On her 20th birthday, Mary Hepburn - daughter of the local magistrate - learns that she is to marry John Aitken, a much older man. Unhappy with this, Mary walks to the local moor to clear her mind. Instead, she meets and falls in love with the handsome Captain Ferintosh, when he saves her from whiskey smugglers. The situation gets even more complicated when Mary's father arrests Ferintosh. Soon, devious plans and mysteries begin to surface. But who is worthy of her love, and what secrets are the men around him hiding? This is the large print edition of The Name Of Love, with a larger font / typeface for easier reading.
Got interested late in the book. Liked Alexander and Mary chemistry that’s in chapter 14. However, this was the second time time I read material from this author and truly I don’t like her writing, it’s to wordy and a lot of description are unnecessary. Trying to follow the story with unnecessary information is very distracting. I wanted to give up reading this book so many times but I’m committed to a book regardless of its appeal, the only time I quite a book is of its improper nature and explicit sexual content. I only read clean books.
"La gente es rara vez lo que parece, en mí opinión y tenemos el hábito de colocar a menudo falsas y despectivas etiquetas a aquellos que escasamente conocemos .... A menudo estamos lejos de la verdad".
Una protagonista soñadora, que idealiza a su amor para darse un golpe con la realidad. Lelno de aventura.
This is a read you won't regret. This series is wonderful.. Give all the books a try.. You won't regret a single one I couldn't get enough of this one. Once I got started I couldn't stop til I finished it.
This author is not for me, I just didn’t like her style. I liked the H but the h was too immature and behaved in such a silly way that I lost interest in the story.
