I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

Albert Einstein is the first book in a new series by Inspired Inner Genius.
This book was a lovely and insightful read into Albert Einstein and how he became the famous scientist he became. I loved the simplistic illustrations and the way the book teaches children to be the best they can be, pursue what they love and never stop learning and believing in themselves.
This book reminded me of the Little People Big ideas series.

I actually fell for this guy when I first laid my eyes on his white frizzy hair. And whatever it is, I will never get tired of reading about this guy. I wish. I wish. I wish I could have been there when he was walking on this planet.

And I will never ever like that teacher who thought he was too slow to learn anything. But thanks to such ignorant adults, education didn't ruin his life. And he educated the world after that. Awesome.

I love the illustrations. And yes, that cover. His hair is so tamed. I am complaining not complaining. Love the contents.

Let's forget those who sees you as a failure starting from those who you think who knows you well. They don't. Believe more in people like Einstein.

Thank you, authors and the publisher, for the advance reading copy.

Inspired Inner Genius has a vision to plant empowering seeds in children’s minds across the globe. They have created a collection of children’s biographies to educate, encourage, and empower our little ones to reach for the stars, no matter what other people say.

I truly related to Albert’s story because he was told, at an early age, by one of his teachers that he would not amount to anything in his life. It’s hard to believe that someone could have said that, but Albert truly was a genius and his way of learning was different and not recognized by his teacher. I also had a teacher tell me the same thing when I was in grade school. Of course, I wasn’t a genius and it affected me in many ways all the way through college. Those words were something that played over and over in my head. I wish these kinds of books were available when I was young so that I could have heard a different message in my head and maybe not have struggled so much.

I don’t think children can hear the message.....believe in yourself, often enough. Inspired Inner Genius presents this message with beautifully illustrated artwork and terminology perfect for ages 3-8 and beyond.

This book is really good. It is easy to understand and the illustrations are cute. It is also short which will help children to finish the book easily without boring them.

I love how at the end of the book they give inspiration to children. I rarely see children's book with inspirational words at the end about the story. I would highly recommend this book.

I love a well written children's biography book. What can I say? I like to learn and this is the kind of book I wanted as a kid. I could only read so many Mr. Men and Bernstein Bears books before my brain exploded.

So, welcome to my adulthood journey into nostalgia and my goal to help readers find books they might not have known existed. This time on the trip? Albert Einstein by Inspired Inner Genius.

Let's get down to business and judge this book:
1. The cover is colourful and draws you in. The image is definitely a spitting image of the typical photograph of Mr. Einstein, but it still feels quite classic. I like the look and feel of it. How else can we grab a reader's attention? Even if we say don't judge the book by it's cover, admit it... We all do it.

2. I do love the illustrations and backgrounds in this book. That is one of the first things that stands out to me. The images pull you in and are quite magical. They are well designed and aren't your typical story book image - in a great way. It makes you feel wondrous and disappear into the story. For that, I applaud this book.

3. References! I quite enjoy references in the books. We all know the author didn't make up Einstein's stories, so finding ways to look into the facts is really beneficial. Now, every young reader probably won't care about this (when I was five I sure didn't. I probably didn't care until my University career...) but it's still a valuable tool!

4. There's more 'umph' (as I like to say) in this story. There's a fair bit of background that makes reading easy. I'm a nosy little brat so I wanted to know more about the science behind the text of the story, but I think for a young reader it's just good enough! If eager young readers want to learn more (because, it's a doozy some of Einstein's theories) then they can look them up!

5. Okay, one of the last pages makes me very happy, very proud and kind of weepy. There's a small reminder that Einstein started out as an everyday kid who was trying his best. He worked hard to dream big... Man, if only books told me that when I was a kid! Those inspirational messages mean a lot.

6. There's a glossary which is mighty helpful for those eager learners! And, if this tool is used in an educational setting, a very valuable tool for educators!

7. Finally, there's a little biography in the back with more information. It seems more geared towards the older readers picking this book up, but I still like it! More information is always good (well, it isn't, but it is here. You get my point).

