‘I have these whispers in my ears, I see things and my mind is so full of thoughts that it’s really tough to choose one. It’s just so crowded and… I don’t know how to uncrowd it. I don’t know how to focus. I don’t know what to do. I can’t think about only one thing and it makes my head ache.’ This is a simple story really, about amongst other things, a bunch of suicidal teenagers convincing each other suicide isn’t an option. It’s hard to keep your shit together when the worst thing has happened. It’s hard to smile and pretend like everything’s okay but well, we do it anyways, don’t we? But What happens when the burden gets heavier? What happens when that ray of light disappears? Being a teenager is a war, the question is: will we get out of it alive?
Yashika Vahi is a writer, poet, painter and entrepreneur. She loves travelling, making sudden plans and creating content. She's a vegan for the animals and is very passionate about speaking on teenagers' mental health.
Sparked by author Yashika Vahi consist of 36 chapters that tells us about the teenagers that try to convince each other that suicide is not an option. Many people go through something or the other, it becomes difficult to smile, pretend that everything is okay but when they don’t know how to get out of it, how to focus on the things that would bring peace they reach to a point where some face depression or end up their lives. But, is suicide the correct option to end up the problem? What happens when that ray of light disappears? What would you do to stop this?
The thought behind this book was a different one. The story mainly revolved around the teens who struggled in their lives with different issues of heartbreak, love, depression, body image, etc. The characters played a well role. Their bond as a friends is well narrated. The writing style is gripping. The language used is simple and lucid. The tile is apt but the cover could’ve been better. Overall, it was a good read.
This is the story about a bunch of teenagers and their struggles with life. This is the best way I can define the book.
While reading the book, I was just realising that this book is a lot similar to 13 Reasons Why. The characters are so similar- everyone is messed up and acted the way the characters from the show did. The plotline is also similar, the mental health aspects are also similar. And then one character says she just watched the latest season of 13 Reasons Why. 😐 So you can clearly guess where the author got the inspiration for this book.
But overall, I felt underwhelmed by this book. Apart from the annoying teenagers, there wasn't much substance in the plot.
There are so many characters, it got confusing in the beginning. Plus all the characters sounded the same. There was no distinction between them and everyone narrated the same way, so I was even more confused.
The characters all acted so angsty, unnecessarily rude, always angry, rolls their eyes a lot at everything, acts like an adult when they are not. I just hate to read about teenagers acting this way.
However, I did like the friendship between them, especially Mia and Noah's friendship, and how they stood up for one another.
In conclusion it was an okay book but I'd still recommend this book to those who likes to read YA!
Sparked by Yashika Vahi is a fictional story with teenagers as it’s main protagonists and even though that’s the case it’s not a teen-centric story , anyone and everyone can pick this book and have a good time reading it.
The author somehow manages to engage people of every age group and make them relate to atleast one aspect of it and it’s one of the many merits of this amazingly articulated book. What appealed to me was the cover and the content inside did justice to it.
We may be different people but at the end of the day that’s what we are , people! Simple humans , who share the same set of emotions. We don’t necessarily dream the same dreams but we do dream, we don’t face the same challenges but we all face challenges, and we experience all of these experiences in different ways and that’s what make us relate to one another.
The author has weaved together an amazing story full of different set of emotions. She makes you completely dive into the book and explore the world that she has created which is so similar to ours , we fall in love with the characters , we root for them , feel happy when they feel happy and feel down when they feel down.
The book is smoothly paced and reading it is a journey , one that I would definitely recommend you to take. Furthermore I liked the writing style of the author , I found it very engaging. Moving onto the language of the book , it was lucid , easy to comprehend. A recommended read!
Sparked is the story of six teenagers, Mia, Noah, Liam, Hannah, Eleanor and Sophie all in their senior year of high school. All of them are facing many issues and struggles, some of which are normal during teenage like heartbreak and body image issues but some are more serious and heartbreaking.
This is the story of friendship that gives courage and support to these characters to live their life and find little happiness at the end of the book.
