Jackie D finally found someone that could tame him….Corey/Desia was just the right person to change and soften him. This is a enemies to lovers story with a subtle cliffhanger.

One thing that stood out with this one is that our heroes, no matter how flawed they are, are referenced as good-looking, handsome, or fine. In this one, it appears that the author made a point to reference that Jedidiah Crowne aka Jackie D was just the opposite, and yet in my mind, it was one of the things that intrigued me even more about this character. I hope you don't miss his reference to (ugly guys).

At first meet, in Carter's book Jackie D was, for the most part, non-verbal, not because of any medical reason, but because of his internal darkness, suspicious and observant nature, and fierce protective skills. At the beginning of this series, I questioned when he held more than a two-word conversation, so he had my mouth gaping when he engaged and kicked knowledge in few intense conversations.

So far, this series has been a discovery of one secret at a time. Due to the family dynamic and its businesses, the background of each family member requires secrecy and a limited amount of trust. When Korie is found in a questionable situation and detained by Jedidiah, it opens a pandora's box that causes her to come under the Crowne microscope. The chemistry between them has had a slow simmer but quickly begins to spark. The loyalty that Jedidiah's family and teams rely on and this assignment to protect and find out what Korie is hiding will test his resolve. How will he fare?

There are so many things to like in the well-written romantic suspense thriller. The twist and turns uncovered will have you wanting everything all at once, but it is better if you go with the flow. The next piece of the puzzle is coming. The intriguing characters have you wanting to become a part of their circle.

A little-known fact, the Crowne siblings are nicknamed after liquor brands. While The Book Bar will shelf those liquor brands, we are widely known for serving wine when reading. In honor of our hero, we selected something from the cellar that stood out specifically for him, Three Finger Jack--Rum Barrel Red Blend.

Well, this is another phenomenal read that will have you thinking about it long after you have turned the last page. Oh and the Three Finger Jack...after the last sip😋

(3.5⭐️)We rarely get books with ugly MMCs so I cackled the few times they talked about him being ugly🤣I enjoyed the banter between Jackie D & Korie, they “couldnt stand each other” whole time it’s just repressed sexual desire. This book continued the storyline from the previous book. And while not necessarily a cliffhanger you can tell there’s more secrets and shenanigans to uncover in future books. I enjoy the banter and relationship between all of the Crownes. Theres a couple who I really want to know more about (namely Hollis & Pharaoh…i feel like theres some layers to them). Overall this is a quick paced romantic suspense that was decent enough to hold my attention.

Listened via hoopla. The narrators did a really good job.

Baby at 83% i went ahead and gave the book 5 stars. From the characters, story, family, action and for damn sure the chemistry was amazing. Jackie D is my kind of man and Corey was the right one to make him comfortable. They’ll perfectly matched. Also their individual backstories enthralled me. The things they’ve been through to where they are now. Especially Jackie D. His struggle with religion and family is wow. Oh yeah, let me not forget the couple of plot twist that had my face sewed up. LOL. Sherelle, ma’am, you better write your book.

As of now this is my favorite book and couple.

Well

There were a few grammatical errors, but it was still good. My boy Jackie finally hooked him one, lol. Korie was irritating, but I knew she had secrets. Good read

I love me some Jackie D! This book was thrilling and suspenseful and had me wanting to know what was happening next! The enemies to friends was made this story so much more enjoyable because you feel the energy on the pages! I’m glad that we are getting closer to resolving the mystery behind Tristian killing but glad that the family feels like they still have a piece of her through Korie. Korie worked my nerves pushing Jackie D like she did but I didn’t appreciate it until I realized he was opening up more being around her. I’m glad that Jackie D finally killed Kevin and loved the small update from Carter who is still one of my favorites! This book has me on edge to find out what’s the next missing piece to this mystery and will Queenie let the rest of the family know she’s mobile! Also will Creed find peace now that he killed everyone involved in Tristians death and will he find love again? Overall I really enjoyed this book and looking forward to the next book in this series!

Jackie D is ruthless and scary…but he intrigues me the most. His preaching while he’s killing someone is on point for his character lol. He’s my favorite character when it comes to the one I would pair with lmbo!!

