What’s the worst that could happen? Where do your darkest fears lie?
This compelling story of an ordinary woman plunged into chaos with the birth of her twins became a best-selling, life-affirming memoir of what it means to be a family.
Heartbreaking and inspirational. Everyone who has never had a disabled person in their life, child or otherwise, should read this book. I never appreciated what life must be like to have a disabled child. In Niki Shisler’s words - it’s more than a roller coaster ride and she takes the reader on every twist and jolt and sideways and backwards move. She shows the joy, the love, the hope, the disappointments, the grief, the trials, the tribulations. I had tears streaming down my face so many times. I couldn’t put it down.
4⭐️ A book that more people should read! A well written, engaging and horrifically beautiful account of a woman's journey into motherhood & an 'atypical' family life. Something that's not always publicised, and certainly not in such a truthful and raw way.
When i first started reading this book .. i kinda found it boring as there was a lot of repetition and this morning when i found out that this book is a autobiography i felt horrible and promised myself to finish this book by the end of today!
I managed to keep my promise and rll enjoyed this book!
The basic plot is: its about a mother and wat she goes through with her disabled twins from which one of them dies after 7 months. Very intensely moving novel!!