Overall, this is a great non-fiction book to introduce you to Albert Einstein! I highly recommend it for young readers wanting to learn. Pictures books + Biographies + Facts = Fun, Engaging Learning.

Four out of five stars.

Thank you to Inspired Inner Genius for providing me a free copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.

If you’re looking for a quick fun way to introduce your child to historical and scientific figures, then look no further. Albert Einstein is the first in the creative new series by Inspired Inner Genius to help kids discover the men and women who were pioneers in their fields.

The book covers Einstein’s love of science but touches on how he didn’t always do well in school. He persevered and became one of the greatest scientists.

With bold, colorful illustrations and a glossary of terms, this short biography will help to inspire your little genius.

Inspired Inner Genius is a new publishing house that believes every child is a genius. They are founded with the purpose to inspire, educate, and empower young minds across the globe from a tender age. The first book in the series is the story of Albert Einstein.

I don’t have children, but was more than happy to read and review this story. I think that the illustrations were very cute and really liked how this story teaches kids that they might not be the best at school, but can make something of their lives if they follow their dreams. Here’s a quote from the story that I thought was great:

“Whenever you’re feeling sad, remember that Albert Einstein started out as a kid whose future didn’t look promising. But he was very curious and he had a dream to learn as much as he could and share his knowledge with everybody around him. Deep down, Albert Einstein was just an ordinary kid with very big dreams!”

If you have children, I would highly recommend this series. The second book is about Steve Jobs and the third is about Amelia Earhart. I’m looking forward to reading them as well!

Thank you Inspired Inner Genius for my copy in exchange for my honest review.

There have been so many inspirational people throughout history. Many are studied; others are not. And yet these people shaped who we are, what we do and how we live.

This series presents some of these fantastic men and women in a bite size way for children. It’s not a new concept but there cannot be too many books that share information on these characters.

Colourful illustrations and simple text provide a background of knowledge to provoke children to ask more questions and find out more. The books also prompt children to think of careers and dreams they may not have considered.

Einstein did a lot for this world. Perhaps his contribution is difficult to explain but this book shows children that it’s OK to be different and that success is not the same for everyone.

My favourite in the series was Amelia Earhart, but I did also find out a lot about Steve Jobs and Einstein. A great series for children and adults alike!

I received a digital copy of this book. All opinions my own.

“Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish by it’s ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” - Albert Einstein.

Albert Einstein is a widely recognised genius whose curiosity and imagination led his to some mind blowing discoveries leading him to being known as one of the greatest physicists in history.

I think this book is a fabulous way to introduce him to children early on in their learning. It is a biography that sums up his life and his works in a simplified way for younger children to understand. Although it is aimed at children from 3 years old, I think it is better suited for children of primary school age so from 4-5 years onwards. However, I think children of 3 years will enjoy the story, especially the illustrations. I like how the story touches on Einstein’s struggles in school and how a teacher told him he wouldn’t grow up to achieve much and how he has proved them wrong. I think that is a lovely message to get across, especially to children, to not give up.

The illustrations in this book portray Einstein in a cartoon-style way which works for the young audience. The faces are expressive and you can clearly see the emotions Einstein is feeling at those moments.

I enjoyed this book, it is a lovely addition to any bookshelf and captures Einstein in a nice, simple way so that it’s intended audience can recognise the amazing genius Einstein was. I work with 3 year old children and when I think of how they would receive this book, I believe it might be a bit to complex for them to comprehend and understand but I do believe they would be able to sit and enjoy the story itself.

This book is aimed at 3 - 8 year olds.

Not sure much research was done regarding this audience.

The book is too wordy and not engaging enough to keep the attention of a younger audience sharing the book.

The colour palette and illustrations are bland and humourless and little Albert is called Einstein throughout.

These are barriers to the message that the publisher is seeking to convey and to inspire a new generation of kids.

It is a remarkable account of an extraordinary individual who was clear a genius, but that wonder is not found here and his humanity is lost in this rather drab combination of words and pictures.

I did like where some thought was applied to illustrate his time at school. With a desk full of books his place in the classroom is easily identified and this works better than a 1000 words to bring home the message.

