Have you ever had a rash?

I’m talking one of the bad rashes. You know, the crusty kind that ooze puss and fester under the surface of your skin? The kind you gotta see a doctor for.

Well, I’ve got a rash. It’s a bad one.

And her name is Erika Wild.

I’ve been told I can’t pick at my rash. I can’t cuss at either.

Fuck. That. Shit.

So when I was coerced into a last-minute getaway on a billionaire’s luxury mega yacht wedding extravaganza, sans my rash, I thought, why the fuck not? What could go wrong?

What could go wrong?

The answer to that, my friend, is—everything.

A poisoning.

A murder.

A Drunk overboard.

If this yacht would’ve been a train, we’re talking Drunk on the Orient Express type shit.

Consider this your official invitation to attend the Boomer wedding fiasco of the year. Where everyone is a suspect.

Join me and Al for more Caribbean-flavored adventure as we untie the knots on this nautical mystery.

Full steam ahead!

Rated R for colorful language, crude humor, sexual innuendos, and the occasional non-PC remark. Rated A+ for entertainment value.

**Oh, and one more thing. While I’m not one of those people who’ll tell you what to do with your life or anything, I will say, if you haven’t read the first five books in my story, you may wanna start there. You’d find this story a lot more entertaining if you did. That said, this story has its own sea legs and can stand on them just fine, if necessary.

This easily one of my favorite series! Absolutely love the characters in these books, the settings, the fantastic sense of humor that is displayed in the banter between Drunk and Al, as well as the back and forth between Drunk and Wild. Plus, the ending of this one was shocking, not what I was expecting, and finished off on a very interesting cliffhanger! Mitchell, thank you for such a fun book series :0)

Drunk Overboard possesses the strong fundamentals of a good book with a bevy of likeable characters, agood mystery, a fantastic setting, and copious humor. The only downsides were that it was a little long winded and sometimes the main character goes so over the top that it becomes cringeworthy for brief moments. Nonetheless, this is a strong series of beach reads included in Kindle Unlimited. 3.5 stars and recommended if you want a humorous mystery romp with a little adult humor.

Still love the series

I have really loved this series from the start, and always looked forward to the next adventure. This is the first book that I have rated a 3 star though. I know Drunk probably has to expand his territory of operation, in order to come up with new stories, but I have always enjoyed the plot taking place on a resort. There are some base reasons for this, some of which include, my memories of being on a resort, the memory of the easy flow of alcohol and kicked back life style on the resort, and the dream of being able to retire to some place similar to it. With this story taking place, mainly on a yacht, it through off the main vibe that attracted me to the initial books. That being said, it is still a great story, and I still look forward to reading Mr. Mitchell’s upcoming novels, but this one did not hit me the same way that his previous works have done.

Hi Friends,
If I wasn’t already invested in Drunk and Al, I would’ve pitched this book into the ole bonfire. The protagonist has gone from a slightly immature but endearing imp to a petulant infant
I’m not certain what the supposedly intelligent cop sees in this man child.
I purchased book 7 along with this one, mainly because of how much I enjoyed the earlier books in this series. But wading through 500 plus pages of a whining alcoholic child, I’m not certain I’ll start the next book any time soon.
I did add a star for an interesting spin on Murder on the Orient Express, though the ending wasn’t quite the surprise that the slog through 480 pages to get to it
Book probably would’ve gotten a third star if Zane had gotten a editor to chop about 100-140 pages out of it.

Enjoyable series of books

I"ve read the entire series of The Misadventures of a Drunk in Paradise. They are all quick reads and very entertaining. Although not necessary it is good to start with the first of this series called Drunk on a Plane and continue from there as they each tell the stories of Daniel Drunk (a former cop from the US) and how he came to live, and work at the Seacoast Majestic Resort in the Caribbean, and how he works with local law enforcement to solve crimes on the islands.

A witty, funny adventure with Drunk and the gang!

As with all the previous books in this series, Drunk Overboard was uproariously funny, with a little twist at the end! This was not a typical who-done-it although the standard fare does apply, but with broader strokes of genius from this writer's wickedly funny pen! Definitely a great read! Hope the next one comes a little faster though?! Great job!

Strangely disappointed..........

