Someone Exactly Like Me! First of all I was curious to see how the title related to the story and I wasn't disappointed. I love it when the title has a hidden meaning and this one did very much so!
Debbie Cromack is back again with another sweet, heartfelt story that will take you on a beautiful romantic journey.
We follow a romance novelist that's struggling for inspiration and a heartthrob actor who wants to break the mould he's been forced into.
Destiny and Nicco meet under unusual circumstances but their chemistry is immediate. Despite the clear desire Destiny is wary of Nicco as his reputation surpasses him.
Yet as he discovers she's struggling for inspiration and has contacts he could use, he strikes a deal. He becomes her inspiration and core of her next book and in return she helps him with his career.
It's simple, until feelings start getting involved and Nicco starts to prove to Destiny that he is more than what people say. Although his past and her insecurities keep them both apart for a while, things fall in line and in the end the novelist gets to write her own happily ever after.
I enjoyed how light and easy it was to devour. Debbie creates such sweet hero's you can't help falling for and strong heroines that fight to get what they deserve.
It was a great read with a lot of romance and a touch of suspence keeping you wanting more!!

"Someone Exactly Like Me" is the story of Destiny and Niccolo. She is a writer who is going through a blockade after the breakup with her fiancé, Nicco is a rising Italian star whose big dream is to succeed in Hollywood. He has a reputation as a playboy, which repels Destiny. However, the two start a friendship and he becomes the muse. Her curiosity for this handsome man increases. Nicco who is emotionally approachable cannot help but be attracted to his new friend. She becomes a guide for him in the place he longs to be and he gives her the opportunity to uninhibit and accumulate new experiences.
This book was a rewarding experience. Destiny is an intelligent, compassionate, caring and kind woman. She has a great imagination and zero filters but that makes her authentic. Nicco is not what he seems, despite having a stunning physique and a rising artistic career, he is more than that. As an Italian, he is passionate and the love for his culture is immense, same that conveys Destiny. He does not feel capable of loving because he once did and was hurt but Destiny manages to break down the walls of his heart. They start out as friends but their relationship is slowly flowing which I liked. I could feel all the anticipation, and the sexual tension! Bonus points: the friendship between Destiny and Candi. This being a new author to me, Debbie has surprised me with her writing. I was getting out of a book funk and this book was just the perfect combination of sweet and light what I needed. Such a good summer read as well that you don't want to miss out on. I will most likely keep on top of Debbie's upcoming writing. Especially with how special her characters are.

Have you ever read a book that takes place in a location that you love, so that makes you love the book even more? That was me with this book. I freakin love Los Angeles so much, and I was ecstatic when I realized that’s where this book takes place.
Nicco and Destiny were absolutely adorable together, I loved how smitten Nicco was right from the start. I loved that Destiny was trying to fight the attraction and that Nicco set out to prove himself to her. I realized during this book that I am absolute TRASH for the whole won’t kiss on the lips storyline, as Nicco doesn’t kiss women on the lips. He is a broken man trying to guard his heart from the emotion of kissing and has a rule against it. Because of this there was the most delicious slow burn and I was practically screaming for them to finally kiss!
Their friendship growth via touring LA was icing on the cake for me. I loved that they visited all my favorite places, and I was definitely itching to get on a plane to visit again. Their adventure and love story was so beautiful, definitely swoon worthy!

Debbie is a newer author to me and I can’t wait to read more from her. I’m usually not big into celebrity type romances but her books are definitely the exception!
This book follows the friends to lovers Destiny and Nicco and this is the perfect summer time slow burn romance. From start to finish Debbie creates this page turning world where the storyline and all the characters pull you in. Nicco, the very handsome Italian who is trying to make a big name for himself in the city of stars, Hollywood. Destiny, the writer who is getting over a breakup with her fiancé is now facing writer’s block but things start to look up with Nicco comes more into her life. Both of them are going through different things and yet they could be there for each other and helped them see the brighter things in life. Watching these two meet, start a bond, become friends and then more was truly romantic. Besides the romance and the main characters, the side characters are a big part in what makes this story so enjoyable!
If you are looking for a sweet romance with a little bit emotion and a light read, I highly recommend this! Debbie is an Indie author you don’t want to miss!

This is so so good!
Considering this was a beta read and was a raw version, this was excellent and will be absolutely incredible when edited and sent into the world!
I love Nicco and Destiny and their story both broke and melted my heart.
Y'all aren't ready for this book!