His exterior is rude and callous, but inside, he’s loyal, protective, and even loving.

One of my favorites in the series.

How often does a connection with someone pull you out of your ordinary routine and thrust you into a captivating emotional journey? Enter Jedidiah Crowne, better known as Jackie D—the quiet, observant protector often labeled the "ugly one." All that changes the moment his path crosses with Cori.
Fresh to Chicago, Cori steps in to help run Laced, a crucial center for domestic violence victims, on behalf of her friend Jade— who we saw spark a connection with Nash Crowne. Sparks fly on Cori and Jackie's very first encounter, igniting a powerful chemistry that neither can ignore, but manage to withhold because Jackie D’s all-business, no-nonsense approach, and he’s determined to keep his heart and family safe.
Just when things begin to heat up, disaster strikes. Cori finds herself targeted by the very individuals responsible for Tristian's death. In a pulse-pounding turn of events, she and Jackie D must go into hiding. The description of their secluded mountain sanctuary is breathtaking—an oasis of tranquil serenity that stands in stark contrast to the storm brewing around them.
As they navigate this forced proximity, the magic happens. Deep conversations unfold, passions ignite, and they delve into the depths of their feelings for each other. Jackie D reveals a softer side, showcasing his poetic soul beneath that tough exterior. The fierce protector transforms, proving that true strength lies in vulnerability. The chemistry crackles in the air as they explore each other—emotionally and physically—turning fear into fervor.

The Crownes know a lot more than they let on in some situations, and knew more about Cori than she did herself. Which made their approval instant and clear: Cori is just what Jackie D needs, even if she’s hiding her own secrets. As the Crownes rally around one of their own, we witness the heartwarming power of familial love and the healing that unfolds when truths finally emerge.
This story is a rollercoaster ride of emotions, packed with heat, suspense, and a deep, abiding connection that will leave you breathless. Just when you think it can't possibly get any better, it does—thanks to Jackie D and Cori, who prove that love can thrive even in the darkest of times. Trust me, you won’t want to miss this beautiful read!

Rating 4.5⭐️ This story pulled me in so deep I forgot I was a reader and not a relative. I wasn’t observing the Crownes, I was with them. Watching. Processing. Choosing a side. Lemme get my shiesty!

Jedidiah is not written to be liked. He’s written to be understood and that’s what makes him dangerous. He’s quiet in a way that feels heavy. The kind of man you don’t interrupt, don’t test and definitely don’t mistake for simple. His restraint speaks louder than violence ever could and every choice he makes feels like it costs him something.

Korie walking into his orbit felt like temptation wrapped in defiance. She doesn’t belong to his world yet she refuses to shrink in it. Their dynamic is tension layered on tension, desire fighting instinct, protection battling self control. Every interaction felt like holding your breath, waiting to see which line would finally be crossed.

What really stood out was how this book challenged the idea of attraction. It loudly calls out how often love is overlooked because it doesn’t come packaged pretty. He simply said women chase Prince Charming just to be left with a wet bottom. While the not so good looking dude would give you the world. Jedidiah isn’t polished. He isn’t charming. He isn’t trying to be chosen. Somehow that made his presence hit harder than any smooth talking prince ever could.

Learning about his days before adoption was heartbreaking but it also humanized him in a way that cracked something open. Beneath the brooding, beneath the violence, there’s depth, pain and a man who’s learned silence as survival. Getting to know him felt earned.

This book is dark, intense, layered and surprisingly tender in the moments that matter most. It’s a reminder that you can’t judge a soul in ten seconds and the most dangerous men are often the ones carrying the heaviest hearts. SN: The bonus scene had me laughing out loud “Sorry, I’m just thrown off that you’ve been pretending you can’t walk, but just hopped out that car like a spring chicken”. Yeah this one will stay with me.

Jedidiah’s Crowning Glory is the much anticipated book about Jedidiah “Jackie D” Crowne of the gritty, Crowne Legacy series. Jackie D doesn’t have much to say until he gets to know someone. He’s a loner. He’s also ruthless, observant, focused and... Spiritual? I was surprised by his strong faith. Korie Suthers is Jade Daniels’ best friend. We met her in book 1, Face Down Fridays and she also played a pivotal role in book 2, Sins of the Saint. She has secrets, and the Crowne’s need to figure out who she is and what she is hiding.

