This story was dry...like burnt toast no butter dry.. What was acute romantic topic really just dragged and a host of very grown adults whom act an are treated like teens. The characters that I thought would be good in the beginning just faded away with my interest...
This story was weird. The way Gunner’s family is written makes them seem like a little cult running the town and Aria is their latest recruit. The “kids” are adults who seem unequipped to leave home. They all live on their parents’ property. Even when they are allowed to leave town, they stay at a place owned by their parents.
Aria also comes off as someone unable to function independently. So often she is being told what to do or what is going to happen for her. It’s meant to be interpreted as she’s just becoming part of the town, but it actually reads kind of creepy and controlling. The parents essentially make her go to NYC and act as a guide/nanny to their GROWN children when they send them on their little Rumspringa. Again, we’re supposed to think they like her and are trusting her with their children. Okay, except their children are all in their 20s. Overall, I felt so much of the family stuff was unnecessary. They had more drama than Aria and Gunner.
Another problem is the story is poorly-written with time jumps that don’t make sense. We had one conversation about Lena attending Thanksgiving. Suddenly, Thanksgiving has happened and it’s talked about like an afterthought. We didn’t even have Lena meeting Gunner or any of the Wilkins family. The resolutions to both Bonnie’s and Kayla’s stories were thrown-on and I’m assuming Tucker was forgotten about because he’ll be featured in the next book.
Overall, the main characters were not very engaging and their bond felt forced. Them getting married (rather suddenly, IMO) just felt like the author thought that’s what’s supposed to happen at the end of a romance novel to justify all the sex. Not a fan.

Great read. Loved it. Aria and Gunner’s characters were well suited. The family dynamics of this book made me want siblings that had my back the way the Wilkin’s had each other’s back. Lena and Aria seemed to be alone in the world but their bond was unbreakable. It seemed as though Gunner loved Aria on sight and vise versa. Bonnie had a jerk of a boyfriend and Kayla finally realized that not all people are sincere like family. Tucker is making a name for himself and I can’t wait to see what his future holds in the next book. There were two items that needed closure for me and that is Bonnie’s ex taking her credit card/ savings card and using her money like it was his and cheating on her. Personally, I would have prosecuted him for theft. And Kayla’s bullying, since they recorded it, those bullies should have been called out and lost their social media privileges.
I know this is close to the end but you want us to believe that Gunner spent the night out with Beth and they talked all night? Yeah, right. He said these weren't his real friends, yet he spent a whole night with them. Stupid Aria had eyes and sense enough to see that when they got out of the car and hugged it was intimate. He came with that bullshit story for clingy, whiny, desperate Aria who believed him. I like the way you wrote about Gunner's parents. I had already guessed what would happen to Bonnie and Kayla. You didn't expound on the bullying Kayla experienced. That should have been addressed with all the bullying going on today. Not a bad story, not something to write home about either. Tucker was a surprise. I am glad he made it.
I had lost my reading MOJO, and needed something light to read. This was perfect.
Gunner and Aria were a soft read, he's a country man and she wanted the country. Aria moved from upstate NY to the south end of NY where she met the Wilkins family. She and Gunner hit it off pretty quick once they were in the same space.
Read the book of you want an easy and light read. It was a good book, there was a couple of life lessons learned along the way...
Aria’s and Gunner are from two different worlds and station, yet upon their first encounter in the small town of Meadowick they both know they belong to each other! She’s from the city, not really fitting in and accepts a nurse’s position at the town’s living facility. He’s from the Wilkin family and they are each worth billions! She befriends Gunners twin sister, who is also a nurse and training Aria. Sparks begin to fly and their romance begins!
I really loved reading about Aria and Gunner! They seemed to have chemistry from the first time they laid eyes on one another. I loved how Aria was genuine around people no matter what! I know that everyone who reads this book will enjoy it and I definitely recommend it to others!
This is such a awesome story with characters that are charming and so real. The chemistry between them is sizzling hot and steamy that you will enjoy. There is drama that's about all the characters even the secondary ones which makes for a great read.
This was a realistic read and I could just imagine everything in the book. It really can happen if you ask for what you want and need. Dreams do come true and we must all forgive in order to move on.
The story is about Aria who moves to a small town from New York and meet a man named Gunner. They have a great attraction to each other. A nice read but too much emphasis on their sexual encounters.
Enjoyed every character, and funny moments. This is a great rendering of how love blossoms. I loved the "Family.". This how families function, coming together in celebrations and in crisis.
This story was so sweet and the family that stays together with all that life has in store for them makes them fight harder and the love for all them is a blessing.
I loved everything about this book. I will recommend this book to all my friends. I gave the book 5 stars because it kept my interested and I loved the characters.
A good read filled with family input and fitting into rich families. Debatable enough her boyfriend spent a night with an Ex, didn’t contact anybody all night despite calls made to him and he says nothing happened? What a load of crap!