Told from multiple pov, this book is gripping and a page turner. Most of the characters are flawed and live with their own twisted sense of logic and reasoning, especially Mia. I liked the friendship between them more than the characters themselves.
There are seven characters in this book, all of them are quite interesting and all of them are struggling and suffering due to various issues. My favorite character was that of Matthew, his character is very likeable. The book focuses heavily on the life of these teenagers, their struggles and their friendships.
I couldn’t really connect with the story or the characters, I think adolescents might relate to it better. However, the writing style was very smooth and effortless and the story was engaging enough for me to finish reading the book in one sitting. The cover really reflects the story and it is perfect for this book.
"How are you sure people are even noticing you? I mean, look at them, they're too busy with their own lives."
Sparked is the story of growing up. It is a simple story with a deep meaning about a group of suicidal teenagers who keep each other from crossing the line.
It is the story of Mia, Matthew, Eleanor, Hannah, Sophie, Liam and Noah. Mia is struggling with the death of her mother and continued absence of her father since then. Matthew is trying to make sense of the world after his brother's suicide. Eleanor has a crush on a teacher. Hannah is trying to make sense of her life. Liam and Sophie are struggling to keep peace with their respective parents. Noah makes a shocking discovery.
Important issues like body image, acne, rape, suicide, depression have been addressed in this book. Being a teenager is already hard and when you have other problems in addition to it, hell strarts to sound like heaven.
The narration from the perspectives of different people is quite brilliant, the plot and the characters are very realistic. Overall, a good read!
To be honest, I can’t believe this book was allowed to be published.
When I heard about the premise of the book, I was interested in reading about struggling teenagers and the dynamic between their friendship group, as well as their individual psychological journeys. What did I get? A poorly written scrap journal. This book could have been so good if it was written well, but the execution was absolutely horrible. Could it be a trashy, guilty pleasure? Sure! But from a literary standpoint it’s just garbage. I don’t even know where to start criticising the technical writing.
Clearly the writer has never heard of show and tell because it is ridiculous how each character spilled their entire backstory on the first page of their “journal”. It leaves nothing for the readers to infer, nothing to analyse, and creates no nuances to the characters — what you see is what you get. Okay, your mum died, and you cheat on your boyfriends, and you know you’re a bad person. What do I do with this, since all the work has been done for me? And what a shitty job too, since the characters are still painfully un-self aware, one not even remembering she has a boyfriend which I find quite frankly an impossible mistake to make.
There is absolutely no descriptive writing, no in depth emotional writing, no analysis. It’s just direct speech and edgy quotes. How are we supposed to learn or care about anything? The flat tone of writing made it impossible to distinguish between the characters because, amazingly, despite being written in the format of journal entries, I could see no emotion and there was no real character in any of the characters. Some of the quotes written might have flown in 2014 tumblr and Pinterest but they absolutely won’t now if you’re over the age of 16 and have ever read at least 2 books in your life. What the hell is “they say smoking kills but it makes me feel alive”?? It’s so painfully fake deep, and sure maybe this will resonate with some who have just started reading but this is just awful to read.