I have not read much on him myself and the expanded biography was well written at the end of the book and the use of an old photograph also helped show this was a real person.

But really what does relativity mean to younger minds - relations? I can’t speak as physics is a science subject I ever got to grips with, let alone mastered.

So a good concept for a series of books bringing important people to a younger audience but this book did not quite succeed as these ideas were lost in the choice of colours used, and a lack of simpler text.

Hopefully my Grandson will be inspired all the same. At 3 it will not be long, sadly though too soon and far too late if he expects his Grandpa to help him with his science homework.
Worm holes indeed?

This is a truly wonderful little book for young kids to get a starting point on Albert Einstein and his importance to physics. It starts with Einstein at a young age and follows him through school, work, publications and the highlights of his career. The artwork was engaging and colourful, and the structure was easy to read and informative. A great book for young readers!

I was very kindly sent a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review and I must say I was surprised.

I never learnt about Einstein in school so I found this very interesting and insightful!
I really enjoyed reading this book and found the illustrations very eye-catching, they went perfectly with the information.

I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a deeper insight into the man himself and to anyone who has children so they can learn about Einstein.

It was such an easy read, and a great way to learn and understand about such an iconic figure in history. I love the illustrations and think these would be perfect for school and younger children to learn easily about such iconic figures! Can't wait to see who else they do books about ❤

** update: the book has been updated after the author took on board some of the review advice. There is now an added glossary to help children understand some of the more complex wording, and a Muse Museum which shows icons mini biographies that have been published so far AND show a shadow portrait of future icons to come, which allows you to try and guess who the next books will be about. They have also updated the age the book is aimed at, raising it a few years, so the content is appropriate for its readers.

I now believe this to be a 5 star worthy book, increasing my previous rating from 4 stars to 5! 📖

The idea of the “inspired inner genius” for a theme for children’s books is a great one!!

Who hasn’t heard of Albert Einstein? This is the first book in the series.

I like how the story starts off with Albert Einstein as a boy born in Germany in 1879. He loves science! And he is a big reader! This is inspiring for children to read and learn! If there is a subject you love, learn as much as you can about it! Albert Einstein sure did!

Unfortunately in his school the teachers didn’t like him. Which is a little hard on teachers of today! It was a different time in the late 1800’s and teaching was done differently than today.

The book moves on from boyhood into teenage years. Albert Einstein had left school in high school and his parents wanted to nurture his abilities. At 16 Albert Einstein has written his first scientific paper! He’s a deep thinker and very motivated to learn and explore his world.

His parents find a school that’s all about science. He was very happy at his new school. He later pursues physics as an adult and figures out some things that aren’t quite right about the current beliefs in physics.

The things that Albert Einstein wrote about like the theory of relativity were published. Other scientists were able to prove his work that they were correct.

Albert Einstein later as an adult went on to win a Nobel prize in physics in1921 at the age of 42. His lifelong enthusiasm for the study of physics and science paid off in contributing his life‘s work to benefit science today.

I feel this book really is supportive of children who may not learn in the typical manner and helps embrace nurturing children who have unique abilities and interests. I definitely agree we all have our inner genius!

There is a black & white photo of Albert Einstein at the back of the book and a bio about his life.

Going forward, I think it’s so important for children to have role models of success. I see Albert Einstein‘s life as a success. I believe this book can be inspiring for other young children that they can do what they love and learning can be fun!

This book feels like it is meant to educate and inspire, but it fails on both fronts. It is a pity, as there's certainly a place for illustrated books to teach people about historical figures who changed the world.

The language used is fairly high level for the audience, with concepts not explained. Young children may struggle with questions such as what light waves are or what geometry is. It often includes facts but never expands upon them too.

The illustrations aren't great. A couple do stand out such an image of Einstein thinking about the universe, but many lack shading and the style sometimes seems inconsistent.

This title is for young readers and has graphic novel like illustrations. It tells the story of Albert Einstein. Readers learn that he had his struggles, especially when young. His teachers did not always like him and did not recognize his intelligence. Of course, he went on to achieve amazing things as the author of this book duly notes.

