Rate this book
Roux Hops is a free-spirited feminist that works the front desk at the Bobby B. Stone African American Museum. She’s an alpha female that knows what she wants and she goes after it. Especially if the package is a tall, dark chocolate dread head that’s new to town and her place of work. Coal Eastly is the devilishly handsome and funny new second shift security guard at the museum. His laid back and skillful character signifies he’s an omega man, yet the alpha in him triggers his willingness to chase one person for the first time ever—Roux. When their promising romance starts to blossom, bizarre events begin to take place in the museum. Are the late-night shifts playing on their imagination, or is there a bigger threat in plain sight before the Easter holiday?

Damn Wynta! That ish was crazy! I loved how self assured Roux was about every aspect of her life; and that daily mantra of hers had me hollering! 😂 Coal, was very laid back, but also very sure of himself. When these two met, that chemistry and forwardness of them both was smokin' hot! Things went left quick, and I didn't know what was going on, or who to trust! That revelation was nuts! Like who thinks of something like that and why? Great read! 👍👍👍

I may never look at bunnies the same! This was a different but great read. I enjoyed the paranormal and suspense aspect of it. I was trying to figure out who did it the whole time which is my kind of read. Can’t wait to read more of her work.

This was one of those wait… WHAT reads where you go in curious and come out slightly unhinged but entertained. I was all smiles at Coal and Roux and then boom strange happenings that make you side eye everything and everybody. This book moved fast, didn’t overstay its welcome and kept the suspense tight enough that you couldn’t really predict where it was going. Anyone claiming they saw it coming is lying to themselves and the Lord. This is the kind of quick read you pick up out of curiosity and end up enjoying way more than expected. Sometimes you just need a book that makes you lean forward and say okay now hold on and this one did exactly that.

Finding love at Bunny Lane....

I really enjoyed this story. It was short, sweet and scary. Although this was a short read, the two main characters Coal and Roux had an instant connection and there bond was solidified after surviving the unthinkable. This read was definitely something different and worth reading. Great job, Wynta Tyme!

Roux features a no-nonsense alpha female who’s blunt, straightforward, and impossible to ignore. Coal, the male lead, is just as direct—a solid protector who stands his ground. Just when you think you understand the people behind the roles, the story turns way too fast to see coming. A definite plot twist that hits hard. Short, sharp, and totally worth the read.

Meh

I didn't expect this book to go where it went. I liked the first half but the second half wasn't for me. I was really annoyed that in the middle of two high stressed and dangerous situations the leads stopped to make out like their lives weren't in danger. I won't recommend this book to anyone.

This was a wild ride to say the least. I had no idea what to expect but my mouth was definitely on the floor several times during this book. I love how unique this storyline was and the added element of romance was the cherry on top. Looking forward to more books by this author.
