I've never taking settling down seriously until I see her at the library. Miranda Graves. A shy, introverted and nervous romance writer with thunderstorm eyes and long light brown curls. Pale and curvy, she revs my motor more than riding my motorcycle. As soon as I saw her, I knew she was the one. The woman that was meant to be mine. And if it takes me forever to convince her of that, so be it. I'll be around until she understands that I'm not going anywhere.

The big, tough SWAT officer made a beeline for me as soon as he saw me at the library. And I ran. His whiskey-colored eyes and burly, muscular body scare the heck out of me. He's just too much. Too big, too bold, too good-looking. Just too much. I don't think I could ever keep him happy. I'm just me. A plain jane. Or plain Miranda as the case may be. What could a man like that possibly see in me? It must be some kind of joke. But he keeps coming and he gives me more pleasure than I've ever felt. Will he get tired of me or is this over the top man meant to be mine?

Dear God, this guy is an overbearing creep. He doesn't listen to anything she says, forces her to do things she's not comfortable with, she says so, but just because she's shy and totally unassertive he just does whatever he wants, and to hell with her opinion. And he's a cop, so she doesn't even have the option to call the police, not really. I cringed every time he said "baby girl", which was so often I was permanently cringing. I just couldn't take it anymore and DNF this crap.

Deacon and Miranda’s story was definitely Insta-love and I absolutely loved how fast they fell for one another!!!! I think it’s funny he made her wait for the grand finale and that she practically had to seduce him when it came down to it!!!! I absolutely loved Deacons story!!!!!

This was a fast and steamy insta-love romance. Deacon see's Miranda and just has to make her his. He's determined to show her that he's the man she needs.
I know this is a short read, but I would have loved to have seen just a little more between the two of them.

pretty good
I was so hoping Deacon was a shifter the way they kept describing his eyes in the book before this one and also in this book. But nevertheless this was good. Deacon was a womanizer but he waited patiently for Miranda.

Sweet and sexy!
I liked the characters, but it felt rushed. Especially the end. I would have liked to have seen more of their romance bloom rather than just their sexy times. But what we did see was swoon worthy!