Nicco and Destiny have the real and beautiful kind of love. They make mistakes and find it difficult to communicate the way they need. They fall hard for each other fast and it's that instant connection that allows the reader to truly feel how deep they're feelings are for one another.
I am such a huge fan of Debbie's writing style. She takes these wonderful ideas and turns them into spectacular novels. She ensures that all the characters are real and true and it allows the reader to form attachments to the main characters very easily.
Oh, and for romance readers like me, this is certainly more spicy than Untouchable Zain ;)

This is the first book that I have read from this author, and I was not disappointed. I fell in love with this book almost immediately and wasn't able to stop reading this book until i finished it in one sitting.

If you like a slow burn romance then this is the book for you. I had never read any of this author’s work but the blurb described a book that sounded just like the type I’d enjoy… and I did, very much.
When you’ve been having sordid fantasies about the hot actor in a new erotic film the last thing you imagine is meeting him at your photographer friend’s photoshoot and starting up a great friendship with him. That’s exactly what happens to Destiny when she visit’s her friend’s photo studio and meets new acting sensation Niccolo (Nicco).
I adored Destiny and Nicco’s story. It’s a real sloooow burn but so good. I love how they become such good friends before finally taking their relationship further. They learn so much about each other and so much about themselves as people.
The characters are very well written and are very relatable and I really enjoyed reading about them. The story flows very well and has enough action to keep the reader entertained and wanting to turn to the next page to see what happens next.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it.

I love going into romance books blind. It always makes for thr best surprises. I've never read anything be Debbie either, so I didn't know what to expect.
I really found myself enjoying this book, enjoying the male and female leads. I love a book that is full of good quotes. Debbie definitely had some steamy lines.
It was well plotted and read at a great pace. Made for an easy read when I found myself having those rare moments of downtime.

It took me a while to get into this book. It was good. A lovely mix of slow burn and romance. I enjoyed watching how they fell for each other and the twist got me, but I wish it wasn’t so rushed at the end.

I recently read Someone to Watch Over Me and had to go back and read Book 1 in the Wounded Heart series to see how this all started. Niccolo definitely falls first in this slow burn romance. The book takes place partly around the Los Angeles area and then off to Italy which is a sweet treat. Good book to read at the beach!

Destiny has had her fair share of broken relationships and has her heart caged to not get hurt again. Although as a writer she is in a slump and needs to help the creative ideas flow, but they are just not there, when her best friend takes her out for there traditional birthday celebrations, Destiny is strangely drawn to Nico, but will her playboy ways stop her from following the attraction they both feel.
Niccolo has rose to fame in the movie world but is determined to break America, the Italian playboy has swept the news, but he has always just wanted to settle down and have a family. Although being burnt terrible in his past, he has always shut off his feelings and the hook ups he has now are to satisfy his sexual needs rather than emotional, until he met Destiny.
This is a great book, well developed and written with emotion and depth of the characters which added to the overall experience of the story.
I loved the chemistry between the two characters as well and it was great to be a part of the getting to know side of the relationship rather than gun hoe and in bed with each other within the first couple of chapters. They both have had monumental heartbreak and try to move forward from but the way the story weaved within there doubts and concerns added depth to the story and draws you into the characters even more.
If you are looking for a raunchy, sex driven book then this may not be the book for you, but if you want to get to know the characters and walk through a journey of discovery and rediscover trust and loyalty within a relationship then this story is for you 100%, you will not be disappointed at all. I can’t wait to read Cali’s story in the next book in this series.

Someone Exactly Like Me is the first book in this series and is a slow burn, friends to lovers' story. I loved the characters and their dynamics. The relationships between brothers and best friends. The story is heartfelt story and sweet journey. There is angst, heartbreak, love, friendships, insecurities and struggles, passion and anticipation, and sexual tension.
I love Nicco and Destiny their story is both heartbreaking and heat warming. It is emotionally raw at times and the characters are realistic and flawed, A deal is struck between a playboy and author no strings attached. Neither are looking for romance until feelings start evolving.
I look forward to more in the future.

I absolutely loved this story. It made it even better that I'm a writer as well and we got a sneak peek into the indie authors world.
I'm not sure where to even start with this one. The scenery was described to a tee, the characters felt like friends and Niccolo and Destiny were just so perfect together. I was rooting for them the whole time.
Destiny is an author who is having a bit of trouble finding inspiration for her next book. Niccolo is an actor who needs to meet the right people in Hollywood to move his career forward. Both are not looking for romance. But both agree to a deal to help the other out with their careers. What follows is pure magic.
You'll definitely want to pick this book up NOW. I highly recommend it to romance fans.

