. Even though this book is about Courtney, I feel its more about Max. Courtney spills coffee on Max and he goes home to change. His editor calls him and wants a book. Courtney works at the bookstore that he has a signing at. Its really cute and worth the read. I would suggest reading them in order though.