I’m too tired to carry on about this but please for the love of god take a writing class or something and stop wasting trees until you learn about metaphors
i'm sorry but this was so bad lol saw a vid on instagram summarizing the plot as a group of friends thinking everything's okay in each other's life but everyone's struggling secretly, sounded interesting & it was only 3 bucks on kindle so i spontaneously bought it & finished the whole thing in 1.5 hours simply to punish myself for spending money LOL i get why this could speak to people but like- did anyone over the age of 14 actually enjoy it? the writing style was wattpad-level at it's best and the slang made me cringe every other line. also one paragraph for each sentence? phew i want my money back lol spare yourself

" It's like your heart is in a million pieces and you are doing everything you can not to show it, everything you can to be strong, but then a tear falls from your eye, and you just don't wanna keep it anymore. You are tired. You are broken." . Most of us have already passed that unique transition phase called as teen age. And we all know, it was challenging being at that age where everything we wanted is perfect, yet nothing was as per our expectations. All thanks to the hormones for our raging emotions that took most part of our teen life. We were excited, enthusiastic, heartbroken, underconfident and insecure, all at the same time. . This book Sparked by the young author Yashika Vahi talks about the similar incidents faced by few of the teenage friends during their high school. Mia, Liam, Matthew, Sophie, Hannah, Noah and Eleanor were good friends with cool and careless attitudes. But deep down all of them were fighting their own battles of their existence. While one had frequent nightmares of being sexually assaulted, another was grieving for his dead brother. While one was insecure with her own body, the other was fighting for a littlest of assurance. One was trying hard to speak his mind, while the other was yet for a shocking revelation. Juggling between maintaing a social status among the public and hiding their own scars, these bunch of teenagers showed us the true facade of life through a closer look. . This is my second book and first fiction from Yashika and I'm glad to have read her writings. The first book being a poetry was wonderfully crafted to make it relatable. This book, too had compelled me to think imof reading more of her works. The story started on a high note with an intriguing narration. Various thought provoking instances were added to make it more realistic. The much needed topic of discussions were included such as mental health, parent child relationships, loneliness, love-lust and many other. I love the way of the story prgression though without any definite goal, and the properly executed ending. It was overwhelming and had me tears on my eyes.
Teenage is a period of vulnerability. It is the phase we consider ourselves to be 'grown up' where we are actually 'growing'. This is the period of having an irresistible urge of experiencing almost everything with our inexperienced hands. 'Sparked' is a story of Mia, Eleanor, Matthew, Hannah, Sophie, Liam and Noah who are going through this delicate and crucial period of life which is named as 'Teenage'. These bunch of teenagers are going through various issues like heartbreak, parental loss, bullying, trauma and even more serious problems. They are breaking down but still carrying on with their messy lives. So, this story is about the struggles in teenage - when we are emotionally most sensitive and exposed. - when we go through lots of self-made messes in our life. - when we are always prone to take wrong steps. - when we are over concerned about our shape and beauty. - when silly issues becomes our chief matter of concern. - when people can take privilege of our vulnerability. This is also the period which can shape our future. So, this story is told in a multiple POV which give the insight into a teenage complications. This is a story of friendship, strength, survival and reality. It covers all the important issues of teenage life. I found difficulty in connecting myself with this story because the characters and lifestyle that has been painted here are quite unalike from mine. I have seen this period of my life from different perspective other than the one that has been described here. But this book will be a treat for beginners and young adults as it is written in an easy language with short chapters. Though the author could have also painted the brighter side of teenage life but through this book we get the teachings about how to handle these unfavourable situations and we can be cautious of the bitter side of this age. One thing I most liked in this book is the message that it has delivered 'Suicide is not the solution to any problem'.
The lucid language of the book immediately held my attention. I will briefly summarise the blurb and my point of view about this book that will give you idea about the book. The story started with Mia. Mia lost her mother two years ago and since then her dad seems distant. She faced nightmares. Eleanor, Hannah, Sophie, Noah and Liam are her friends. They are bunch of teenagers, all facing some or the other stress. Like Hannah was facing body image issues and she felt her parents are pressuring her to study hard and she needs more friends to party. Sophie was angry and depressed about her fight with Nate and he removed her from social media. Some are facing social issues while some have some serious issues. These bunch of teenagers are having psychological issues such as depression and suicidal tendencies but they held onto each other. And there is bunch of teenager stuffs such as having crushes, breakup, worrying for SAT, asking out, body image issues, parental pressure, friendship, etc. I liked the plot. It’s unique and relevant. We know as the teenage years are difficult years to deal with kids and kids will face pressure of different things. This book portrays the perfect picture of that life. I liked the portrayal of their friendship because at that age, kids never listen to their parents but they rely on their friends. The language of the book is lucid. It’s a light read. The story moves at faster pace that hold the reader’s interest. The book is written with multiple perspectives. Like Mia and her friends’ perspectives. That’s a tough task but author has done that well. It’s written as in diary entry format. I liked reading that. Author has followed the timeframe and written it date wise, it’s tough job to do because you have to be thorough with story and incident to write the book that way. Author has done indeed a good job in that area. Overall an interesting read for me. Good one.