This book gives a positive message to kids. It reminds them that, even if there are setbacks, perseverance can pay off.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions are my own.

This is a beautifully illustrated and easy to read introduction to the life of Albert Einstein. All the messages were clear and inspiring to young people. My eldest is too young to understand the story, but sat quietly listening and looking at the pictures asking 'what's that?'.

I think these are wonderful way to inspire young children to read non-fiction, and I can't wait to read more and introduce my children to these stories when they are a little bit older.

Title: Albert Einstein
Author & Illustrator: Inspired Inner Genius
Genre: Children’s Book
Pages: 16
Publication Date: 4/1/2021

Albert Einstein is a children’s book marketed to ages 3-8 that tells the biography of Albert Einstein.
I absolutely loved the idea of a biography for this age group. As a child, I LOVED reading biographies and remember a series at the library where I read almost all of them.

The illustrations are gorgeous in this book and uses a rich palate of colors. However, the illustrations did not consistently appear historically accurate. For example, there was a classroom scene where several girls were wearing pants in the early 1900’s. The hairstyles felt very contemporary.

The amount of text to pictures was too much. Each page had several sentences, most of them compound. Most books for this age range only have 1 or 2 simple sentences and are careful about the words they select. The language used in this book is not appropriate for this age group and their learning capabilities. Words such as ‘geometry,” and “theory of relativity” are a lot for adults, let a lone a 3-year-old. It would have been great if the author had explained it in a child appropriate way. As the book is only 16 pages, there is room for more story development.

I also felt that Einstein’s biography tried to cover too much ground in too short of a book. For example, there were a lot of big events left out such as Einstein being a refugee from Germany before World War 2. He also influenced the development of the nuclear program in the US. It might more sense to develop this into several books that focus on different parts of his life.

I feel the biggest omission was that Einstein had a strong bond to Judaism. In 1950, Einstein wrote, “I am the more distress over these circumstances because my relationship to the Jewish people has become my strongest human bond, ever since I became fully aware of our precarious situation among the nations of the world.” He made multiple contributions to the Jewish community in his life and was even offered the Presidency of the newly formed Israel. Not mentioning or addressing this at all, feels like a serious omission in a biography and a missed opportunity for representation.

At this point, I cannot recommend this book. I really hope the author takes the critics of myself and many other reviews and releases a second edition. I think this is a promising idea and the illustrations are stunning.

The Inspired Inner Genius folks have done a great job distilling the lives of great men and women into simplified, but not overly simplistic, tales for children that serve as intriguing introductions to their respective subjects. With colorful illustrations and an emphasis on overcoming the types of challenges that children can relate to, the books offer engaging peeks behind the curtain of famous historical figures. There are references to more complex subjects (like the theory of relativity) that are mentioned but not directly addressed, which offers opportunities for interactive teachable moments and further reading.

The Einstein book presents the course of the scientist's life from frustrated young student to brilliant thinker in a way that is relatable and inspires kids to realize that everyone struggles at times in their life, but that struggle can serve as a gateway to greatness and inspiration. This is a great way to spur kids to think about what can be accomplished if they don't let obstacles keep them from pursuing their dreams, and it does so in a fun and easily digestible way.

Thanks to the author for my obligation-free review copy.

👨‍🦳Albert Einstein is a children's nonfiction story that tells an abbreviated, child friendly account of his life.

👨‍🦳It does an excellent job of showing kids that they can achieve great things, even if some people don't believe in them. No one is good at everything, but everyone is good at something. Find your passion & run with it!

👨‍🦳I hate knowing that his teachers were so awful to him. As a retired elementary teacher, I know that things are different today, thank goodness! I could hear myself reading this to a classroom, asking them if they could believe his teacher said that to him. That would make for a great discussion.

👨‍🦳Science is a subject that can & should be incorporated into other subjects. This book is a great way to combine reading & science together.

👨‍🦳I would recommend this book as easy way to learn a bit about history & science while engaging in meaningful conversation with your children.

