Perry Dog Publishing Presents: E. N. Crane... aka the woman who has the doggo named Perry and made it her publishing imprint and then adopted another dog and now there is nothing to name after him...
My first series: The Ampersand Series, is a dark, moody thriller. Coming next is the Cálida Solano series which will be an extension of Bridgettes world.
The ever growing series is Cynthia Sharp. These books are meant to be fun romps that leave you laughing, blushing and waiting for your next visit to Sweet Pea, OH.

Specialist Cynthia Sharp is the canine handler of a silly mutt who breaks out of the vehicle whenever left alone. She also is a crazy chowhound (Sgt. Pupperson) aka Winnie, who would rather eat junk food of any kind instead of doing her job. When there is a rumor that there is going to be an explosion, Sharp is called into the commander’s office. The regular canine sniffer is sick and can’t do the job so the backup team. Sharp and Sgt Pupperson are called into active duty. They have not been off the base at all and Sharp is quite worried about the performance of the goofball sniffer she is in charge of. There is also the chance it is a training mission and not really a threat at all. This is a short story so I can’t tell much more. I thought it was funny, a little bad language and adult situations. A free ARC for me but this does not affect my review.
This is a cute short story of a female soldier and her dog which are both a hazard. The working dog is lazy and only motivated by human food. She is tripping disaster. She is smart and quick. She is able to figure out the dangerous plot among bumbling male know-it-all's.
This is about a military K9 handler and her dog Winnie in Afghanistan. The two constantly get in trouble. They go out on a field operation at a village. At this point we have a twisty path that leads to them being band from Afghanistan. This is a delightful read and I can't wait to read the next book in the series.
Sharp Investigations #0.5 A Bite in Afghanistan E.N. Crane
The fact that one of the protagonists is a dog may account for the title.
K9 unit, female handler, bomb sniffing Dog Winnie. Afghan Marketplace and bomb threat including traitor. Throw in some double entendres with sexual overtones.
This is a novella introducing Cyn Sharp and her Belgian Malinois. It precedes a series that is in preorder. Cyn Sharp is an Everywoman character...she trips, she falls, she stumbles but she gets back up again. It’s a good cozy style for E.N. Crane to transition to
Thoroughly enjoyed this short introduction to Sharp and Winnie. Great characters who come to life almost immediately. No development needed. That's quite a writing talent. Humor is perfect.
This wonderful story is a prequel to a series that looks interesting. As a stand alone I enjoyed it immensely and can't recommend it enough for humor. For dog lovers a must read now!
If you want a good laugh this is the book for you. How much trouble can a K9 and her handler can get into is beyond what you would expect but in the end the job gets done.
