April 16, 2021What can we learn from the early church as the world begins to reopen? The Book of Acts by Alabaster is a beautiful work of art showcasing an active, moving historical account of the beginnings of the early church and how its message was received by the world.
Brown and Blue
Brown and blue colors are highlighted in the photos, giving me a sense of earthy granularity and heavenly hope. I sensed the excitement and openness that came with the spread of the Good News, but I also felt a sense of danger and mystery associated with the early Church.
Alabaster’s iconic design is fitting for the book of Acts, as it presents the Gospel to a modern audience. This book is softcover, 120 pages, perfect bound, and printed in full color on uncoated paper in Canada. The dimensions are 7.5 in x 9.5 in. The New Living Translation works well to keep the narrative moving quickly.
Stories and Studying
The story of Saul’s conversion was especially meaningful, as I wondered at the full radiance and glory he must have experienced. It was a life-changing moment, and the photos helped bring a surreal moment to reality.
I’ve been studying Paul and Silas in prison, and this book helped me think about what a journey they had already been through together. They were looking for opportunities to share, and God had not failed them, so they were able to worship and witness in a jail cell.

As the world begins to reawaken after COVID, the book of Acts reminds me that Christians are on a mission. The Good News of Jesus Christ is better than anything we can imagine.

The book of Acts is a powerful historical narrative about the infant church. We see by reading Acts the faithful example of the early apostles response to the great commission in Mathew 28.
Peter, Paul, James, Stephan, etc all turned to scripture. They vigorously contended for the faith, using scripture as their point of argument.
The book of Acts show us merely the beginning of the church, which at the time was a small mustard seed in the hands of 12 faithful men, and has now grown in 2000 years to a mustard tree, proving the promise of Christ to be true.
The book of Acts convicts me in my approach to my workplace. The apostles were not afraid to offend with the gospel even at the risk of their own lives. And yet we are often afraid of losing our job, or having a coworking think something negative of us.
The book of acts has helped me look to God and pray He helps me repent of this cowardliness.

An amazing book that was relevant then and even more relevant now!
The book of Acts is probably one of my favorite books in the New Testament. Alabaster has done it again by capturing the narrative history of this book. I love how the photos within these pages really convey light, movement, strength, stillness, foundations, reflections, and more. This has truly shown that the Holy Spirit is working today and He’s working mightily. The book of Acts encourages us to prevail like His Word and that is a great promise.

I am always so excited to read the latest release from Alabaster Co. and am grateful to have been able to get my hands on the Book of Acts as part of their ambassador program. Their visuals is what has always impacted me the most, but I feel that in this release they took it up a notch visually. The ways in which they crafted each visual to flow and correlate so beautifully with the text truly impacted me. I have been involved with a church plant recently and being able to read this Book of Acts has truly helped me in my endeavors. Seeing such a beautiful and modern crafting of this amazing book in the Bible reminds me how we can take the Truth and bring a fresh and artful touch to it as we seek to share the good news with our communities.

I was gifted this as a part of the Alabaster Influencer Program, and I recommend it to everyone. The Book of Acts is such an enthralling piece of its own, but Alabaster Co makes the experience even more noteworthy. The imagery paired with each passage helps to illuminate the message of the book. It’s intriguing to have a representation of the story that lays down the foundation of the Christian religion and shares what occurred after Jesus’ life. I have been deeply impacted by this book as it reminds me of the a crucial time in history that no other event could fully compare to.

This is probably my favorite and most personally timely release as I’m going through Acts with my church at the moment. I love having this version of Scripture to inspire my time in the Word. The photos throughout this text are lovely and inspiring as I read. I’m grateful for the o rubies work of Alabaster in pairing God’s Word with stunning imagery in a package that feels good to hold in your hand and even display on a coffee table! I got to view the book of Acts through a complimentary copy with the influencer program and the imagery in this book is stunning! All of the photos could be framed which makes it so appealing for anyone sitting down to read it for the first time or for anyone that loves to but beautiful items on display in their home or office!

I am a big fan of Alabaster Co. and the work that they do. I think that the book of Acts might just be my new favorite! The book of Acts is such a powerful book for the people of God, and the imagery that the Alabaster team chose to accompany the scripture beautiful partners with the Truth. Artistic, beautifully illustrated, aesthetically pleasing. Great coffee table book and always a conversation starter in our home. Love it!!!