Book : Sparked Author : Yashika Vahi Rating : 💫💫💫💫💫/5
My Review :
Teenage is the part of our lives that shapes what we are and how we mould ourselves to become a bright personality. I have gone through several teenage traumas and disturbances. Every teen has their own hopes, aspirations for life. Never to forget friends play the central role during this time. Here the story revolves around group of teenagers who belong to the philosophy of ‘ live and let others live’. The book helps us to understand the triggers that are in the lives of the teenagers. Each character has its own struggle and conflicts that are faced by adolescents. The life stories of the young adults who are in this book gives us a sneak peak in to their hobbies, studies , fashion statement , parties , substance abuse , jealousy. It is definitely not an easy life for being a teenager. The book revolves around the lives of Mia,Sophia,Liam, Eleanor, Matthew, Hannah, Noah. They are good friends ( of course, sometimes undercurrent flows thorough at a few incidents) . Readers can connect to their lives quite well. Hence this makes the readers glue to the book. It makes many of us reminiscing our own teenage days. The simple and little joys of friendship, compassion and love forms a beautiful connect. It is very important to develop a meaningful and nourishing friendship in these years which will stay with us for a lifetime. The writing style is free flowing and narration is good. The story line and the connecting of the stories is well woven. Personally , I could Eleanor for her fixation towards writing. What happens in their lives ? How is their future shaped? How well they get connected as friends? Do read this book to understand the sparked lives of the teens.
Book review 💯📖 ⭐ My Rating - 4.5/5⭐ The book " Sparked " is a written by Author Yashika Vahi.
💫This is a debut book by the young Author. Sparked revolves around the lives of high school teenagers who were too much stressed and depressed about something or the other. This book speaks the reality that's going on within this generation. There were 7 main characters of this book, who have their own personal conflicts going on within themselves. This book is written from their point of view in each chapters where all of them were fighting hard for their living from different reasons. It is actually a bold attempt by the author on bringing out the social, mental and physical issues of youngsters in a different way of approach.
💫This book was very interesting from the first chapter itself and it keeps the flow on tact. The writing style was neat and very good. The title is so simple yet perfect. It was as if watching a English series while reading this book. My personal favorite characters were Mia,Noah and Matthew. I highly recommend this book to all teenagers out their.
👉Mia - A rich girl who lost her mother. What happens when she remembers what happened at the party? 👉Sophia - The Topper! What happens when the people she loves the most breaks her family?👉Liam - The basket ball champ! What happens when the weight of his problems is heavier than his desire to achieve his goals? 👉Eleanor - The Writer! What happens when she falls in love the person whom she can't have? 👉Matthew - The new guy! What happens when his past starts haunting him? 👉Hannah - The party Crasher! What happens when she faces the question of her future profession? 👉Noah - The football team captain! What happens when he finds out the truth hidden by his family
I can't stop appreciating the minimalistic and absolutely lovely cover and that intriguing book blurb enough, I had to pick this book up. You know, when you're tearing up inside and still have that smile plastered on your face, that's what this cover shows and that's what the book is about!
Being a teenager is not easy and simple. It's a war to be fought everyday. The book talks about a bunch of teenagers and their problems. While reading through the book it gave me vibes of Thirteen Reasons Why- the series, not the book. And then I had a feeling that Sparked is slightly inspired from it, and then there was a mention of the show in the book. Now, I liked the show, and I liked this book.
Written in the POVs of each of the seven teenagers, this book is a great debut from the author that's there to let everyone know that they're not the only one in what they're feeling and it's okay not to be okay sometimes.