Korie is in danger and Jackie D takes her off the grid. It’s during this time that
she truly gets to know Jedidiah. He describes himself as ugly, but she likes what she sees. His sexy and dangerous aura is overpowering. Their flirtatious banter leads to more and it’s hard for Jedidiah to stay focused. I had plenty of OMG! moments when things got physical. He is a beast in the bedroom. Their connection is intense and powerful.

The Crowne Legacy series has a harder tone than prior works, and Ms. Green
pulls it off. I highly recommend this book. See complete review at romanceincolor.com

The Elite Event/Bare Sophistication Sherelle Green is an automatic buy. The love I have for the To Marry a Madden Sherelle Green is unquestionable. But baayyybeee this dark and gritty Sherelle Green is definitely a lady after my own heart. Sis is in her own class of Royalty after this one. This story had me feeling like where can I sign up to be an honorary Crowne?! Many may not be ready for this ride but I promise if you dare to take the chance you will definitely return at least two more times. These Crowne men ain’t nothing to play with and everything to fall in love with!!! We’re only 3 books into this series and it’s only gonna get better! I can’t wait to see what’s next!!!! I recommend this story to everybody!!!
Note: to really enjoy the totality of this great piece of art I strongly recommend that you read the following books first:

It was so interesting that Jedidiah's looks were not described the usual H. His lack of good looks was mentioned a number of times. Yet it was mentioned that his body was on point. Korie was not described as the usual tight bodied, but thick, curvy h. Her cellulite was mentioned.

The great thing about this book was that the emphasis was on attraction, trust, and loyalty between two regular people. At least as far as looks were concerned. I was glad Jackie D and Korie found their love, peace, and contentment in each other.

Some of the secrets revealed in this book did not come as a surprise. Others were crazy, and it felt like there were many secrets being held. Some of the parenting left A LOT to be desired. I think this one was a little less violent than the previous book, but you may need to judge that one for yourself. Part of the mystery continues, but I was not left with that cliffhanger effect.

You could probably read this as a stand-alone, but I think it is much more enjoyable being read in order.

With 24 major industries, Crowne Enterprises is a multimillion-dollar firm. As the second oldest and enforcer in the Crowne family, Jedidiah, also known as Jackie D, was trained in the army. Business is not a game to him. This is the best novella in the series thus far, and I give it a perfect score.

Introduction
1 (Jedidiah): Betrayal Never Wins
2 (Jedidiah): Kill or Get Played
3 (KORIE): Lies Get Trashed
4 (KORIE): He Got Her
5 (Jedidiah): That A$$ Got You F*cked Up
6 (KORIE): Questions Will Get You Killed
7 (Jedidiah): Do It For the Ugly Dude
8 (KORIE): Pussy Punishment
9 (Jedidiah): Before the Storm
10 (KORIE): When Something Fells Off, It Is
11 (Jedidiah): Time of Reckoning
12 (KORIE): Deep Down
13 (Jedidiah): Your Truth Should Liberate You Not Limit
14 (KORIE): The Deepest Knowledge is Understanding
Epilogue (Jedidiah): Protect Your Peace
Bonus Scene (KORIE): When in Peru

A Love So Strong

Well it seems all the verbal snapping between Jedidiah and Korie was actually their “love language.” lol
Jedidiah capture my heart at the very beginning of this series. He loved his family and would die protecting them. In that I knew he had a soft heart no matter how big and beastly he seemed. And from the moment Korie and Jedidiah were introduced...sparks began to fly. Even if said sparks were camouflaged in hostility.

I absolutely love Jedidiah and Korie, and the twists and turns of their story. Oh, let’s not forget all the secrets revealed!

Jedidiah’s Crowning Glory, is everything you could want in a captivating story of love, intrigue and some really hot sexual encounters. Yes!

Bravo Author Sherelle Green.