Someone Exactly Like Me is a super cute slow burn romance between a romance author and a (hot) Italian actor!
I absolutely adored the romance between these two characters. The chemistry that was between them and the gradual build up of them getting to know each other and falling in love was so well done. The characters were so easy to love and I loved the development they underwent in the book.
One of my favorite things in books is when the title comes full circle and this one worked perfectly for the book! At the end of the book the title made perfect sense and the hidden meaning was everything.
This was my first book by this author and I’ll definitely be picking up another. Definitely recommend!

Oh my goodness! Have you seen this cover!?!? I knew I was going to love every page and get lost in between these pages and I could be my bottom dollar I was going to invest in these characters so again my family members were left to their own devices …..
So almost right in the beginning something is said that I already know but sometimes as mere mortal reader I forever these things but this was a reminder “ Being an indie author is a lot of work . Between self -editing , self-promoting , self- publishing , being active on social media to build your audience , creating a team of people to support you, writing newsletters , and everything else the do-it-yourself romance author has to do , finding time to write can feel impossible sometimes.And when you do have time , you pray for inspiration and the most wonderful love story to create itself in your brain . “ RESPECT for all indie authors ❣️📕 THANK YOU !
So Destiny is an author with a rather well connected mother but I tell you what this girl is as real as they get she’s beautiful , she’s kind and she’s humble and she deserves every bit of happiness ….
Candi is the best friend of our Destiny and she herself is extremely talented and she has a little surprise up herself for her birthday friend … she calls a favour for photographing except it’s with her man candy actor 🔥Nicco
Nicco just has a way of humanising famous people and I think people often forget they’re people and not the characters they portray and I just fell i love with this man ….

I’ve always been a firm believer that everyone crosses our paths for a reason. If it be brief and/or forever. Which leads me to my next two questions: Have you ever made a deal with someone and regretted it the next day? Was alcohol involved? I’ve been there, what about you? Someone Exactly Like Me starts exactly like that. A sweet tiptoe around each other friendship/romance novel. It also makes me wonder if that’s why the author named the female lead Destiny. Soulmates and destiny go hand in hand if you believe in that stuff, so it definitely fits.
Niccolo Mancini, an Italian model/singer/actor, has been the star of Destiny’s fantasies since she saw Don Matteo. Never in a million years did she think she would come face to face with him, on her thirtieth birthday no less. Destiny, a romance novelist, has been in a writer’s slump the last few years, that is until Nicco. He’s awakened something in her and she just has to keep going.
Nicco can’t keep his eyes off of her, but he knows deep down he’s all wrong for her. He still approaches her anyway. Never expecting this breath of fresh air to call him out on his antics. Which gives him an idea, he offers to be the star of her next novel, if she puts him in touch with her mom for help breaking into the Hollywood celebrity scene.
And that is where the story takes off on an adventure of my fantasies. I would like to hope for yours as well. Who wouldn’t want to go on an adventure showing an Italian actor around where you grew up. The growth of these characters during this adventure is beautiful. If you're after a sweet and swoony read, this is the one for you! After a meeting filled with attraction and chemistry, Nicco and Destiny strike a mutually beneficial deal. As they get to know each other and their connection deepens we learn more about what makes each of them who they are. Their dreams, their pasts and their insecurities.
The scenes where these two people are hanging out and getting to know each other feels so authentic; We get to truely watch them fall in love, before they even know that is what is happening. There are funny moments, heartbreaking moments, swoony moments and steamy moments that ultimately lead to us falling in love with these characters too.
But we all know the path to true love never runs smooth, and their story is no different. Nicco and Destiny lead different lives which in itself creates a barrier between them, among other obstacles.
The secondary characters add another layer to their relationship, I especially loved Candi's relationship with Destiny, and I'm looking forward to potentially seeing more of her in future.
This is Debbie's second novel, and just like Untouchable Zane, Someone Exactly Like Me is an easy read. Well paced, Romantic and while at times painful, the overall feeling is a light read, exploring dreams locations and the perfect friends to lovers summer read 💖

This was definitely a feel cute novel with a good pace, wonderful characters and great everything!
I love the fact that they had conversations, had trips and having unofficial dates with each other. There was sexual chemistry in the air but didn't follow up on it and it was me who was chanting "Kiss, kiss, kiss!" in my mind.
The storyline was something a bit different (atleast I haven't read a book yet with these professions together) and the fact that the author gave us the perfect backstory which was very realistic for the MMC, made this a star.🌟
Niccolo is an Italian actor rising to fame and is wanting to act in the Hollywood industry. It was refreshing to see that we get to know his journey in a very short brief and finally it's not a "I wanted to be a actor and I am a successful one because of the first chance I got" or a one where his first profession was acting. His little comments about flowers etc which linked him to his previous job was really really nice.
Destiny is an indie romance writer who's been in a writing block these past few years. No, she doesn't "suddenly" bump into Niccolo, she instead bumps into the table and no it wasn't a restaurant either.
Overall, it's a great read with swoony Italian dialogues and with big characters having a wall of steel gaurding their heart. The turning point is a cliche one but it hasn't been stretched and everything is resolved quickly but also not quick enough but leads us to a HEA.♡