The book talks about rape, death of a loved one, substance abuse, homosexuality and mental health. The book is quite interesting, relatable in many aspects. The storyline could have been stronger and the author could have reduced the number of F-bombs that popped up throughout the book. I'm sure any reader would relate to something or the other in this book and that will become their reason to like this book. The book came along with a short interview/QnA from the author that definitely made things clearer. Loved the author's effort!
This book revolves around 7 enterprising teenagers Noah, Liam, Mia, Matthew, Sophie, Hannah, and Eleanor who are nursing their demons of insecurities and treading around their emotional complexities.
Liam, Noah and Sophie have ambitions and are trying their best to prove themselves but the emotional support that they are looking from their parents are missing. Noah has that in abundance but he has his inhibitions.
Mia is battling her plight of being molested at a party and yet not able to do something about it.
This book is a beautiful potpourri of teenagers trying to identify themselves and learning survival skills to keep it going
VERDICT Pros: 1) I am pleasantly surprised by the finesse and the depth shown by the author in addressing the sensitive emotions of the teenagers. The incidents and the feelings portrayed are as raw as it gets.
2) This story does not have any suspense thriller yet I was finding it difficult to put it down. I wanted to be a part of Mia's journey; be there for Sophie when she was not getting the support she needed; wanted to be a friend for Liam and tell him to keep going. This is how well the author has crafted every character.
3) Some of the lines written by the author are very beautiful and inspiring that it made me re-read again and soak in its essence.
Cons: Some thoughts and lines were mentioned repeatedly which I felt was not required.
Indeed, this book talks about various phases of life. The book talks about rape, the death of a loved one, substance abuse, homosexuality, and mental health. Being a teenager is a war. The question is will we get out of it alive? What if there's no hope in our lives? We, teenagers, go through so much at times and this book is for such souls who are in despair. 7 main characters had their own stories. Mia, Sophia, Liam, Eleanor, Matthew, Hannah, Noah are my friends.
These lines from Sophie's made me cry.
"It's like your heart is in a million pieces and you're doing everything you can not show it, everything you can to be strong, but then a tear falls from your eye, and you just don't wanna keep it in anymore. You're tired. You're broken. They told me I wasn't beautiful, I listened. They told me I wasn't enough, I listened. They fed me lies, and I kept eating them. Because I thought that was what a good person was supposed to do. But it killed me."
The way the author has described the love for writing will make any reader fall in love with the writing style. There are 2 poems in the book that I liked. The book depicts how important the little things are and how most of the time we have solutions to everything. Do read the book to know the spark in the lives of teenagers. The author has kept the narration simple and touching.
Gone are the days when teenagers had a nonchalant life, in the present time teenagers have their own set of problems which they prefer to keep upto themselves. And this habit of keeping things inside is affecting their mental health.
Sparked by Yashika Vahi is a story that revolves around the life of 7 high school students. These 7 friends were amongst the most popular kids of the school, for everyone they were cool and happy teenagers who attended all the high school parties but they were the only ones who knows how stressed and depressing their lives were. Each one of them had a secret which they don't want the world to know but that secret was killing them slowly and making their life miserable.
Kudos to the young author for coming out and talking about such bold topics fiercely. This book covers almost all the hardships faced by today's teenagers. Though the book is written from the perspective of 7 friends yet at some point I find the story overdone.
Mental health is no joke and how important a family plays role in this is well depicted by the author in her book. The story not only shares mental health issues but also illustrates the beautiful bond of friendship and family.
What I like about the whole story is the ending which is left in the reader's imagination. So come and read this book to decide yourself as to how this story should end.
Starting with the title and cover of the book, the title is short and relatable while the cover is very pretty and beautiful.
The fact that I like the most about the book is that the chapters are short and on point.
The next thing is is I appreciate the author for selecting such a wonderful topic the book just is not just a rant about suicide and mental health but it is much more than that.
I really liked the character sketch along with the writing style of the author.