I have thoroughly enjoyed all the other Drunk books and was looking forward to this one. However, I'm disappointed that Drunk was so crude and nasty to Wiid and that there was so much of it. They have had their moments in the other books but for me this was not as amusing as the other books. And the story line although exciting in places was a little too far fetched, even for Drunk

I’ve really enjoyed the ‘Drunk’ series, and look forward to further installments, as there are several ‘characters’ (literally and figuratively) who need to be resolved…including the ever present friction between Drunk and his assistant Erica Wild. The stories are believable, and the twists and turns keep the suspense going. Interspersed with plenty of comic relief they are easy reads, yet you feel like you really read something when you are done. I recommend this series.

Love the story

I've enjoyed all these books so far. I'm getting a little tired of Drunk acting like a bitter teenager. And having been a cop he seems to be slow on the uptake sometimes. Please have Drunk grow up some, not like a 50 year-old, more like a 30 year old. Otherwise I'm looking forward to reading the next book. Also how many competent cops are on that Island? Frankie seems to be real busy all the time.

Excellent who-dun-it, why-dun-it, how-dun-it

More merry misadventures, misapprehensions, skulduggery and bad behavior, double-dealing and fakery, high-end burglary, and even some real romance thrown in for good measure.

Daniel Terrence Drunk has not, however, completely matured by the end of this book!

Thoroughly enjoying the series!

Don’t much write reviews but I’ll make an exception here. I’ve found this entire series to be humorous, exciting, titillating, and all together entertaining. If you’ve not met Drunk and the quirky cast inhabiting his world you’re definitely missing out!

Fun Read: Started this series and after Drunk Overboard only have one more to read. Great characters have been built through out the series. I thought I had if figured out but I was sure wrong. Easy to read, lots of laughs and seems like you know everyone in the book. Well written, hope to see more in the series.

Excellent story teller.

I started reading this series of books expecting them to be similar to Tom Sharp, riotously funny. However, although they had me laughing, I found them to be excellently written "Who Dunnit" books. The story and the descriptive prose made them hard to put down, several twists that were hard to see coming and clear outcomes. Waiting for the next one!

Loving this series

I have been hooked since the first book and love how each is better than the last. I can’t wait for the next one. I love the balance of humour, adventure, mystery and banter. My only complaint is the wait between books.

While we got an interesting twist at some point, I thought this one would never end. I've enjoyed the Drunk series but this one seemed a lot longer than the others - too long by half in fact. Drug on and on and on and on.

A fun read

Great characters great dialogue interesting storyline with a nest twist at the end that I didn't see coming, if you like the Travis McGee series you'll love drunk, except drunk has a potty mouth lol and doesn't go on crusades but they are entertaining.

It was hilarious. Each book is more funny than the last. I was very surprised at the mystery and who did it. Surprised with how how it ended but I know I will not be disappointed in the next book. This series is so funny and enjoyable

The whole series is quite fun. This last book had a clever twist, I didn’t see it coming. Drunk is a little hard to take sometimes, but as Al guides him towards self-realization, you just have to appreciate that he really does have a good heart.

Love a good DRUNK adventure!!

Zane Mitchell hit another one out of the (great series ever read by myself) park. This crew of Paradise is a great example of supporting characters. I'm still smiling and anxious for #7 DRUNK in this hit series. Bravo💃📖

Good Drunk fun.

This series has grown on me more than I ever expected. The relationships between all of the steady characters are endearing, while Drunk's ridiculous life is always entertaining. Always a fun, light read with a bit of mystery and action.

Drunk is great!

The Drunk series is filled with misadventures and fun. Drunk's antics and colorful language are a great source of humor and wit. Each book can stand alone but when read in order, each character becomes richly developed. Best series I have read in years!

Fun

These mysteries are a lot of fun. They have many twist and turns with unexpected endings. The characters are well-developers and quirky. I appreciate that the author did not drop the f bomb as much in this book as he has previous books.

I love this series. Hilariously funny. Great mystery. Zane is great with the plot development and at saying things you shouldn’t but always wanted to. There better be a book 7 because I need to know what happens next! Please don’t leave us hanging.

Burglaries and murder

Leave it to Drunk and his friends to become involved in a murder mystery as well as a series of burglaries amongst the islands jewelry stores. This makes for interesting reading.

Each book gets better and better

Love these books and I'm 69 years old. Books are not for the young due to foul language but so much fun. I wish there were movies of each book. Keep 'me coming Mr Mitchell.

Fun, as always

Never get tired of reading this rollicking series, til that bitchy Erica comes along to spoil everyone's fun ! Gotta have a crabby person for interest tho, in juxtaposition to the cooperative group of friends that lucky Drunk has found