Will they cross that line or is neither willing to open their heart or minds to more?
This is VERY slow burn. You really get to see them move from strangers to friends to best friends and beyond. They get to know each other in every way…they share their history, fears, dreams and hopes. You see them falling in love and it’s amazing to watch it all unfold. Someone Exactly Like Me is yet another gorgeous read by author Debbie Cromack.
This book is a slow burn and has the perfect balance of romance and steamy chemistry.
I loved the characters instantly and it was so easy to identify with certain aspects of their relationship. Destiny is strong and sweet but hides her vulnerable side that prevents her from showing her true self to others.
Nicco is a true Gent and totally swoon worthy. He has had a significant heartbreaking experience in his past and finds it incredibly hard to let go. That being said, Nicco and Destiny have an undeniable attraction to each other and it was delightful to follow their slow burn and passionate love story. It was enchanting how Nicco set out to win Destiny over by striking up a deal in the beginning and slowly but surely started to break down her walls.

This story is enticing from the get-go! I had fallen deep into this book from the very beginning, and the book kept me invested the whole way through! This book was easy to follow, enjoyable to read and felt like I was chatting with a dear friend. The characters were all so realistic and showed a sense of ‘everyone’s got their issues’, which is something I think can be lacking from a wide variety of books. Even the minor characters were perfectly developed! Candi and Marco (two of the minor characters) were actually two of my favourite characters I have ever read about. I loved the descriptions, I loved the use of minor characters to add some humour/sass to some scenes and I liked that Destiny was so strong and stubborn about her boundaries because I relate to that so much.
One of my favourite parts of the book were the wonderful descriptions! I think they were all very realistic and vivid and I could see the settings in my head as I read through the book. I think my favourite description may have been the scene in which Destiny and Candi go for their hungover coffee morning in the quaint coffee shop! I can even taste the food Nicco’s mamma cooked by the author's fabulous description of the smell! One of my favourite parts of the book were the wonderful descriptions! I think they were all very realistic and vivid and I could see the settings in my head as I read through the book. I think my favourite description may have been the scene in which Destiny and Candi go for their hungover coffee morning in the quaint coffee shop! I can even taste the food Nicco’s mamma cooked by the author's fabulous description of the smell! Do you ever start reading a book a book at bedtime and plan to read a chapter or two, and end up reading the whole thing in one sitting? Because that is definitely what happened to me when I picked up Someone Exactly Like Me by @debbie_cromack_author last night. SELM follows Nicco and Destiny- he is an Italian actor who has recently become famous and she is a bestselling romance author who is in a bit of a slump. After meeting, they strike a deal, and it's one neither can refuse. Nicco is every bit as sexy as you'd imagine, increased only by how humble he is and how kind he is to Destiny. He's one of those real deal, down to earth guys who would move heaven and earth for the woman he loves. This is described as a slow burn, which honestly, usually drives me crazy but I actually thought it worked for this one. Nicco and Destiny both had some issues they needed to work through before they could commit to anything serious, and I liked how they grew as friends first. The steam was on point, and the ending was satisfying. I enjoyed the minor characters- from Destiny's best friend, Candi, to Nicco's brother and sister-in-law, although I did not enjoy Gigi- the woman who has been pining for Nicco ever since they were kids. This was simply one of the best romance stories I have read in my entire life! The story was sweet, but very realistic, and a good build up. The story brought on emotions, ones that my heart held dear as well. The characters really brought the story to life! I was hooked and getting to the end, was bitter sweet.
Loved the writing that the author possessed and how they made the story come to life. Feelings and all! The author really put forth obstacles any couple may face, especially in this case with a celebrity's story. The characters had that undeniable attraction and chemistry, but also needed to find the ground they stand on that would have room for them both. Destiny and Nicco were great. Undeniably great. I loved their scenes together and as they grew as characters, and they grew into the strong bond in which they held and were. Amazing and wonderful read! Loved it so very much! Could not put it down! So good!

I got so much out of this wonderful author's story. I can't wait to read more by them Highly recommend this must read book! Do not pass it up! Seriously!