The fact that the grammar was perfect and there were no typos was a blessing to find in a book with a beautiful plot line, especially for a debut novel.
The book takes you through rollercoaster of emotions, you will feel nostalgic remembering all the school memories, happiness and find the book relatable slowly.
One experiences compassion, guilt and anger too making the book a lot interesting.
TW - The book covers the issue of of PTSD, Drug abuse, death, domestic abuse, parents pressure, body shaming etc.
Final Say- A book that is worth a read and very important for today's generation especially for teenagers.
Thank you for giving me a chance to read such a wonderful book looking forward to read more of your work.
🍃This book basically speaks about the psychology and the mindsets of the younger generations of the present time.
🍃The book revolves around a bunch of high school kids who are going through some kind of dark phases, psychological disturbances or mental trauma in their life. Every character in the book has their own unique situations and thus have very specific and individualistic point of view and approach of their own.
🍃The book is written in a diary format by the kids themselves and thus connects the readers more to their stories.
🍃This book very boldly raises the topic of "mental health of the children". Mental health is itself a very sensitive issue to talk about, but when it comes down to the children of budding ages, it requires extra care, love and understanding to deal with it.
🍃This book is amazingly woven around a sensitive issue. I totally loved the author's approach on this particular topic.
🍃The writing style is neat and lucid, also the format selected for the book is absolutely resolute and more influential.
🍃I totally admire the book, starting from the cover to selection of the topic for the book. Very unique, sensitive and approachable.
🍃This book definitely qualifies for a mass recommendation.
This book is very interesting from the first chapter itself and it keeps the flow on tact. The book revolves around the lives of Mia, Sophia, Liam, Eleanor, Matthew, Hannah, Noah. They are good friends, of course, periodically undercurrent flows thorough at a few incidents. The penning style was neat and very good. My favourite personalities were Mia, Noah and Matthew. The writing style is free-flowing and the narration is good. The storyline and the linking of the stories are well incorporated. Readers can connect to their lives quite well. Hence this makes the readers glued to the book. It drives many of us to reminisce about our teenage days. The narration of the book is nice it's not very illustrative nor has many frame drops. The simple and little joys of friendship, empathy and love form a beautiful relationship. It is very essential to develop an explicit and healthy friendship in these years that will stay with us for a lifetime. The author pleasingly possessed the plotline of the book without disintegrating the reader's interest till the last page. The language used in the book is exemplary easily comprehensible & most notably it makes the book more connecting to read. The title is so simple yet flawless. It was as if watching an English series while reading this book.
The book "Sparked" authored by Yashika Vahi is one of the most amazing fictional books I have ever came across. The book deals with teenage and teenagers lifestyle. Teenage is the time where we undergo innumerable mental breakdowns and downfalls.
The storyline within is set around a group of teenagers who're free hearted and believed in the free spirited lifestyle.
The characterization in the book is up to the mark. Every teenage character has his/her own traumas and struggles to deal with. Readers will come across their life stories and how these teenagers work on their hobbies & studies simultaneously.
You can experience this that being a teenager isn't so easy. At times, you have to deal with mental pressure and at other times you will feel quite light. All these are well portrayed within.
The protagonists in the story are Mia,Sophia,Liam, Eleanor, Matthew, Hannah, Noah. All of them are teenagers and are good friends. You can feel the spirit and circumstances of your own teenage days after reading this book.
Just grab the book to know what happens in the above mentioned characters' lives. The story is quite motivating and interesting at the same time.
This book tells us about simple story about, amongst other things, a bunch of suicidal teenagers convincing each other suicide isn’t an option.
To khow more about it go through the book.Language is quite easy to read it. Writing was also awesome . It is a very interesting book . I suggest everyone to read it . I really loved this book very much......
BOOK REVIEW BOOK - SPARKED AUTHOR - YASHIKA VAHI GENRE - YOUNG ADULT FICTION
Teenage is a fragile stage in everybody's life. Be it with respect to careers, mental development or physical, it makes or breaks them.