In the third book of "The Crowne Legacy: Jedidiah's Crowning Glory" I found it difficult to form an opinion of Jedidiah Crowne given there was little to nothing to really like about him.
There was lots to know about the mysterious character of Kori though. I'm not sure I like her, nor can I say that I hate the character either.
That bedroom scene with Jedidiah & Kori was....different than what I'm used to reading/listening to in books. But, I'm glad that Jedidiah met someone who he feels that he could love or at least be with someone for the rest of his life ...or, for the foreseeable future.
Truth be told, I only listened to the audible of JCG because I hoped that my favorite character of this series:Saint "Scotch" Crowne would make an appearance!

Unexpected truths...

Jackie D was tasked to protect Korie when she shared some of her past, but what he didn't expect was to fall for her. Korie wasn't sure why she was being targeted, but she knew being around Jackie D she would be safe. Korie and Jackie D chemistry was through the roof, and I loved how they were more alike than they knew. The further we get into the Crowne family secrets and what they are really about. The secret that Korie found out changed her for the better, and I'm so glad she finally got a family that will protect and love her. Now Sherelle Green, this series has me in a chokehold I don't want to let go of. I'm not ready for what happens in this book, but I sure do enjoy it!!!

With each new Crowne man that we meet I find something else that makes me want to dig deeper into their family dynamic. At first I didn't like the tempo of how this author was giving us bits and pieces of the backstory of the family, but now I've learned up just go with the flow.

Jackie D aka Jedidiah is the behind-the-scenes muscle of the family. Somebody or something needs taken care of? He's your guy. Because of this, the author has written him as a quiet, secretive type. When he's tasked to protect family friend Korie, he fights it. But it ends up being the best thing for the both of them... That tip of fate that forces two unassuming people to fall in love.

i wish i could see the home in the mountains, it sounds so beautiful. i love that this was written the way it was, with the scene at the beginning & then coming back to it with knowledge. i'm SO glad they were able to avenge tristan!! i think this might have been my favorite of the series so far. plot twist at the end had me scraping my jaw off the floor 😭😭😭 getting to know the characters is so fun & i love how everyone still has their distinct personalities, esp bc i been listening on audiobook & the same few narrators are narrating but all the crowne's are not the same! i would love to know more about dutchess & stan's backstory!

Ms. Green, Ms. Green, Ms. Green...GIRL I hope all of your books are as good as the ones in this series!

There is so many twist & turns in the story. And surprising treasures (Queenie, Queenie, Queenie). The crime is intriguing. The s*x scene is fabulous.

A praying killing man. can't help but to love this man.- told her he loved her right after killing her douche bag father; had be gone.

So much angst..perfecting off balanced by Holli's inserts. The shot scene had me holding by side with laughter. hope his book is worth the wait.

Great Read!

I enjoyed reading this book about Jedidiah and Korie! I loved how they both tried to hide their feelings for the other. I found this book answered some questions from book 2. I get a kick reading when Queenie, Jedidiah's grandmother, comes into the story! She is not to be played with! I feel that everyone who reads this book will enjoy it. I definitely recommend it to others!

JD the Crown

I did not expect JD's story to click on all cylinders as it did. Someone crazy enough to plot against the mighty Crowne crew had to be misguided and limited in brain matter. JD and Cruz had a swagger that just..... And for the truth to be as it was, wow! It was a happy moment for Korie to have closure about her family drama. JD and Korie were what the other needed.

I was so excited to read this book, but it wasn’t what I expected. Jedidiah and Kori was meant for each other in a weird way. They had some spice, but Jedidiah was nasty. LoL. But he had good vibes (outside of killings) and I didn’t trust Kori initially. She grew on me a little bit. They both had rough childhoods and horrible biological parents that I’ve ever read about in books. The praying while killing and mixed religions were a bit weird for me that ended with a 🌟🌟🌟

He did she's Crowning Glory

This was a love story about Koire Suthers and Jedidiah Crowne. They met when he was assigned by his mother Duccess to be her bodyguard. They were being attacked by the Russians, Igor and Natasha for withholding information about jewels and money her grandmother stashed away because of dementia. They realized Korie had been betrayed
by her father. Ultimately Meridian fell head over heels in love which led to their happily ever after.