👨‍🦳Thank you Inspired Inner Genius for giving me a copy to read & review. This review is my own opinion.

Albert Einstein by Inspired Inner Genius was an excellent book and the first book in the new new series by Inspired Inner Genius, which did remind me of The Little People Big Ideas series which I adored reading with my nephew O and to my class of children with learning difficulties. These books are great to open minds of small children and my pupils at school. We would spend all lessons talking about these famous people and display pictures of them, they have drawn on the classroom wall.....Just amazing. I am so glad these books are being published as they are a joy to read out aloud to others and then discuss as a group. ❤️

Now, this book was special and a lovely insight into Albert Einstein life and how he became the most famous scientists...... All the illustrations on every page just drew you all in and they teach children to learn and be the best they can be and never to spot learning and believing in their selves.

I highly recommend this book for Kids Ages 5 to 10, Children's Biography Books are amazing,

Guy with crazy hair likes science

Einstein is one of my heroes for so many things... Most of which were not covered in this quick read. It feels like it's meant to teach resiliency and success even if you're different, but the style feels inconsistent.

The good? I like the illustrations. I never quite envisioned a young Einstein, or one with a fresh new teenage mustache.

The recap of his scientific knowledge and successes seems to be lacking a lot; perhaps this will pique the interest of the reader to study more. The chronology is a bit odd and seems like much was skipped.

Overall the vibe is a very short, basic essay bolstered with lovely images. The reading level seems high to be accompanied by the artwork.

I was asked to read this for a review, and quite frankly wish I had more positive to say. I'd be interested to hear what someone of the target audience age range would think.

🧬 I’ll first like to start by saying thank you so much @inspiredinnergenius for providing me with a digital copy of this book.

🧬 Surely we all know the story of the wonderful Albert Einstein? Well this book does a fantastic job on demonstrating his personal life in such a beautiful way.

🧬Inspired Inner Genius is a new publishing house that believes in sharing beautiful stories to young readers. Their purpose is to inspire, teach, and create beautiful stories for young readers across the world.

🧬If you have any children, I highly recommend this book for them. It was so well written and has the most lovely illustrations for a young reader. I really wish I could’ve read this as a child because I definitely would’ve loved it.

🧬I was more than happy to check this book out and review it. I’ve seen it all over my friends’ feeds and wanted to give it a go. Albert Einstein is the first book in the series, they now have so many more! I seriously love these and can’t wait to read the rest of the series.

I have already read so many books about Einstein in the first six months of 2021 you'd think it was his centenary or something – it's not. There are already a handful of books available for school library shelves on the man, and this one joins in, with its typical summary of his life from school (where he didn't fit in and was annoyed by the way he was educated) up to his great theories. One paragraph per double-page spread is the deal, and cartoonish artwork (he gets a literal thumbs-up with someone having a positive emoji in a speech bubble for him) that kind of feels aimed at a younger age range than the script. All told, though, this is commendable stuff, just a book that probably brings nothing new to the educator's collection, a charge I've levelled at several titles in this series.

✨Thank you to Inspired Inner Genius for sending me a complementary copy of Albert Einstein.✨

The story is about Einstein's life made easy for children to follow. The story starts with Einstein's difficulties as a child and goes into his accomplishments as a scientist. I read the story with my kids and they loved it. They were asking all kinds of questions while I was reading. One question they wanted to know was what is the Theory of Relativity. Inspired Inner Genius provided a glossary defining each "key word" which was a blessing. The glossary saved me from having to Google every question they asked. I highly recommend this children's book, especially if you have a little scientist on your hands.

Albert Einstein
By Inspired Inner Genius

I was kindly gifted a digital copy of this wonderful children's book.
It's part of a series of brilliant biographies written for younger children.
Einsteins book introduces the reader to a young boy who had lots of questions about science and the way things were taught to him at school. He did not agree and was brave enough to pursue his interests and theories against all odds he became a shining inspiration to future generations.

This is a great book in encouraging children to aspire to be what they want to be! Follow your heart!
It also introduces them to non fiction books which I think is wonderful!