The protagonists of this book are 6 teenagers.Mia, Noah, Eleanor, Liam, Sophie and Hannah.Peer pressure, body shaming, breakups, rejections are few of the struggles which these high school students face . What makes this story different ?
Well, other than the reasons mentioned above, there are few serious issues brimming beneath the surface.
As I was reading the book, I could get glimpses of a netflix series 13 reasons why. Even in that book, I wondered why the protagonist didn't seek tye family help or any institutional help. This shouts out to diminish the increasing gap between parents and children. Only if children could open up to their parents, it would have been much better.
The friendship in the book is heartwarming. This book should be read by all as it speaks of important topics for which we need to find a solution as soon as possible.
Coming to the language, it's easy to understand and is a page turner. Each protagonist narrates their story and point of view. It looked similar. The author can work on this. Overall, a good read.
“Sparked” by Yashika Vahi is a simple yet profound story that revolves around seven teenagers navigating daily existence within the ever-tightening spiral of their own thoughts and problems. Designed in an epistolary format, it grasps the thought processes of teenagers who are under stress because of varied personal reasons ranging from the death of a loved to sexual assault. Interestingly while these teenagers are displaying empathy and compassion for others they’re themselves wearing out because of the friction in their life.
Overall, it’s an wonderful attempt to provide an outlet to vent about the challenges most of us are dealing with in our lives through the fictional character of Mia, Eleanor, Hannah, Sophie, Noah, Liam and Matthew. Couldn’t have thought of a better format than epistolary to pour out one’s heart. Kudos to author for picking up such an important and sensitive topic of mental health and presenting it in a very dignified and graceful manner.
This book speaks about the stressed and depressed high-school teenagers. Teenage is the most critical phase of anyone's life. Studies, physical and mental changes happening during this period would impact the kids easily. And, most importantly, the friend's circle plays a vital role too.
This book actually revolves around the lives of a bunch of friends including Mia, Sophia, Liam, Eleanor, Matthew, Hannah and Noah. Each one of them face different problems and issues with their own lives and the readers can easily connect to them. All the elements like love, compassion and friendship have been beautifully woven among these people.
The book has been written from the points of view of all the 7 characters. The flow of the story gives the readers a feel of watching an interesting movie or a web series. The outline of the book would really be appealing to many teenagers. The climax of the book will indulge readers to think a lot though it was a bit abrupt. I would recommend this book to all the teenagers out there !
Problems are a part of life, sometimes there are bad times but it is not the permanent time, Good time will come knocking your door. Right? So the book is really motivating especially for the teenagers that loose hope very fastly and they are left with the option to suicide. Firstly I would like to appreciate author to bring such remarkable topic in front of us . Every teenagers have the problem and the book is very relatable to our life. But no one wants to talk about that. Everyone thinks its normal but no it's not The book revolves around seven characters each going through the teenage journey facing their problems. Everyone has their own way of thinking . But the idea still remains the same that is Suicide. Personally, I really enjoyed the book and I was really motivated towards it. The book cover is simply amazing and the language has been kept easy so that the readers do not find any problem and can go for smooth read. The book is highly recommendable. Thank you Happy Reading.
The book Sparked, written by Yashika Vahi portrays a story based on lives of seven high-school teenagers, namely Mia, Hannah, Matthew, Noah, Liam, Eleanor and Sophie. Each free spirited member of this friend group is going through their own struggles in life, and most of them resort to partying, smoking, drugs, drinking and watching porn as an escape from their monotonous life. Teenage is a vulnerable phase of one’s life, and having a tightly woven friend circle is definitely a help in traversing the rough course of life and figuring out what one wants to do and who to become in life. The themes of love, mental health, friendship, empathy, compassion, pleasure and affection are omnipresent in this story. The struggles portrayed are quite relatable to fellow teenagers as well as adults, which in turn shows that teenage life is not easy at all, contrary to the misconception of many adults. I must say, this book is really interesting and I found it difficult to put it down, highly recommended.
